On January 26, 2021, the World Council of Churches, along with various United Nations agencies, civil societies and religious organizations came together to participate in the 7th Symposium on the Role of Religion and Faith-Based Organizations in International Affairs. Ganoune Diop was the keynote speaker and represented the Seventh-day Adventist Church, one of the co-sponsors for this event.
Because the event was held online, we were able to get an inside look at what is really going on at these multilateral international symposiums. [1] Even though the four and a half hour talks were quite revealing, they weren’t surprising. Ganoune Diop sat in the lion’s den as radical feminists attacked marriage, family, fatherhood and men. Our world increasingly shows contempt for all things biblical. The family institution that God has established in the beginning is being characterized as the “patriarchy” that needs to be “dismantled.”
Lopa Banerjee.
Lopa Banerjee is the Director of the Civil Society Division of UN-Women. She is a feminist and she spoke at the event. She revealed what the UN’s feminist plans are for the future as our world moves forward:
Lope Banerjee: “What should the United nations be doing differently? It’s really looking at multilateralism for now. We have been living with the multilateral framework of the 20th Century. This multilateral framework doesn’t serve us anymore. We need to look at a multilateral system that is feminist. A multilateral system that recognizes and dismantles its colonial aspects, because there are the decolonization as people were talking before this. We need to see what aspects of decolonization of multilateralism that we need to be looking at, recognizing its patriarchal aspects of multilateralism that we know exists. (video time 4:08:34) [1]
The traditional biblical family is not the creation of man. God established the family during creation week in the book of Genesis. God’s views of men, women, and children are taught in the Bible. Its truth must be affirmed, embraced and communicated. Trying to dismantle what God has established is an attack against God Himself and the Christian family. This is where we find ourselves in the culture war as marriage, family and gender are reinvented. Notice what God said to Eve in the Garden of Eden:
“And the Lord said, ‘Thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.’ In the creation God had made her the equal of Adam. Had they remained obedient to God—in harmony with His great law of love—they would ever have been in harmony with each other; but sin had brought discord, and now their union could be maintained and harmony preserved only by submission on the part of the one or the other. Eve had been the first in transgression; and she had fallen into temptation by separating from her companion, contrary to the divine direction. It was by her solicitation that Adam sinned, and she was now placed in subjection to her husband. Had the principles enjoined in the law of God been cherished by the fallen race, this sentence, though growing out of the results of sin, would have proved a blessing to them; but man’s abuse of the supremacy thus given him has too often rendered the lot of woman very bitter and made her life a burden” (Patriarchs and Prophets, pp. 58, 59).
The problem is not with the order that God has established for our homes, it is the fallen, sinful and erring men who violate that order that have caused difficulties. But do we destroy the system because some abuse it? Of course not. Do we “dismantle” our judicial systems because we have some bad judges? Do we dismantle the civil government because some abuse their authority? Obviously not.
What the devil is trying to do through his agents is destroy everything that God has given us at the beginning in the Garden of Eden. Marriage has been redefined, the family order that God established in the home is being dismantled and the seventh-day Sabbath, Saturday, has been changed to Sunday.
Notice what else Lopa Banerjee, Director of the Civil Society Division at UN-Women, said at the symposium about the future. They are not just pushing feminism; they want the world to embrace the entire Marxist-socialist agenda of wealth redistribution, climate change and abortion:
Lopa Banerjee: Where are we right now? We will in a very short while be able to announce the critical actions across the six action coalitions. This group of constituency makers highlighted 6 critical areas of action. (1) Economic justice, (2) gender-based violence, (3) sexual and reproductive health and rights (abortion), (4) climate justice, (5) tech innovation and (6) feminist movements and leadership as the six critical areas of action that require central, fast-acting resource commitments. Chief Rabbi Laura Janner-Klausner.
The female Chief Rabbi Laura Janner-Klausner also spoke at the event. She spoke about how churches are going to change by getting them to adopt all genders “across the board” into church leadership positions.
