According to Politico, the Supreme Court is poised to overturn the landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade decision, which legalized abortion across the country. [1] [2] This decision would overturn the court’s previous ruling, correcting a mistake made in 1973 when abortion was declared legal. It will return power to the people and delegate decision-making authority to the states or the federal government. In other words, the court was not authorized to legislate from the bench, according to this ruling.
Congress must pass legislation that codifies Roe v. Wade as the law of the land in this country NOW. And if there aren’t 60 votes in the Senate to do it, and there are not, we must end the filibuster to pass it with 50 votes.
— Bernie Sanders (@BernieSanders) May 3, 2022
This new decision simply means that Americans and their elected representatives, either through state or federal law, will have to write their own bills, present them to their legislators, have them passed, and have them signed by a governor or the US President, because that is how laws are supposed to be made. The Supreme Court has ruled that there is no law unless state or federal governments participate in the process.
End the filibuster. Codify #RoeVWade with a national law protecting abortion rights. Expand the Supreme Court. Stop this horrifying injustice in its tracks.
— Elizabeth Warren (@ewarren) May 3, 2022
The Supreme Court lacks the authority to declare abortion legal throughout the United States. These laws must be passed by Congress or state legislatures. Unfortunately, the Supreme Court made their own law in 1973, declaring abortion legal. And now, by overturning Roe v. Wade, the people, not the courts, will have the power to make their own laws, as the US Constitution requires.
If #SCOTUS is going to legislate from the bench and turn back the clock 50 years on #RoeVWade, then the Senate needs to pass my Women’s Health Protection Act, and if we need to eliminate the filibuster to get it done, we should do that too. #WHPA

This is a good decision, but it will not end abortion in some states until the unborn are finally recognized as humans by all states or by a federal law. It has taken almost 50 years to right this wrong. Child sacrifice has always been wrong. Justifying abortion for birth control will always be wrong. Killing children is unconstitutional. How many more years will it take before we all realize this?
Codify Roe. End the filibuster. Fight like hell to preserve our fundamental human rights.
— Kirsten Gillibrand (@SenGillibrand) May 3, 2022
The most shocking aspect of all of these recent developments is the widespread belief that abortion should be protected because it is a fundamental right and a sacred medical procedure, according to Democratic Party leaders. How can a depraved action like dismembering a defenseless and innocent human being be openly celebrated? May God have mercy on those who enact legislation, support, practice, or remain silent in the face of a culture that loves death. The death and shame of all the millions of children who have been murdered over the last 50 years will not simply vanish. It will continue to exist, and our people will be held accountable before the God of Justice on the Day of Judgment.
The Coming Revolution
To make matters worse, the Supreme Court’s decision was leaked while it was still in the draft stages. This, it appears, has never been done before. Why would this information be leaked? Was it leaked in an attempt to sway the Court’s final draft and decision? Was this done to make their decision look bad? Was this done to enrage the public, to incite nationwide protests and possibly riots in order to intimidate the Supreme Court into reconsidering its decision to overturn Roe v. Wade?
This will endanger the very people who need access to legal abortion. The Senate must pass the House legislation to codify Roe, #AbolishTheFilibuster, and #ExpandSCOTUS.
Safe abortions are still legal and we must keep it that way. https://t.co/Y5VrUXH6vY

I believe that the motives are much more than just that. This information, I believe, was leaked in order to destabilize our institutions and spark a revolution. Democratic politicians are already calling for the filibuster to be abolished and the Supreme Court to be stacked with more justices as a result of this Supreme Court leak. This is exactly what Democratic leaders have been demanding since the Supreme Court leak. There are two hashtags that are now trending on social media: #expandthecourt and #endthefilibuster
If the report is accurate, the Roberts Court is poised to inflict the greatest restriction of rights in the past fifty years.
The Republican-appointed Justices’ reported votes to overturn Roe v. Wade would go down as an abomination.

Democratic leaders have responded by calling for the passage of legislation that would make abortion legal under federal law. Congress has the power to pass abortion legislation, but they would need 60 votes in the US Senate to do so. They don’t have the required 60 votes. Eliminating the filibuster is the only way for Democrats to pass an abortion law through federal law. If they succeed, our country will be forever changed. Ending the filibuster eliminates the need for consensus from the other political parties.
If true, this ruling will be an unconscionable rollback of fundamental rights for all people in the U.S. It will harm everyone, but especially Black and Brown folks. #ExpandTheCourt and pass the Women’s Health Protection Act! https://t.co/EXQDJDbiKz

The filibuster prevents a single political party from exercising absolute power. It prevents Democrats or Republicans from drastically altering our country. By lifting the filibuster, Democrats can stack the Supreme Court with four or more liberal judges, giving them an overwhelming majority in Congress, the White House, and the Supreme Court. Nobody would be able to stop them from passing whatever they wanted.
Abortion care is a fundamental human right and we must legislate like it.
The Senate must act before it’s too late.
Abolish the filibuster. Pass the Women's Health Protection Act.
— Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley (@RepPressley) May 3, 2022
A one-party system means more Covid tyranny, LGBT+ indoctrination, a climate change dictatorship, the loss of free speech in the public forum, and the loss of our civil and religious liberties. We will no longer recognize our country if the Democrats abolish the filibuster and expand the Supreme Court. We’d have to do whatever the majority wants, rather than what the Constitution says.
Congress must also abolish the filibuster and pass the Women's Health Protection Act to codify Roe v. Wade into law.
— Ilhan Omar (@IlhanMN) May 3, 2022
As a result of the Supreme Court’s leaked decision, a new frenzy has arisen, as well as a new agenda. Is everything just a big coincidence? We don’t believe so. Regardless of the motivation for the leak, we are gradually becoming an unstable society on the verge of chaos and revolution, rather than returning to the Constitution, as the present Supreme Court was seeking to achieve.
“And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.” Isaiah 59: 14.
Abolish the filibuster. Codify Roe. Expand the Supreme Court. Protect abortion rights by any means necessary.
We need all of the above. This is an emergency.

Has there existed a Party of such hate filled, morally void, spiritually depraved, God rejecting murderers, liars, and deceivers in American history? Woe to those who call good evil and evil good!! And our RL ”experts” continue to try to deceive us into believing that it’s the pro-life movement that’s against American liberties??

I rejoice in the (apparent) overturning of Roe v. Wade. It’s sad, however, that a Supreme Court with Catholic members who are voting to overturn the ruling are more inline with the Scriptures than the Adventist Church. The refusal of the church to stand decidedly against abortion (and some of their own institutions performing them) was the last straw for me. I could no longer justify supporting a church (with presence or tithes) that constantly lectured me about how to keep the 4th commandment but was complicit in the violation of the 6th. To offend in one point makes us guilty of all, so going to church on Saturdays and sleeping your afternoons away does not qualify anyone admission through the pearly gates. The self-righteousness of the uber-Sabbatarian Pharisees unfitted them for the Kingdom, but if we ignore the weightier matters of the law, we’ll be just as lost.
I do not know if Adventists know this or not, but keeping the Sabbath does not secure you a one-way ticket to heaven. Nobody is going to be able to look God square in the eyes and justify themselves about how pork has never passed between their lips or how they refused to walk on the beach during Sabbath hours, while their hearts were hardened against the wholesale slaughter of innocent babies to Molech.
I am in no way supportive or defensive of the wicked Catholic Church, but the fact that it does have, as official doctrine, a much better and Scriptural view on the most important social issue of our time puts the Adventist Church to shame.
