Loma Linda University Health (LLU) recently published a news release stating that its children’s hospital staff is promoting “Star Wars characters” such as “Darth Vader” and the “Stormtroopers” to honor their patients’ progress toward healing and recovery. LLU’s care team brought in Darth Vader and organized a “victory walk” to “congratulate” its patients. [1] At Adventhealth, Darth Vader is seen welcoming new born babies in celebration of “Star Wars Day.” [2]
Darth Vader, also known as Lord Vader and Dark Lord, is a Star Wars character that is without a doubt one of the most well-known movie villains of all time. With his black cape and mechanical breathing, Darth Vader represents the dark side, or the forces of evil. In one of his famous monologues, he says to his foes, “Give yourself to the dark side.” This goes against the clear teachings of Scripture:
“God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” 1 John 1:5-7.
The Star Wars movie series portrays Darth Vader as a murderous, evil, and dictatorial ruler. He represents the bad guys. He fell from grace, and in the ongoing struggle between right and wrong, light and darkness, he represents the cruel and wicked. When did promoting sin and degeneracy become popular in Adventism? Why do we elevate evil influences to a position of respect?
The whole idea of our institutions glamorizing the “dark side” and Darth Vader, who personifies the evil forces in the cosmos, is in conflict with what the Bible teaches. The message contained in Star Wars is that there is a battle between good and evil, and Darth Vader represents the dark side. This theme is taken from the Bible, which portrays Lucifer as Satan, who rebelled against God and was cast out of heaven. The devil is depicted as the chief adversary of God who is waging a war against Him by tempting people to turn away from the path of righteousness and into the dark side of sin.
Unfortunately, Loma Linda University Health and AdventHealth have taken on a more inclusive, entertainment-marketing approach and are incorporating these elements of evil into their mission. In such cases, they are promoting principles that are diametrically opposed to the gospel of Jesus Christ. The early church didn’t incorporate worldly entertainment that glorified sin and evil into their evangelistic work.
In celebration of “Star Wars Day,” Darth Vader welcomes new born babies at AdventHealth [2] “Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me.” Matthew 19:14.
God rejects this type of worldly entertainment and partnerships:
“Let not your efforts be to follow the world’s way but to follow God’s way … Those who in their work for God depend on worldly plans for gaining success will make a failure. The Lord calls for a change in your manner of labor” (Evangelism, p. 148).
“Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.” James 4:4.

I Agree that Seventh Day Adventists Should not be Dressing up as the World Portrays God and His Son Jesus Christ. Had this Article been more thoroughly Researched Luke Skywalker [ Satan ] would have been Defeated. Instead Pr Roman you accept Conventional wisdom. Luke Skywalker is Satan. He Wants to Portray God as a most Evil Villain and Star Wars has been one of His Major Tools. Luke Skywalker and the Fallen Angels are Portrayed as the Light side of Witchcraft and The Father and the Son [ As the Evil Emperor and Darth Vader ] are Dark Side.
Again the Source of all this Comes from the Belly of the Beast at the Bottomless pit who calls all Evil Good and all Good Evil.
Seventh Day Adventist’s who are Portraying to the Public in such Hideous pagan costumes that God and his Son are the Origins of Evil in the Universe will have to Answer to God for the Blasphemy above.

Hospitals are a cash cow, especially during Covid. No one is going to interfere with the goose that is laying the golden eggs.
The SDA General Conference is just adopting their mascots and new dress reform of the Star Wars characters, similar to the Pharisees in Jesus’ day.
