Pope Francis: Laudato Si’ and Fratelli Tutti are Needed for Local, Regional, National and Continental Settings

The battle lines are being drawn. Pope Francis has his eyes on the whole world and wants to impose his teachings on an intercontinental level. On November 17, 2021, the Pope hosted the World Meeting of the Justice and Peace Commissions of Episcopal Conferences in the Vatican. The purpose of this meeting was to “share experiences, evaluations and proposals in this phase of the current global crisis, in light of the Encyclicals Laudato Si’ and Fratelli Tutti.” [1]

Pope Francis presented his solutions for the “current global crisis” and there are no surprises. He affirmed that the only way to “contribute to the growth of social, economic and ecological justice” and to promote efforts of “peace” is to implement the policies contained in his papal encyclicals at the intercontinental level. The Pope explained:

“In carrying out this mission, you can draw extensively from the Encyclicals Laudato Si’ and Fratelli Tutti, while working to apply them in the light of various local situations and the different continental, regional and national settings.  Indeed, in every part of the world integral development, and thus justice and peace, can only be advanced by pursuing these two paths: care for our common home and fraternity and social friendship.  Two paths arising from the Gospel of Jesus Christ, yet paths on which we can walk alongside many men and women of other Christian confessions, other religions, and those with no particular religious affiliation” [1]

Something very wrong is taking shape before our eyes and can we just sit quietly and accept the establishment of the final tyranny? Roman Catholicism has become more popular and influential than ever, and the Pope wants to be the undisputed supreme ruler of the world. Rome wants all nations to bow to her authority by accepting her solutions for our planet. We are reminded of the following from the pen of inspiration:

“Let the restraints now imposed by secular governments be removed, and Rome be reinstated in her former power, and there would speedily be a revival of her tyranny and persecution” (Great Controversy, p. 564).

The restraints are being removed. They have been compromised. Thanks to the “global pandemic,” the separation of church and state is becoming a thing of the past. Today the church wants universal authority over the states. Rome is aggressively dictating both to heads of state and heads of the church. Either they will submit or they will be replaced. A great battle is brewing right now, and this battle will have a great impact on religious and civil liberties.

Pope Francis is calling for the principles of Fratelli Tutti and Laudato Si’ to be enacted at the continental, regional and national levels, and he is calling on “other Christian confessions” to work “alongside” with him in this effort. Do you know what this means? He is reiterating his right to temporal power. Under the reign of Antichrist, all powers must be brought to the knee of Rome. We are dealing with a power that is being animated by demonic forces:

“And the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority” Revelation 13:2.

Protestantism once held in check the expansion of the Papacy’s ultimate hope of achieving global jurisdiction. Tragically, Protestantism is compromising all the principles of the Reformation. In truth, the whole world is wondering after the beast! With the conquest of all the world’s political and religious systems, who will stand in the way of Rome’s global aspirations? Seventh-day Adventists? We had better oppose Rome’s calls for Fratelli Tutti and Laudato Si.’ If we don’t, we will most certainly be lost:

“There are many who are at ease, who are, as it were, asleep. They say, ‘If prophecy has foretold the enforcement of Sunday observance, the law will surely be enacted;’ and having come to this conclusion, they sit down in calm expectation of the event, comforting themselves with the thought that God will protect his people in the day of trouble. But God will not save us if we make no effort to do the work he has committed to our charge … for as yet the message has gone to comparatively few, and the world is to be lightened with its glory. The present truth—the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus—has not yet been sounded as it must be” (Review and Herald, December 24, 1889).

We don’t have the luxury to do what others are doing; namely, sticking their heads in the sand, pushing the snooze button and going back to sleep. God has entrusted us with the opportunity to proclaim His warning message against the beast, his image and his mark. Only by exposing falsehoods and errors can we preserve the faith of Jesus. I cannot imagine going through this period of great darkness without shining the light of Christ on this lost generation. Without the light of Christ, His truth, only chaos can exist.

Sadly, we are seeing the faith decimated today and the only solution has to come from a restoration of biblical truth and a return to the word of God. That is the only way to defend and preserve the true faith. “Restoration” is a dirty word in this generation because it implies that the modern church today is in apostasy. But a restoration is exactly what we need today:

• “And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.” Isaiah 58:12.
• “If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words.” Isaiah 58:13.
• “Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.” Isaiah 58:14.

The end is near. Prophecy warns us that when we see the healing of the deadly wound and the union of the great religious bodies, these acts will precede the final conflict in the great controversy. In this conflict, Seventh-day Adventists cannot be neutral or ecumenical. The third angel’s message is more true and necessary in this generation than ever. Now is not the time to abandon our post or back down. We must move forward with “the mighty, the most solemn, testing message ever given to the world” (Manuscript Release, Vol. 5, p. 314).
