No Seventh-day Adventist who has been watching and praying can deny that we are living in the time of trouble described in Early Writings, p. 85, 86:
“At that time, while the work of salvation is closing, trouble will be coming on the earth, and the nations will be angry, yet held in check so as not to prevent the work of the third angel. At that time the ‘latter rain,’ or refreshing from the presence of the Lord, will come, to give power to the loud voice of the third angel, and prepare the saints to stand in the period when the seven last plagues shall be poured out” (Early Writings, pp. 85, 86).
Legislation related to restricting our freedoms is being promoted by zealous globalists with radical environmental policies. Public health officials are warning of more business closures and more mandatory lockdowns. Threats of war, pandemics and political strife, along with the oppressive Covid-19 measures and a continuing erosion of morality, are destroying our civilization in just a few months, which took centuries to build. We have learned from the Covid-19 pandemic that profound disruptive changes can occur in a very short period of time.
Bill Gates, George Soros, Joe Biden, Pope Francis, the Rockefellers, the Rothschilds and other globalists at the World Economic Forum have presented their plan for the sustainability of our planet. A coalition of politicians, corporate leaders and big tech companies in collaboration with the United Nations are campaigning for a global reset in the new economy that is coming. [1] The plan is that “you will own nothing and you will be happy.” That will be the price you will have to pay to effectively address the so-called climate crisis.
The above video comes directly from the World Economic Forum. [2] When secular liberals, who believe that government is the savior, try to solve all of our problems, they will do so by using faulty, human, authoritarian solutions. This means locking everyone up in their homes, closing businesses, eliminating the middle class and abolishing private property. They believe that when the majority of the population owns nothing, that somehow they will be happy. This brilliant idea to combat the climate change crisis is for the middle class and the poor to give up their possessions and freedoms, while the super-rich end up owning everything.
This is a call to abandon a capitalist political system and embrace a type of communist socialism. The hypocrisy of these super rich globalists who live in multi-million dollar mansions and fly in private jets is incredible. Why don’t they lead by example and start by giving away all of their wealth first? Why don’t they abandon their possessions? Why are they closing down and destroying other peoples’ businesses while their businesses stay open and their fortunes increase? [3]
Unfortunately, this sentiment has embedded itself in the minds of many politicians and government leaders. This kind of globalist mentality is necessary for the prophecies of Revelation to be fulfilled. Notice the global framework described in prophecy that will be in operation:
“And he [USA] exerciseth all the power of the first beast [Rome] before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.” Revelation 13:12.
This will happen through an absolute and worldwide control over everyone:
“For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.” Revelation 17:17.
This prophecy describes a movement that will be global in nature. The kings of the earth will work in concert with the beast of Revelation, and it is extremely terrifying and disturbing to see their global framework being created before our eyes. God help us. We are at the end of time. Notice this timely warning:
We have a great responsibility to raise the alarm and proclaim God’s message of faith and hope to the world. What is not done now in this small period of short-lived prosperity will have to be done in times of great adversity:“Christians should be preparing for what is soon to break upon the world as an overwhelming surprise, and this preparation they should make by diligently studying the word of God and striving to conform their lives to its precepts” (Prophets and Kings, p. 626).
“We are living in the most solemn period of this world’s history. The destiny of earth’s teeming multitudes is about to be decided. Our own future well-being, and also the salvation of other souls, depends upon the course which we now pursue. We need to be guided by the Spirit of truth. Every follower of Christ should earnestly inquire, ‘Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?’ We need to humble ourselves before the Lord, with fasting and prayer, and to meditate much upon his Word, especially upon the scenes of the Judgment. We should now seek a deep and living experience in the things of God. We have not a moment to lose. Events of vital importance are taking place around us; we are on Satan’s enchanted ground. Sleep not, sentinels of God; the foe is lurking near, ready at any moment, should you become lax and drowsy, to spring upon you and make you his prey.” (Great Controversy, p. 601).
“The warnings that worldly conformity has silenced or withheld must be given under the fiercest opposition from enemies of the faith. And at that time the superficial, conservative class, whose influence has steadily retarded the progress of the work, will renounce the faith and take their stand with its avowed enemies, toward whom their sympathies have long been tending” (Testimonies, vol. 5, p. 463).
In the midst of this crisis we must be sharing the good news of the glorious return of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will come in glory to save His people during the great “time of trouble” (Daniel 12:1) “which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth” (Revelation 3:10). May God help us to be among those who will say on that day:
“And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the Lord; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.” Isaiah 25:9.
