On September 9, 2021, the Oregon Health Authority held an event to “clear up questions” about the Covid-19 vaccination. The event was called “Our Faith Communities and the Vaccine” and brought together health experts and two religious leaders, a Seventh-day Adventist pastor and a Jesuit-trained Roman Catholic priest. Why the state health agency only brought in an Adventist and a Jesuit to help promote the Covid-19 vaccine leaves little to the imagination. But it appears that Seventh-day Adventists and Roman Catholics are becoming increasingly inseparable when it comes to ecumenism and church-state initiatives.

State health agencies have broad powers during emergencies and can set policies or make recommendations for governors and other local officials to follow. The Oregon Health Authority’s vaccination campaign was broadcast live on Facebook (see video above) and was held in Spanish because in the state of Oregon the Hispanic community has a low number of vaccinated people. So they brought in an Adventist pastor and a Jesuit-trained priest to help diffuse and clear up any misconceptions and to encourage people to get the Covid-19 vaccine. In other words, we were there to do the work of the state.
Vicky Flacon Vazquez from the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) welcomed the guest panel. At minute 4:01 in the video, she warned about not allowing “misinformation” to prevent anyone from getting vaccinated. She said the Covid-19 vaccine was necessary for our “children to go back to school.” Vicky also said that in order for shops and businesses to open and for us to support the local economy, people need to get vaccinated. She introduced the panel as follows:
Vicky, minute 4:30 – “We have Dr. Emilio DeBess, epidemiologist and Senior Health Advisor with OHA for all of Oregon. We also have Pastor Pedro Careaga from the Seventh-day Adventist Church from the counties of Marion and Polk and who has been in other places. We have Claudia Ramirez, Yamhill County Health Promoter and Father Rito Guzman from the Catholic Church in Washington county.”
What is interesting about the Roman Catholic priest is that he says at minute 6:23 that he studied “psychology and formation” at the Pontifical Gregorian Jesuit University in Rome. How disturbing it is that our pastors cannot get enough spiritual formations within our own denomination that we have to meet with trained Jesuits to become more proficient. So what exactly did the Adventist pastor and Jesuit-trained priest say? Pastor Pedro E. Careaga of the Woodburn Spanish Seventh-day Adventist Church, a church that is part of the Oregon Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, [1] had the following to say about Covid-19 vaccines during the state-sponsored vaccine drive:
Adventist Pastor, minute 51:53 – “Our church, as a church, has no objection. The church supports the vaccine but we also have to respect the convictions of other people. There are those who honestly say that they will not get vaccinated, and we cannot force them. So in a positive way and with love we need to show them that they are not only putting themselves at risk but also their families and the communities in which they live. But we have been encouraging people frequently that they get vaccinated. I don’t criticize those who haven’t done so, but I encourage and praise those who have as a way to tell them, ‘Look, others have already taken it.’ I believe that Covid is a community issue. Taking care of ourselves is taking care of others … The church supports the vaccine. In fact, there are some people who ask us for exemption letters so that they don’t have to get vaccinated for religious reasons. That is their personal belief, but as a church I cannot give a letter because it is not the position of the church.”

