The new partnership: Loma Linda University Health with Motorsports Group KTM.
Loma Linda University Health, an organizational unit of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists [1], has just announced that they will be teaming up with the sports industry to sponsor motorcycle races across the United States. All of these motorcycle races take place on Saturday, and the majority of them are scheduled during the sacred hours of the Lord’s Sabbath. On November 4, 2022, the following news was published by Loma Linda University Health:
“Motorsports group KTM North America has named Loma Linda University Health as its official healthcare sponsor of the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team for 2023. The motocross team, headquartered in Murrieta, competes in the AMA Supercross, Pro Motocross and Super Motocross World Championships.” [2]
According to the press release from Loma Linda University Health, they have become the corporate sponsors for the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team for 2023. Furthermore, they mentioned that their new racing partners compete in the AMA Supercross, the Pro Motocross, and the Super Motocross World Championships. Tragically, what Loma Linda University Health fails to mention is that all the races for the AMA Supercross [3], the Pro Motocross [4], and the Super Motocross [5] are held on Saturday. They don’t race on any other day except Saturday. People will pay money on the Lord’s Day to attend these motorcycle racing venues all across the United States that are being sponsored by Loma Linda University Health.
Loma Linda University Health continues by stating that it supports and seeks to advance motorcycle racing as a growing sport:
“As a partner of Red Bull KTM’s Supercross and Motocross racing program in the U.S., Loma Linda University Health further endorses growing the sport of motorcycle racing and riding as an active lifestyle, promoting overall physical and mental health benefits. Much like healthcare initiatives, motorcycle racing is a family sport with a host of positive benefits, and Loma Linda University Health is committed to partnering with individuals and families on their journey to health.” [6]
Positive health benefits? The energy drink Red Bull, which contains a lot of caffeine and sugar, can cause “abnormal heart rhythm, heart attack, and death.” In addition, Red Bull has been linked to “obesity, dental problems, and type 2 diabetes.” [7] According to Loma Linda University Health, motorcycle racing is a family event, and you can purchase your tickets for the entire 2023 season, which is scheduled only on Saturdays. [8] Even though all the races begin at 6:30 p.m., during the summer months, the Sabbath hours don’t end until 8:00 p.m. Plus, there are many preliminary events that take place before the races even begin. It’s a shame there aren’t any races on Sunday. I guess they want to allow the public to have Sundays off as the day of rest.
Trevor Wright, the CEO of Loma Linda University Health Hospitals, said the following about their relationship with the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team:
“Our two organizations represent excellence in our respective industries and a shared passion for the sport of motocross.” [9]
Trevor Wright doesn’t sound like the leader of a major Seventh-day Adventist church organization. He sounds like an event promoter and advertising agent for motorcycle races that take place on the Sabbath.
First it was AdventHealth, a North American Division organization. Now it is Loma Linda University Health, a General Conference organization. Worldly, profit-making, Sabbath-breaking partnerships are sweeping through our institutions, as they are being run by woke modernists who have no interest in safeguarding the hours of the Sabbath. This is something the church cannot approve or support. We cannot continue to remain silent in the face of such blatant disobedience.
How can we become corporate sponsors for events that transgress God’s commandments? The seventh-day Sabbath is one of the main features of our faith. And instead of safeguarding this truth, we are using our name, influence, and money to promote the breaking of the sacred hours of the Sabbath.
Many of our institutions have turned into havens for breaking God’s law rather than serving as a defense against society’s deteriorating morals. This goes against everything we stand for. Sabbath-breaking motorcycle races have nothing to do with our mission and message, or the Three Angels’ Message. Sabbath-breaking sponsorships are all about marketing and building positive relationships with the sporting industries and their customers in order to increase our business (money).
The decay of our hospitals would not be complete without the neutrality of our leaders. Their silence ensures that the work of eradicating the old landmarks will continue unabated. It is past time for God’s people to stand up and recover the faith that is being destroyed by modern liberals who have ascended to positions of trust and care nothing for the distinctive Seventh-day Adventist faith. God has instructed us on what we should and should not do on His Sabbath day. We’re supposed to be a special people with a distinct message that is supposed to encourage people to keep God’s commandments and His Sabbath day, not break them:
“I pray that my brethren may realize that the third angel’s message means much to us, and that the observance of the true Sabbath is to be the sign that distinguishes those who serve God from those who serve Him not. Let those who have become sleepy and indifferent awake. We are called to be holy, and we should carefully avoid giving the impression that it is of little consequence whether or not we retain the peculiar features of our faith” (Counsels on Health, p. 238).

