On July 13, 2022, Pope Francis addressed the participants of a climate change conference at the Vatican called “Resilience of People and Ecosystems under Climate Stress,” which was sponsored by the Pontifical Academy of Sciences. During his announcement, Pope Francis revealed the real reason for addressing climate change. His goal was never to simply provide clean air and water. Oh no. His true goal is to bring all of humanity together in “a universal communion with one another and with the rest of the world’s creatures.” He is attempting to unite all the political, religious, social, and economic forces into one body. The Pope cited Laudato Si’ and Fratelli Tutti and gave these specific justifications for his message on climate change:
• The phenomenon of climate change has become an emergency that no longer remains at the margins of society. Instead, it has assumed a central place, reshaping not only industrial and agricultural systems but also adversely affecting the global human family, especially the poor and those living on the economic peripheries of our world. Nowadays we are facing two challenges: lessening climate risks by reducing emissions and assisting and enabling people to adapt to progressively worsening changes to the climate. These challenges call us to think of a multi-dimensional approach to protecting both individuals and our planet. [1]
• To help answer that question, I have spoken of an “ecological conversion” (cf. Laudato Si’, 216-221) which demands a change of mentality and a commitment to work for the resilience of people and the ecosystems in which they live. This conversion has three important spiritual elements that I would offer for your consideration. The first entails gratitude for God’s loving and generous gift of creation. The second calls for acknowledging that we are joined in a universal communion with one another and with the rest of the world’s creatures. The third involves addressing environmental problems not as isolated individuals but in solidarity as a community. [1]
• These crises, along with that of the earth’s climate, show that “everything is connected” (Fratelli Tutti, 34) and that promoting the long-term common good of our planet is essential to genuine ecological conversion. [1]
The church is not instructed to engage in any of these activities in any of God’s commandments. What a completely different message from the one that Christ gave to us: “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.” Mark 16:15, 16. After making these points, Pope Francis explains that this was the reason he recently approved the Vatican’s agreement to meet all the legal requirements of the 2015 Paris Agreement. The Pope continued:
• For the above-mentioned reasons, I have recently approved for the Holy See, in the name and on behalf of Vatican City State, to accede to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Paris Agreement, with the hope that “although the post-industrial period may well be remembered as one of the most irresponsible in history, nonetheless there is reason to hope that humanity at the dawn of the twenty-first century will be remembered for having generously shouldered its grave responsibilities” (Laudato Si’, 165). [1]
Is unity the basis of climate change? With whom are we going to have unity with, Roman Catholics, Protestants, and plants? The Pope’s universal communion is not focused on doctrinal issues, baptism, or trying to win over the entire world to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Proselytizing is a sin, according to Pope Francis, since no one is going to hell and we all go to heaven regardless of our religious beliefs.
What Pope Francis is instead doing is dictating a global political agenda on everything: economics, finance, climate, pandemics, political science, church relations, social science, health science, earth science, and food production. This is about indoctrinating the world with Rome’s “common good” philosophy. The emphasis is no longer about the gospel of Jesus Christ, identifying the mark of the beast, preaching the moral principles of God’s law, calling people to forsake their sins, or preparing people for Christ’s second coming. Remember, Pope Francis expressed the following in his climate change encyclical:
“To manage the global economy; to revive economies hit by the crisis; to avoid any deterioration of the present crisis and the greater imbalances that would result; to bring about integral and timely disarmament, food security and peace; to guarantee the protection of the environment and to regulate migration: for all this, there is urgent need of a true world political authority” (Laudato Si’ #175).
Rome wants to control and pull the strings in all aspects of our lives. Everyone is looking to the Pope to see what advice he has in their areas of expertise. This doesn’t make sense from a political standpoint, but when you look at the prophetic word, it makes perfect sense. The Papacy is offering solutions that they think will bring prosperity. Pope Francis is promising universal economic, political, and religious prosperity, which are nothing but deceptive enticements. The truth is that this beast power of Bible prophecy is leading the world to perdition.
“And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” Revelation 13:17.
Unfortunately, these prophetic events demonstrate that our civilization has not learned anything from history. We are being led towards the worst crisis our world has ever seen, and not to a time of great prosperity. The direction that all of these prophetic movements are pointing us toward must be presented to the people.
“We are to see in history the fulfillment of prophecy, to study the workings of Providence in the great reformatory movements, and to understand the progress of events in the marshalling of the nations for the final conflict of the great controversy” (Testimonies, Vol. 8, p. 307).
“The Protestant world will learn what the purposes of Rome really are, only when it is too late to escape the snare. She is silently growing into power. Her doctrines are exerting their influence in legislative halls, in the churches, and in the hearts of men. She is piling up her lofty and massive structures, in the secret recesses of which her former persecutions will be repeated. Stealthily and unsuspectedly she is strengthening her forces to further her own ends when the time shall come for her to strike. All that she desires is vantage-ground, and this is already being given her. We shall soon see and shall feel what the purpose of the Roman element is. Whoever shall believe and obey the Word of God will thereby incur reproach and persecution” (Great Controversy, p. 581).

Jon says
The Romish Church now presents a fair front to the world, covering with apologies her record of horrible cruelties. She has clothed herself in Christ-like garments; but she is unchanged. Every principle of popery that existed in past ages exists today. The doctrines devised in the darkest ages are still held. Let none deceive themselves. The popery that Protestants are now so ready to honor is the same that ruled the world in the days of the Reformation, when men of God stood up, at the peril of their lives, to expose her iniquity. She possesses the same pride and arrogant assumption that lorded it over kings and princes, and claimed the prerogatives of God. Her spirit is no less cruel and despotic now than when she crushed out human liberty, and slew the saints of the Most High. – GC88 570.3
Popery is just what prophecy declared that she would be, the apostasy of the latter times. [2 Thessalonians 2:3, 4.] It is a part of her policy to assume the character which will best accomplish her purpose; but beneath the variable appearance of the chameleon, she conceals the invariable venom of the serpent. “We are not bound to keep faith and promises to heretics,” she declares. Shall this power, whose record for a thousand years is written in the blood of the saints, be now acknowledged as a part of the church of Christ? – GC88 571.1
It is not without reason that the claim has been put forth in Protestant countries, that Catholicism differs less widely from Protestantism than in former times. There has been a change; but the change is not in the papacy. Catholicism indeed resembles much of the Protestantism that now exists, because Protestantism has so greatly degenerated since the days of the reformers. – GC88 571.2
A prayerful study of the Bible would show Protestants the real character of the papacy, and would cause them to abhor and to shun it; but many are so wise in their own conceit that they feel no need of humbly seeking God that they may be led into the truth. Although priding themselves on their enlightenment, they are ignorant both of the Scriptures and of the power of God. – GC88 572.2

Climate change is being used as an excuse to promote ecumenism and our leaders can’t seem to figure that out.

It is so hard to get people to understand the plans of the papacy, and what is going on behind the scenes! When you watch the news cast on television, or listen to the news on the radio, everyone thinks they have the answers to the problems of this world. If only this, or if only that would happen or be done. They miss the whole point.
They just don’t know who is actually pulling all the strings behind the curtain. People forget that Biden is a devout Catholic who has lost his mental capacity to think for himself. Almost two thirds of Congress are Catholics, and the majority of the Supreme Court are Catholics!!! The pope and all the Catholics in government are running this country, and the world!
The Bible says that by the time everyone finds out the truth, it will be too late! They will say to us, “Why didn’t you tell us”. Well, we can only say that we tried, but, you would not listen. I have lost dear friendships over the truths of the Bible that I have tried to share. I am so saddened that no one wants to listen anymore….
