“The conditions prevailing in society, and especially in the great cities of the nations, proclaim in thunder tones that the hour of God’s judgment is come and that the end of all things earthly is at hand. We are standing on the threshold of the crisis of the ages. In quick succession the judgments of God will follow one another—fire, and flood, and earthquake, with war and bloodshed. We are not to be surprised at this time by events both great and decisive; for the angel of mercy cannot remain much longer to shelter the impenitent” (Prophets and Kings, p. 278).

A catastrophe on a scale never imagined is developing in Pakistan right now. Tens of millions of people are without shelter or food after two months of severe rain destroyed the country. Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, describes the scenes as “floods from the sky”:
“Foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said this morning from his home in flood-ravaged province Sindh, south-eastern Pakistan: ‘Around me is just water, water and more water. There’s not much dry land to be found. ‘We’ve suffered a devastating monsoon [with] floods from the sky that have been going on since the end of June. ‘It is a catastrophe on a scale that I have never seen before’.” [1]
Entire towns and villages have vanished, and the death toll, which has now topped 1,000, is certain to grow. Food has also been a major issue, with supplies running out and people relying on the military and aid workers to feed them.
This is both a natural and a human disaster, since millions of people are stranded and cut off due to the destruction of roads, making food deliveries nearly impossible. Power outages have only worsened the situation and are unlikely to be resolved for some time.

Our world is in the process of collapsing. According to Bible prophecy, the earth will face unprecedented disasters. These things will only worsen as Christ’s second coming approaches. The disasters indicate that we are nearing the end and that the door to probation is closing. Souls are being swept into eternity. What are we doing to meet the spiritual needs of a judgment-bound world, as well as the temporal needs of these victims?
Devastating #Floods in #Pakistan have destroyed millions of homes, and taken the lives of 1000s. Please donate as much as you can and remember them in your prayers 🙏🏽 #PakistanFloods pic.twitter.com/7i3M7AOrM3

“The tempest is coming, and we must get ready for its fury by having repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord will arise to shake terribly the earth. We shall see troubles on all sides. Thousands of ships will be hurled into the depths of the sea. Navies will go down, and human lives will be sacrificed by millions. Fires will break out unexpectedly, and no human effort will be able to quench them. The palaces of earth will be swept away in the fury of the flames. Disasters by rail will become more and more frequent; confusion, collision, and death without a moment’s warning will occur on the great lines of travel. The end is near, probation is closing. Oh, let us seek God while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near! The prophet says: “Seek ye the Lord, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought His judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the Lord’s anger” (Messages to Young People, p. 89).
Our prayers go out to the families affected by devastating floods in Pakistan. pic.twitter.com/IjWOF9fNg3

Unfortunately, the world will misinterpret the signs of Christ’s return. Instead of realizing that these natural and man-made calamities are biblical indicators that Jesus is on his way, Satan is persuading people to disregard these biblical signs in favor of focusing on the need to impose a radical climate agenda that includes a Sunday law. Our world is undoubtedly heading towards difficult times in the days ahead.