The Roman Catholic priest Rito Guzman is a top Jesuit who studied “Spiritual Theology with a specialization in Vocational Formation” at the Pontifical Gregorian Jesuit University. He graduated with the highest honors, Summa Cum Laude, top of his class. [2] Notice his spiritualistic contribution during the Covid-19 vaccination campaign:
Jesuit-trained Priest, minute 53:31 – “Pope Francis made a video with some church leaders from North America, South America and Central America in which they called on everyone to get vaccinated. Pope Francis’s words have become famous when he told us that getting vaccinated is an act of love. It is an act of charity that we do for others. Even though it is a small deed, it’s also huge. We can get vaccinated to protect others … There isn’t anything about the vaccine that goes against the faith. Just as Pastor Peter (Adventist) said, there is nothing that goes against the faith … the Vatican and the bishops have come together and said that there is nothing immoral with taking the vaccine.”
Jesuit-trained Priest, minute 56:21 – “Pope Benedict XVI has already been vaccinated. Pope Francis has already taken the vaccine. The Archbishops have been vaccinated. I have taken the vaccine. What are you waiting for? We have to be obedient. We have to listen.”
Adventist Pastor, hour 1:20:24 – “I would like to say to our community in all of Oregon – if we have faith in God we don’t have to live in fear. But we do need to take precautions. Sometimes we don’t want to see that presumption is very dangerous. We should take precautions but without fear. Get vaccinated because this act will be more positive for the security and well-being of everyone.”
Jesuit-trained Priest, hour 1:24:24 – “My invitation to the entire Hispanic community, let us allow ourselves to be led by our leaders. Let us trust the scientists and the doctors. Let us trust the leaders of the church that are telling us beforehand, let us walk this way … God sent us the vaccines. He gave us the mental capacity to create these wonders. If we only knew the wonders of these injections we would be surprised and grateful how God is taking care of us.”
Adventism has entered an unprecedented period never seen before in its history. What makes the current crisis so profound is that our leadership supports, defends and encourages these interfaith engagements with Rome. And to make things even more regrettable is that this is occurring during an event sponsored by a government enforcement agency, the Oregon Health Authority. Our problem is that we are either completely silent when it comes to the fulfillment of Bible prophecy: “And his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast” Revelation 13: 3; or we are celebrating the appearance of the Antichrist:
“And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?” Revelation 13:4.
Church and state have come together to promote Pope Francis as the highest authority in political and spiritual matters. This is what happened on September 9, 2021 in the state of Oregon. Is it any wonder why the Jesuits in Rome bestowed the highest honors on the Catholic priest Rito Guzman? He is doing exactly what the Jesuits are supposed to do: exalting the Pope of Rome as the object of our obedience and adoration. How can a Seventh-day Adventist sit back, smile, laugh and listen to what was said and not walk away from this Jesuit indoctrination event?
The message to the Hispanic community from the Oregon Health Authority was this: “Pope Francis has spoken. Listen to Pope Francis. Trust Pope Francis. Obey Pope Francis. Pope Francis is here to save us. Submit to Pope Francis and don’t question him. Pope Francis knows what is best for you. Pope Francis will let us know when all is well. Let Pope Francis guide us”.
When will our leadership finally acknowledge its culpability in all of this, and at the very moment that Rome is tightening its grip on political and religious power? Why would we assist, defend, and lend our influence to the building of a state-sponsored religion, Romanism? God’s word tells us that we will learn of our danger only when it is too late:
“God’s Word has given warning of the impending danger; let this be unheeded, and the Protestant world will learn what the purposes of Rome really are, only when it is too late to escape the snare” (Great Controversy, p. 581).
Protestants need to be reformed again. The historic faith is being taken away from us. The faith is being compromised by all the sweet talk of the ecumenical movement. When Protestantism was fully alive, the Reformers had a powerful and united voice against errors and distortions of biblical truth. Because of their great love for the word of God, the Reformers were able to turn the entire world upside down and change the entire course of human history during the 16th Century. But now the world is celebrating the healing of the divisions between Protestantism and Catholicism, as we are on the way to eliminating those things that separate us from Rome.
“But Romanism as a system is no more in harmony with the gospel of Christ now than at any former period in her history. The Protestant churches are in great darkness, or they would discern the signs of the times. The Roman Church is far-reaching in her plans and modes of operation. She is employing every device to extend her influence and increase her power in preparation for a fierce and determined conflict to regain control of the world, to re-establish persecution, and to undo all that Protestantism has done. Catholicism is gaining ground upon every side” (Great Controversy, p. 565).

Ah, my home state, which has previously paved the way for anarchy and euthanasia. Nothing surprises me here.

If the SDA church truly respected a member’s choice to not get vaccinated based on biblical principles and guidance from the inspired testimonies of sister White, they would not imply that the unvaccinated members are acting selfishly. They would back up their lofty claims of liberty of conscience by writing exemption letters to such conscientious individuals. Church leadership is speaking out of both sides of its mouth. So sad.

