Open the Books published an article on May 10, 2023, about how the top 20 “non-profit” hospital systems in the United States made enormous profits during the Covid pandemic. As expected, AdventHealth was mentioned in this report. Keep in mind that even though Loma Linda University Health, Adventist Health, Kettering Health Network, Adventist HealthCare, and other church-owned healthcare systems were not included in this article, they also profited greatly for supporting the CDC’s vaccination program during the pandemic. Open the Books highlighted the following points in their exposé:
- “OpenTheBooks.com auditors investigated America’s healthcare system and found so-called ‘non-profit’ hospitals and their CEOs are getting richer while the American people are getting sicker and poorer.”
- “The 20 largest non-profit hospitals in the country continued making massive profits while their cumulative net assets soared.”
- “Those hospital systems received congressional Covid bailouts.”
- “Meanwhile, hospital executives racked up Wall Street-sized compensation packages.”
- “Furthermore, American life expectancy during this period sharply declined.”
- “Are these ‘non-profit’ hospitals operating in the public interest or for their private interest?”
- Are these non-profit hospitals gaming the system as public healthcare charities operating under IRS section 501(c)3 of the tax code?
- “America’s non-profit hospitals must justify their pandemic profiteering.” [1]
CARES Act and ARPA provided big bailouts for wealthy non-profit hospitals during the Covid-pandemic.
According to AdventHealth’s financial disclosure, it saw its combined net assets soar to 248.7% during the Covid pandemic. Prior to Covid-19, in 2018, AdventHealth had assets worth a total of $4.1 billion. Once the pandemic began, it jumped to $14.3 billion, or 248.7%. In addition to this record profit, AdventHealth also received $747 million in Covid tax relief, despite the fact that during the pandemic, one-third of small businesses permanently closed their doors. Many have wondered why the Seventh-day Adventist Church sided with Covid authoritarianism during the vaccine mandates when people were being denied the right to worship, work, travel, or participate in community life. During the pandemic, oppressive state-sponsored and church-supported health mandates were used to take away freedoms and coerce the conscience through targeted discrimination. Our fellow unvaccinated believers were harassed and persecuted, and their fortunes and freedoms were jeopardized.
Being forced to stay inside our homes, wearing masks everywhere, closing and destroying businesses, banning family visits, closing parks and beaches, rejecting natural immunity, shutting places of worship, and arresting and fining those who dared not follow the draconian measures—it was a nightmare.
Both the world and the church demonized anyone who even dared to suggest that medicine was becoming politicized for money and power. However, numerous reports today demonstrate that masks were ineffective, vaccines were unable to stop infections or transmissions, and oppressive health regulations caused a great deal of harm to people. According to one medical professional quoted in Newsweek, “It’s Time for the Scientific Community to Admit We Were Wrong About COVID and It Cost Lives.” [3]
However, while some people lost their lives, jobs, and fortunes, others profited immensely from the pain and suffering of others. A globalist at the World Economic Forum stated that “COVID has been one of the most profitable products ever.” [4] Some people profited from the pandemic, while the vast majority of people suffered unnecessarily. Fear and hysteria generated billions of dollars for pharmaceutical companies and hospital systems. While other businesses were forced to close, “non-profit” healthcare systems raked in billions.
The lockdowns did not protect us; instead, they made a lot of individuals extremely wealthy. The globalist ruling class did not go into lockdown. Remember, they were exempt from all rules. They continued traveling the globe and making billions.
In light of this, why did the Seventh-day Adventist Church publicly state that it was in favor of “government health mandates”? Why did the General Conference dictate that protests against mandatory vaccines should not invoke claims of “religious liberty”? [5] A well-known adage in business states that “profitability covers a multitude of iniquities.” [6] This suggests that whenever something is financially successful, people may be inclined to overlook any negative shortcoming in favor of monetary gain.
All Seventh-day Adventist believers and those who value freedom should be extremely concerned about the stance that our church adopted during this pandemic. No, our leaders weren’t neutral. In fact, they committed a greater offense. They sided with the violators of freedom and were handsomely compensated with record profits. This is very troubling, especially in light of the fact that they supported those who made every effort to prevent working Americans from feeding their families unless they bowed down to the vaccine tyranny.
“For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father’s house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” Esther 4:14.
In His mercy, God did bring relief and, at least temporarily, put an end to the Covid crisis. However, deliverance did not occur as a result of anything the church or our Religious Liberty Department did. It was the Trump-appointed Supreme Court Justices at our nation’s highest court that shut down Joe Biden’s oppressive vaccine mandate. We praise the Lord for this.

I personally have reasons to believe that the Corporate SDA GC church is not God’s church any more. Some will say that Sister White said the church is going through, and it will. The church in the below quote is the one going through.

This issue is far from being resolved. When the next crisis hits, we will know exactly which side people are going to take based on the COVID debacle.
The treatment of Jonathan Zirkle and the 25,000 people who had the opportunity to sign the petition (and I believe there would have been way more signatures if the word had gotten out about the petition,) he presented to the GC and was shut down by Ted Wilson makes everyone with an inquiring mind realize that something big was motivating them… now we know how big that ‘something’ was!!! only $747 million! GC 2022 June 6th confirmed that for many. It did for me. The last HS influenced GC was GC 2015 with being the last one.
SOP was fulfilled that the lay peoples time is here to finish the work .Corporate is not capable of it with the spirit that controls them and has for some time now with the abominations in the church not being challenged.