Rabbi Laura: We have changed the nature of Judaism. The experience of congregants who are led by women, men and people of all genders (LGBT+) in fact, has changed enormously. They are more resilient. They understand what it is like to be in the hard place. They understand what it is like to come out the other side. The fights that we have had in women’s equality in religion, when it has paid off, such as having women clergy, and even senior women in the non Orthodox world in Brittan being a woman. Then we see that the quality of interactions, both of men and women clergy, has changed. There is a different language, a different way of speaking – across the board of all genders. People talking an emotional language, a straight language, an intellectual language, are far more integrated way of leading. And that doesn’t just belong to women. Having women as leaders has changed both men and women and people of all genders. And that has been amazing … We have to have solidarity and love and fun, which is very important, together, because that is how we are also resilient and that’s how we have changed religions and will continue to do so.” (video time: 1:47:39) [1]
Part of the feminist agenda is to “dismantle” the order established by God. It is not just biblical marriage, fathers and husbands that are under attack. They are coming after the churches to impose ordination and equality for women and to also promote an LGBT+ clergy.
Ganoune Diop.
Ganoune Diop was the keynote speaker for this symposium and spoke for 18 minutes. He spoke about “violence against women.” (video time 1:13:42) [1] Let’s be very clear: we find violence against women very appalling especially when it is committed by husbands who have the particular obligation to love and protect their wives. On this point, we are all resolutely opposed to violence against women.
The problem that I see with Ganune Diop’s message and with the church’s social message in general is that these men are very self-serving. It doesn’t take any courage to tell a room full of feminists that they “are sacred” and deserving of “full dignity” and “gender equality.” No feminist is going to refute or condemn that. Saying what the globalists and feminists already believe is a political way of not having to risk your popularity.
There are many real truths that feminists ignore; Truths that, as a pastor and church leader, Ganoune Diop has a moral obligation to speak out, but he won’t. We have too many leaders in the church who only speak what is fashionable and popular. Speaking smooth words to radical feminists will ensure a positive response without attacks from the ungodly powers of this world.
Since we are on the subject of violence, and if we are going to have an open and honest discussion on this topic, then we have to admit that many men are also victims of violence by radical feminist women. Ganoune Diop should have mentioned this, but he didn’t. And although the number of physically abused women outnumbers the number of physically abused men; I also believe that the number of men who are psychologically and verbally abused by crazed feminists far exceeds the number of women who are psychologically and verbally abused by men. Since God sees hatred in our hearts as equal to physical violence, our entire world is in trouble and we must all repent and change our ways. This is another point Ganoune Diop forgot to point out.
But the greatest act of discrimination against women, against their dignity and against their humanity is when murderous abortionists deny them the right to fulfill the highest calling ever given to humans: to be a mother! A mother’s love is the closest example we have of God’s love! But that’s not what Ganoune Diop did. He pandered to the radical feminist ideology that blames the “patriarchy” for all the ills of humanity. He bowed to their accusations that blame the Bible and God for all their problems.

Here is one of the slides from Ganoune Diop’s presentation. You actually have to pause the video to be able to see this slide. Stop the video at the following time – 1:26:32. [1] Here Ganoune Diop shows that he is out of compliance with the church’s decision on women’s ordination. The slide basically says that women are sacred, and because many churches affirm this sacredness, they can hold any position of leadership. The context is “religion.” If Ganoune Diop is advocating that women should be ordained and elected to any positions such as conference, union or division president, then he is out of compliance with the world church and should not be representing Seventh-day Adventists. But if Diop does believe and support the church’s position on women’s ordination, he should have had the decency and honesty to explain the Seventh-day Adventist position on ordination to the feminists during this symposium. Can’t we see the conflict in attending these events?