SIX HUGE PROBLEMS:
1. Red Bull is a caffeine drink, very damaging to health and the health message. (But the corporate church doesn’t really have a health message anymore and they abandon all true health messengers.)
2. Motocross is a dangerous sport. We don’t need to encourage or spend our time in unnecessary danger. That is stupid Christianity. There are plenty of dangerous and sacred things to spend our time in.
3. It is a sport and we have Spirit of Prophecy council consistently against activities including sports that are wastes of time. Imagine if Paul spent his time running in Greek races vs being persecuted. What a wasted life he would have had. God would have raised up another leader!
4. It breaks the Sabbath thoroughly.
5. It links God’s people with worldlings. God’s people are to stand peculiar, unique and superior.
6. The GC and NAD all seem to operate in glassy-eyed-worldly-sentimentalism land and not call sin by its right name.
The windstorm is here true church family. If the GC can’t see this we should elect new leaders, this time not in blocks of names.
We must return to all fundamental principles that are based up unquestionable authority vs giving authority to apostate leaders and their man-made whimsical creeds.
Seventh-day Adventists had better wake up to the reality that Jesus is soon to come. The Church though failing in many ways is still the apple of God’s eye. It is high time for the faithful members to speak out against all the atrocities taking place within our Denomination. If it were not so serious it would almost be laughable to hear Loma Linda claim this sponsorship as promoting health! It would be far more beneficial to use the money spent on this endeavor to get out the printed word and promote real health programs along with true evangelism. No doubt that we are running out of time!

By planning to have secular activities on YAHUAH’S and YAHUSHA’S saturday sabbath,Loma Linda has committed a terrible iniquity! How dare an Adventist Saturday Sabbath keeping institution decide to join hands with worldly organizations keen to profaning the holy saturday sabbath of OUR FATHER WHO ARE IN HEAVEN and HIS DEAR BELOVED SON?
The top management of the University need to REPENT of this iniquity the soonest possible before saturday lest YAHUAH in YAHUSHA’S name pour out his wrath upon them!
Will they dig up Ellen white out of her grave and tie her body on the back of a motorcycle with bungee cords?
Would they put her body on to the hottest motorcycle that’s going to win the race On Sabbath afternoon?
Will they promote good health by exercise and fresh air as the great crowd is invited to go out and pick up the parts of her body that fell off onto the racetrack?
Will they tell the crowds that they’re all going to hell and they might as well ride into the fire of hell on a motorcycle?
Would be terrific if someone in the General Conference would rebuke these sorts of behaviours publically or published,
as others have mentioned their silence = their approval.
What is SPD doing if this information is true? This is the church of God. This church has Thus Says the Lord as rule of faith and not human wisdom or philosophies that are foolish in nature. The church of God will never be downtrodden by our acts, the Lord will find ways to make it triumphant at the end. However, to those who trample upon God’s principle and abuse power or mislead, the axe is laid at the root. That which doesn’t bear fruit will be cut down by the Master Commander himself. Let us lead God’s church with fear and trembling for we serve the God, the Maker of Heaven and the earth. He’s LORD of hosts.

Shades of AdventHealth. When I brought the antics of AH to the attention of my (then) church pastor, I was told that AH is not really a part of the SDA. I wonder if they would say the same thing about Loma Linda UH? Or would there be some other excuse? The evil creeps in, and many don’t notice or care. Some seem to make their loyalty to the SDA, inc. more important than their loyalty to God. May He have mercy on them and wake them up.

Loma Linda ‘Health’ is just following the current ‘healthcare’ investment scheme……create/contribute to a health problem, then offer solutions for treatment.