First, Advent Messenger… thank you for speaking up! Error & heresy must not be silently hidden, it must be exposed! I am encouraged though – not for heresy but to see God working through and in spite of it.
As I saw the signs coming together 6 years ago (Agenda 2030, Club of Rome, European Sunday Alliance, & United Religions International) I was led back to Christ. His imprint of truth 50 years ago in an SDA church prepared me to recognize what was happening. And regardless of my exiting Adventism, has been the cue to bring me back into relationship with Christ. The prophetic signs are unfolding NOW and we must be urgent!
So I sought to return but only saw Laodicea (a fulfillment of prophecy?) and rather than give up & live a life devoid of God I sought out a church to bring me into relationship with Christ. My desire for Him has grown & this fervor, this obsession seeks all of Him. There’s a joy that is a sweet reminder of my early Adventist days. Although I may gather in communal worship on Sunday I now keep Sabbath again.
Am I in Conflict? No. Like the early church this 1st day of the week gathering is just an addition to Sabbath. Here I share truth in the form of questions to my church friends. They look differently at scripture than what was heard from the pulpit… The thief on the cross… “remove the comma”, I say & ” how does it read”?… They say, “never looked at it that way before.” God is in the midst of this walk for as events unfold, quickly I must add, this flock needs someone who will stand for God’s truth. He puts us in places we know not of but to speak His truth. Some who read this post will discount my words, perhaps calling me a heretic. But Jesus said there are other sheep not of this pasture & these sheep need to hear the truth. So when they hear “Come out of her my people!” they will know. So I ask, “would coming along side make a difference? God desires we know Him & His word & this means to speak to error in & out of the SDA church. They should not settle for what they are told to believe but have opportunity to question, seek and see the truth.
Heresies are painful. We know the great shaking separates wheat from tares, sheep from goats…. I once thought I was lost after leaving the SDA church 40 years ago but now i know that to whom He calls he never loses, and He who holds us will never let us go. Stay faithful, do not let heresy stamp out your faith in Jesus… the larger SDA picture of bible truth is still relevant! Do not loose heart…read Revelation, the love story of how Jesus rescues us!

I doubt very seriously that the pope, the cardinals, the president of the united states, etc. have taken a real vaccine! I believe that they know what is in this vaccine and they know better than get the real jab! I am sure that Bill Gates, nor Fauci would ever take the real vaccine, because they are two of the people that invented it!
I am waiting to see what happens to all these people that have taken this vaccine, and its boosters, next year. All the doctors that are against it have told us that it takes about six months to a year to see the true results of what this vaccine will do to the human system. I expect to see hundreds, if not thousands of people dropping dead from heart problems, or worse. We are already starting to see this happen.
I just read that since this vaccine did not kill as many people as they wanted it to kill, they are planning on releasing a Small Pox pandemic on us! We know for a fact that Bill Gates wants the population down to 500,000 people. The Guide Stones in Georgia also say the same thing. It was erected by a man using the name R.C. Christian. Sounds like Roman Catholic Christian to me! (most assuredly a Jesuit!)
The saddest part about all of this is that even the Catholics don’t have a clue about what is going on. Don’t they realize that the Jesuit’s have taken an oath to the church that they will kill and destroy ANYONE, and EVERYONE, even Catholics, to justify the end results? Very sad commentary. Let us stand strong and be faithful to the one true God, and Jesus Christ, His dear son, and our loving Savior, through to the very end!

Actually there are a fair amount of Catholics that see through pope Francis and the vaccines and the ecumenical movement. There are
websites with Roman catholics speaking out against him and what he is doing. My sister and brother in law are two that have seen through him and just recently i gave them several books by Sister White including the GC. They were glad to get them.

“The historic faith is being taken away from us.”
Rather, we have voluntarily taken our historic faith, dumped it in the toilet, and stomped on the flush handle.
Alan says
As a corporate church that is true, but many individuals are holding on to the faith once delivered to the saints.
