In addition to the many other business management services they provide, Deputy has just launched “International Shift Worker Sunday,” an annual celebration that takes place on the last Sunday in November. According to Deputy, this annual Sunday rest day is designed to raise awareness in the workplace and accomplish the following goals:
• “The company is supporting the launch of a new international holiday set to celebrate shift workers. Shift Worker Sunday, celebrated annually on the last Sunday of November, is the perfect time to acknowledge the great work shift workers do and their impact on our daily lives.” [2]

• “The truth is, we don’t thank them enough. That’s why Deputy has launched Shift Worker Sunday – a day for all of us to show our appreciation by giving back to the hourly workers who make a difference in communities worldwide.” [2]
• “Deputy encourages people to show appreciation by making a small gesture on Sunday.” [2]
On November 25, 2022, Deputy promoted their International Shift Worker Sunday in a different press release that was published and distributed globally:
• “What is International Shift Worker Sunday? In many countries, the working week starts on a Monday and ends on a Friday. However, for shift workers in industries like healthcare, manufacturing, and transportation, the work week often starts on a Sunday and ends on a Saturday. To acknowledge the unique challenges that shift workers face, International Shift Worker Sunday was created. On this day, shift workers are encouraged to take some time for themselves to relax and recharge. It’s a day to enjoy leisure activities, connect with family and friends, and get enough rest. If you’re a shift worker, make sure to take some time for yourself on this day. And if you know someone who works shifts, be sure to show them your support! [3]

This is a call to shift workers, who are required to be on call every day of the week for work. This is a call to all corporations and businesses to heed the message. The “International Shift Worker Sunday” is a call to recognize the need for workers to have time off for rest, family, and friends. In other words, this is a public call to increase awareness of Sunday rest.
This is not a coincidence. The labor industry, along with labor unions, the churches, and the news media, are aligning themselves in order to achieve one ultimate objective. They are working to obtain the same outcome. They are campaigning to make Sunday popular again. According to God’s prophetic word, there will be a “popular demand” for Sunday observance:
“Rulers and legislators, in order to secure public favor, will yield to the popular demand for a law enforcing Sunday observance” (Great Controversy, p. 592).
What this international workforce technology company is doing, whether purposefully or unknowingly, is joining the chorus of those calling for Sunday to become the universal day of rest for all people. Truly, the present conditions are becoming more favorable for the future prospect of a Sunday law. We pray that God will give us a sense of urgency so that we can spread His final message of warning to the world, and may we all have the spiritual preparation needed for the coming crisis.

These people are following Pope Francis’ call to rest on Sunday as outlined in Laudato Si’ #237. This is no coincidence.
“Now is the time to prepare. The seal of God will never be placed upon the forehead of an impure man or woman. It will never be placed upon the forehead of the ambitious, world-loving man or woman. It will never be placed upon the forehead of men or women of false tongues or deceitful hearts. All who receive the seal must be without spot before God—candidates for heaven.” 5T 216.2
“As God’s people approach the final crisis, they must with increasing power proclaim the message He has given them. The warning must be given to the churches. God’s requirements must be laid before those who are transgressing His law. They must be made to understand that this is a life and death question.
