“It is not alone those who openly reject the Testimonies, or who cherish doubt concerning them, that are on dangerous ground. To disregard light is to reject it” (Testimonies, Vol. 5, p. 680).
While we hold up Ellen White as our prophet, we reject her messages from God for the church in this crisis hour. Have we not depended on our own wisdom to guide the local church boards, conferences, unions, and General Conference committees? Is God directing men and women on committees and church boards to go against His explicit counsels? Nonetheless, we are forced to admit that we are not following Him when it comes to health reform, dress reform, and almost every other reform. In many churches today, we have worshippers who live and act just like the world. There is hardly any line of distinction.
“Would that every minister might realize the sacredness of his office and the holiness of his work, and show the courage that Elijah showed! … God calls for men like Elijah, Nathan, and John the Baptist-men who will bear His message with faithfulness, regardless of the consequences; men who will speak the truth bravely though it call for the sacrifice of all they have” (Prophets and Kings, p. 142).
How much longer can we disregard the instructions from heaven without receiving the retribution of God’s judgments? The ancient church was not exempt. The history of Jerusalem was written for our admonition. Their history will be repeated in our day if we continue to disregard God’s prophets. Destruction will come if we do not seek revival and reformation with all our hearts.
“If any will not be purified through obeying the truth, and overcome their selfishness, their pride, and evil passions, the angels of God have the charge: ‘They are joined to their idols, let them alone,’ and they pass on to their work, leaving these with their sinful traits unsubdued, to the control of evil angels. Those who come up to every point, and stand every test, and overcome, be the price what it may, have heeded the counsel of the True Witness, and they will receive the latter rain, and thus be fitted for translation” (Testimonies, Vol. 1, p. 187).
The rejection of the testimony given by the true witness, Jesus Himself, has a direct relationship to whether or not we will receive the Latter Rain and be prepared to stand during the final crisis hour. The sealing angel will never place the seal of God upon any man, woman, or child who is practicing known sin or neglecting known duty.
“These sighing, crying ones, had been holding forth the words of life; they had reproved, counseled, and entreated. Some who had been dishonoring God repented and humbled their hearts before Him. But the glory of the Lord had departed from Israel; although many still continued the forms of religion. His power presence were lacking” (Testimonies, Vol. 5, p. 210).
“So men who should be standing as faithful guardians of God’s law have argued, till policy has taken the place of faithfulness, and sin is allowed to go unreproved. When will the voice of faithful rebuke be heard once more in the church?” (Prophets and Kings, p. 141).
Who is responsible for this deplorable condition that is running rampant through so many churches? Let us all remember that God will never speak through a man or a committee that makes policies or rules that violate the counsel and orders of God in the Spirit of Prophecy.
“The watchmen are responsible for the condition of the people. While you open the door to pride, envy, doubt, and other sins, there will be strife, hatred, and every evil work. Jesus, the meek and lowly One, asks an entrance as your guest; but you are afraid to bid Him enter. He has spoken to us in both the Old and the New Testament; He is speaking to us still by His Spirit and His providences. His instructions are designed to make men true to God and true to themselves” (Testimonies, Vol. 5, p. 235).
God will have a faithful remnant of Seventh-day Adventists who will keep fighting to the end, but even this number will be purified soon, and God will use only those who are living up to every point of truth by the power of the Holy Spirit to finish the work. May God help us all, his leaders, pastors, and laypeople, to reach this high standard of righteousness so that this work can be completed quickly and Jesus can return.

Called to be Witnesses
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 5:16. {LHU 357.1}
In a special sense Seventh-day Adventists have been set in the world as watchmen and light bearers. To them has been entrusted the last warning for a perishing world. On them is shining wonderful light from the Word of God. They have been given a work of the most solemn import–the proclamation of the first, second, and third angels’ messages. There is no other work of so great importance. They are to allow nothing else to absorb their attention. {LHU 357.2}
The most solemn truths ever entrusted to mortals have been given us to proclaim to the world. The proclamation of these truths is to be our work. The world is to be warned, and God’s people are to be true to the trust committed to them. They are not to engage in speculation, neither are they to enter into business enterprises with unbelievers; for this would hinder them in their God-given work. {LHU 357.3}
Christ says of His people: “Ye are the light of the world” (Matthew 5:14). It is not a small matter that the counsels and plans of God have been so clearly opened to us. It is a wonderful privilege to be able to understand the will of God as revealed in the sure word of prophecy. This places on us a heavy responsibility. God expects us to impart to others the knowledge that He has given us. It is His purpose that divine and human instrumentalities shall unite in the proclamation of the warning message. {LHU 357.4}
So far as his opportunities extend, everyone who has received the light of truth is under the same responsibility as was the prophet of Israel to whom came the word: “Son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word of my mouth, and warn them from me” (Ezekiel 33:7). . . . {LHU 357.5}
In clear, distinct rays light has come to us, showing us that the great day of the Lord is near at hand, “even at the doors.” Let us read and understand before it is too late. {LHU 357.6}
We are to be consecrated channels, through which the heavenly life is to flow to others. The Holy Spirit is to animate and pervade the whole church, purifying and cementing hearts. Those who have been buried with Christ in baptism are to rise to newness of life. . . . Upon us is laid a sacred charge. The commission has been given us: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19, RSV). . . . You are dedicated to the work of making known the gospel of salvation. Heaven’s perfection is to be your power (Testimonies, vol. 9, pp. 19-21).

Sir,
Happy Sabbath. Thank you for those words of encouragement from the Pen 🖊 of Inspiration [Prov. 25:11]. May you continue to share the truth and reflect the meaning behind your name: Jon is a shortened form of the common given name Jonathan, derived from “YHWH has given,” and an alternate spelling of John, derived from “YHWH has pardoned.”

12 x 12 x 1000 = 144000 Generally this is understood to be a symbolic number representing all those who are saved in the last days. It also may be inferred to be a special sub group of those saved at the end times- these give the final message to the end time world.
I believe there will be many millions who are saved in the end times, but those who are saved are still a small group compared to those who are lost.
We are not due new light until the 1st and 2nd angles messages are complete.

Eze 33:30-33 KJV Also, thou son of man, the children of thy people still are talking against thee by the walls and in the doors of the houses, and speak one to another, every one to his brother, saying, Come, I pray you, and hear what is the word that cometh forth from the LORD.
(31) And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness.
(32) And, lo, thou art unto them as a very lovely song of one that hath a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument: for they hear thy words, but they do them not.
(33) And when this cometh to pass, (lo, it will come,) then shall they know that a prophet hath been among them.

There is only one remnant church. It is not Scriptural nor does the SOP support calling the faithful out. There will be a shaking but it is not the faithful that will be shaken out. God will raise up from the common people men and women to do his work. May we seek His guidance and wisdom to do His will.

Sir I see you are deeply concerned about the happenings in our church and rebellious leaders of the flock. After a review of chapter 1 I don’t see our church as being prefigured as Jerusalem for destruction but rather the whole world who have abandoned Gods commands and as such is heading for destruction. Review ‘Last Day Events’, chapter 12, “Divisions will come in the church. Two parties will be developed. The wheat and tares grow up together for the harvest.”
“The church may appear as about to fall, but it does not fall. It remains, while the sinners in Zion will be sifted out – the chaff separated from the precious wheat. This is a terrible ordeal, but nevertheless it must take place.”
