President Ted Wilson led the Global Ramadan Prayer Day 2023, an event hosted by the Seventh-day Adventist Church’s Global Center for Adventist-Muslim Relations. [1] Wilson was the keynote speaker for the global day of prayer for Ramadan, which is considered a sacred month for Muslims all over the world. Muslims honor this Islamic holy month by praying, fasting, and showing greater devotion to Allah. During Ramadan, there is a special emphasis placed on reading the Quran, which Muslims consider to have divine origins. Tragically, there is also an increase in terrorist attacks during Ramadan. [2] Christians are often the target of these attacks.
Muslims always face Mecca when they pray, whether it’s during Ramadan or at any other time. The central part of Muslim worship is to pray while facing the Kaaba, a cube-shaped building in Mecca that serves as the religion’s holiest site. According to Islamic tradition, Abraham and his son Ishmael built the Kaaba as a house of worship for Allah. However, it is known that, before the arrival of Islam, the Kaaba was a shrine that housed a number of pagan deities, including the Black Stone, which was considered a main god by pre-Islamic Arab pagans. When Muhammad and his followers conquered Mecca in 630 AD, they reportedly cleansed the Kaaba of idols but kept the Black Stone, which is venerated by Muslims today. [3]
Ramadan is a deeply meaningful and important religious observance for Muslims, not for Christians. Ted Wilson, the leader of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, is seen here urging us to respect and understand Islam’s religious practices. This is what ecumenical worship and interfaith dialogue encourage us to do. If we have been engaging in interfaith harmony with Rome for years, why not participate in and show our support for Islam by sponsoring Ramadan prayers?
This is interfaith bridge-building in action. This is designed to help us better understand and appreciate the faiths of others and form relationships with them. The goal is to create a greater sense of unity and cooperation. Ted Wilson is acting in the same manner as Pope Francis. Pope Francis also believes in commemorating Ramadan to show solidarity with Muslims. On March 24, 2023, the Vatican’s Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue stated the following regarding Ramadan:
“Dear Muslim brothers and sisters, The month of Ramadan is important for you, but also for your friends, neighbours and fellow believers of other religions, in particular Christians. Existing friendships are reinforced and others are built, paving the way for more peaceful, harmonious and joyful coexistence. This corresponds to the divine will for our communities, and indeed for all the members and communities of the one human family.” [4]
This Vatican-led agency is responsible for delivering the Pope’s message. Rome is working overtime to unite all of the religious faiths of the world into one family. Muslims, pagans, spiritualists, Mother Earth worshippers, Protestants, Catholics, indigenous faiths, and eastern religions are all part of Rome’s one-world brotherhood. Is our loyalty now to the Pope of Rome and to his falsehoods and delusions? Is it the mission of the General Conference to set aside the final warning message and join hands with all the religions of the world to promote the Vatican’s message? That is exactly what is happening. Pope Francis is healing the deadly wound (Revelation 13:3), and this involves eliminating truth that exposes Rome’s agenda.
When Seventh-day Adventists start obeying papal encyclicals like Fratelli Tutti while neglecting the Second Angels’ Message (Revelation 14:8) and the Loud Cry Message (Revelation 18:1-5), this is a sign that we have crossed a new historic threshold. We have been successful in taking Adventism to new levels that no previous generation has reached before. This is not Adventism; it is Romanism under the guise of Adventism.
Fallen, erring mortal men are not above the word of God. Or do we think that our leaders know more than the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord? Our loyalty is not to Rome, but to the word of God. Sadly, the apostasy in the church will only get worse and will continue until the Lord descends from heaven:
“One thing it is certain, is soon to be realized—the great apostasy, which is developing and increasing and waxing stronger and will continue to do so until the Lord shall descend from heaven with a shout … We may be strengthened and confirmed in the past experience that holds us to the essential points of truth which have made us what we are—Seventh-day Adventists” (Letter 326, December 4, 1905).

“the great apostasy” you say that is withing the church, how do we know that refers to the SDA church and not the world, popery or the protestant churches?
What Ellen White has written is always about Adventism and how it is affected by the apostasy of the pagan world and Romanism. And yes, the Protestants too. HER SUBJECT IS ADVENTISM AS THE MESSENGER TO THE REMNANT. That is how we know.

I’m sorry, but I see this as pure apostasy!!! What is Ted Wilson trying to prove? I am so thankful that we are judged personally and not as a collective group. I just can not approve of such actions. He has gone way beyond his appointed boundaries as president of the General Conference.

Praying for Muslims is not the same as with them in their cause.
I believe the answer to why these relations are possible today is fairly obvious.
It is for the very same reason that Islam and ALL other false religions have in common today, none of them believe that Jesus is the literal and only begotten Son of God.
The Quran rejects Jesus as the literal Son of God:
Sura 3, which calls Jesus a ‘word’, asserts that he is like Ādam (Sura 3:59), i.e. created by Allah, and any who dispute this are to be deliberately cursed by believers during times of prayer (Sura 3:62).
“It is not for Allāh to beget offspring. Glory to Him! When He decrees something, He simply says, ‘Be!’ and it is.”

The enemy of souls has sought to bring in the supposition that a great reformation was to take place among Seventh-day Adventists, and that this reformation would consist in giving up the doctrines which stand as the pillars of our faith, and engaging in a process of reorganization. Were this reformation to take place, what would result? The principles of truth that God in His wisdom has given to the remnant church, would be discarded. Our religion would be changed. The fundamental principles that have sustained the work for the last fifty years would be accounted as error. A new organization would be established. Books of a new order would be written. A system of intellectual philosophy would be introduced. The founders of this system would go into the cities, and do a wonderful work. The Sabbath of course, would be lightly regarded, as also the God who created it. Nothing would be allowed to stand in the way of the new movement. The leaders would teach that virtue is better than vice, but God being removed, they would place their dependence on human power, which, without God, is worthless. Their foundation would be built on the sand, and storm and tempest would sweep away the structure. 1SM 204.2
Our pioneers had faith in, and believed Jesus to be the literal and only begotten Son of God (not a metaphorical son like that of Barabbas). This is the foundation of which our current church militant has abandoned.
We have nothing to fear for the future, except as we shall forget the way the Lord has led us, and His teaching in our past history…

Wilson pray in the name of Jesus and for the conversion of Muslims to Christianity? I think not! So who is converting who here? All he did was play cards with the
devil- and lost! How do Muslims view Seventh-day Adventists now? All of this drama comes as no surprise to me. Why? Because Ted Wilson’s father (Neal) was also
an SDA Church GC President and church politician. He had Desmond Ford (SDA Professor & Pastor) fired in 1980 for proving the investigative judgment wrong. He
also had SDA Pastor Walter Rea fired for proving Ellen White to be a plagiarist. Neither the Wilson father nor son did anything to stop abortions for profit in Adventist hospitals. Need I say more? Like Rome, the SDA Church is unrepentant and will not change for the better. So why be a member and support them? SDA leaders claim “the ship will sail to the heavenly harbor” when it is sinking like the Titanic. And who wants to go down with it? Wise people get off, right? Do it now.
