“Every man that shall hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, shall fall down and worship the golden image.” Daniel 3:10.
As soon as the music was heard over loudspeakers, the children at World Youth Day 2023 rose up to dance, jump, and play in front of the rising sun. On Sunday, the pagan day of the sun, the sun was honored and revered. This is a revival of Baal worship from the Old Testament.
“And they worshipped the sun toward the east. Then he said unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here?” Ezekiel 8:16, 17.
Sunday was not just one of the many pagan customs in the times of ancient Israel; it was an antichristian practice for the early church. Tragically, the Christian world has today embraced the ancient pagan practice of sun worship. The worship of the sun was on full display on Sunday morning during the final day of World Youth Day. Before Pope Francis was scheduled to give the final mass, 1.5 million Catholic youth danced and jumped to electronic dance music, which is a combination of energetic repetitive beats mixed with hypnotic sound effects.
Roman Catholic “DJ” Priest Guilherme Peixoto was the person responsible for “igniting” World Youth Day, according to news sources. Dance music was played and the children frolicked before the rising sun. Le Pelerin reported the following:
“Father Guilherme, the DJ priest who ignites WYD … Before the great mass of Pope Francis on Sunday August 6, the biggest fans will be able to find Father Guilherme. An appointment made at 7:30 in the morning! This will be his first ‘service’ of the day.” [1]
So before Pope Francis Sunday Eucharistic Mass, Catholic Priest Peixoto energized the youth with his unholy music. It is important to recognize that the primary functions of drums and music in pagan rituals were to induce trance states for communication and possession by the false deities. The repetitive and hypnotic rhythms created by the drum beats helped participants enter altered states of consciousness, enabling them to connect with the spiritual realm, experience visions, or achieve a heightened sense of awareness.
Sunday is a mark or symbol of apostasy, and pagan music intensifies the abomination. All of this contradicts the Decalogue and the seal of the living God. The church was led to replace God’s true seventh-day Sabbath with a new paganized Christianity that now embraces sun worship after hundreds of years of gradual apostasy. The man of sin exalted himself above God by claiming the power to change divine law, God’s 4th Commandment. Today, almost the entire world accepts the counterfeit Sabbath.
How long will God allow this pagan perversion to continue? The Scriptures remind us that there is a limit to God’s mercy.
“Thou hast despised mine holy things, and hast profaned my sabbaths.” Ezekiel 22:8.
“Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.” Ezekiel 22:26.
“Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord GOD.” Ezekiel 22:31.

Baal worship is alive and well. We need the Elijah messengers to speak out against this and other apostasies.
This is where our church is leading its SDA youth. There is a strong resemblance between what Roman Catholic and Adventist leaders are doing to their youth. So much for us being a distinct and unique people.