Dr. Musimbi Kanyoro
But the most disturbing revelation during this event came as a result of a question asked of Ganoune Diop during the symposium. Dr. Musimbi Kanyoro was one of the moderators during the event and asked Ganoune Diop a question live on camera. Keep in mind that Dr. Kanyoro has a Ph.D. in feminist theology [2] and is also a radical pro-abortion advocate who spends a lot of time fighting pro-life groups and pro-life legislation. [3] Notice the question Ganoune Diop was asked:
Dr. Kanyoro: “What are the effective ways to change or deconstruct the theological narratives of conservatives or fundamentalists with gender equality and justice?“ (video time 1:49:54) [4]
The question shows disdain for conservative Christian views. Why should we deconstruct or destroy the theological narratives of conservatives? Why not deconstruct the unbiblical views of pro-LGBT+, pro-feminists, pro-evolutionists and the pro-secular interpretations of God’s word by liberal Christians who deny the supernatural inspiration of the Bible? Ganoune Diop shouldn’t even have acknowledged the premise of the question. He should have objected by first asking, “What’s wrong with conservative views that they need to be deconstructed? But he didn’t. Notice his answer:
Ganoune Diop: “I think the conversation has to continue within each community. The interpretation of text is a complicated matter, there’s no question about it because no religion is monolithic, [or a] basic entity, you find more of a mosaic. Therefore, I think it is extremely important to revisit our scriptures but in conversation together. I think that is extremely important; but, whatever approach we will take, there are moral imperatives. And this is why I started with the idea of the full humanity of women. And then, another thing, I talked about the violence because some people read their scriptures as if everything is prescriptive, everything is normative. And that is unsustainable in itself. But I think to get into a more human and humane world it is important, at the end of my presentation I was talking about a renaissance. But renaissance is also critical for reformation. Reformation, renaissance, re-centering on the importance of every person and every human being. Reformation to reform our ways of relating to one another. And I think today we have a wonderful opportunity, a time of reckoning to revisit how we view other human beings.” [4]
This answer on how we are all a “mosaic” and have to “revisit the scriptures together” is not a unique concept that comes from Ganoune Diop. This is the theme of Pope Francis. Notice the following quote from a Catholic news source about the “mosaic” and being together:
“Pope Francis said the country’s Orthodox, Catholic and Protestant Christians, its Muslims and its Jews and its people with Macedonian, Albanian, Serbian and Croatian heritage “have created a mosaic in which every piece is essential for the uniqueness and beauty of the whole.” [5]
Then Pope Francis published a document call “A Mosaic of Fraternity” and shared the exact same theme used by Ganoune Diop:
“Because they have this willingness to go together, to build bridges, of fraternity. They also came with their wounds, with their questions, but above all with the joy of encountering one another; and once again they formed a mosaic of fraternity.” [6]
The Spirit loves us and knows everyone’s place: for Him, we are not bits of confetti blown about by the wind, but irreplaceable fragments in His mosaic.

Furthermore, in the message of the Pope, Urbi Et Orbi, Francis promotes the ecumenical “mosaic” message of unity with all the churches:
“Fraternity among individuals of every nation and culture. Fraternity among people with different ideas, yet capable of respecting and listening to one another. Fraternity among persons of different religions. Jesus came to reveal the face of God to all those who seek him. The face of God has been revealed in a human face. It did not appear in an angel, but in one man, born in a specific time and place. By his incarnation, the Son of God tells us that salvation comes through love, acceptance, respect for this poor humanity of ours, which we all share in a great variety of races, languages, and cultures. Yet all of us are brothers and sisters in humanity! Our differences, then, are not a detriment or a danger; they are a source of richness. As when an artist is about to make a mosaic: it is better to have tiles of many colours available, rather than just a few!” [7]
We have leaders who bow to Rome’s ideology of a “mosaic” brotherhood. Too many pastors only preach what is convenient and what the world wants to hear. We are abandoning our prophetic mission and truth by parroting the popular messages of the world. We were called to proclaim the forgotten truths that have been buried under tradition (Isaiah 58:12). Instead, Seventh-day Adventists are sponsoring feminist, Marxist events.
Dr. Musimbi also revealed that the “General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists” was a “sponsor” of the symposium (video time 1:15:54). And no, Ganoune Diop was not preaching the Three Angels’ Messages. He was kneeling before the altar of the multicultural gods of this world. We are very talkative with the feminists and Marxists when we shouldn’t be, and then we are silent with God’s truth when we should be speaking. With this attitude, how will our message be given?
Our mission is not to please anyone, but to illuminate the lives of all people with the light of God’s truth. Rather than join the enemies of God’s truth in their symposiums, we must defend these truths that are being attacked every day. Daily, God’s people are being bombarded by legions of demonic activity from within and without. But we have been promised that there will be a faithful few who will stand firm in proclaiming the Third Angel’s Message, and they will triumph in glory. Notice how the message will be proclaimed with power. This is a warning to all of our pastors and leaders:
“The bulwarks of Satan will never triumph. Victory will attend the third angel’s message. As the Captain of the Lord’s host tore down the walls of Jericho, so will the Lord’s commandment-keeping people triumph, and all opposing elements be defeated. Let no soul complain of the servants of God who have come to them with a heaven-sent message. Do not any longer pick flaws in them, saying, “They are too positive; they talk too strongly.” They may talk strongly; but is it not needed? God will make the ears of the hearers tingle if they will not heed His voice or His message. He will denounce those who resist the word of God” (Testimonies to Ministers, p. 410).
