After years of ecumenical dialogue with Rome, interfaith cooperation, and mutual trust, Seventh-day Adventists in Brazil are now working in partnership with Roman Catholics to give “solidarity baths” and vaccinations to the homeless. These “solidarity baths” are designed to bring the participating church into unity as well as the homeless community. Solidarity with Rome will lead to reconciliation and bring an end to religious divisions. This is Vatican II, and it’s bringing the separated brethren back together.
UNICO Portal is a journalistic publication located in the city of Manaus, Brazil. On June 15, 2023, UNICO Portal reported the following regarding the partnership between Seventh-day Adventists and Roman Catholics:
• “The Seventh-day Adventist Church, in partnership with the Catholic Church and the Manaus City Hall, is organizing another edition of the ‘Solidarity Bath‘ for homeless people in Manaus, who circulate through Praça da Matriz, next Saturday, at 5 p.m.” [1]
• “More than 200 volunteers will organize – from bath cabins and showers installed in Praça da Matriz – baths and other hygienic procedures for 150 people on the streets.” [1]
• “They will have clothes to change, hygiene kits, consultation, exams and vaccination. In addition to haircut, nail cut, and for women, eyebrows. A social action will deliver 500 meals at the end. What? Solidarity bath. Where? Matriz Square. When? 6/17/2023 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.” [1]
There is absolutely nothing wrong with feeding the homeless and providing for the needy, but to exploit this good work and use it as a ruse to inject the wine of Babylon by bringing all the churches together into one single partnership is actually harmful to the Seventh-day Adventist faith. Our banner is the commandments of God, not the mystery of iniquity. Our message is contained in the Three Angels’ Messages, not in Pope Francis’ Fratelli Tutti.
There is a voice today that exhorts all people to come together in unity and solidarity. This is the voice of Pope Francis. These inter-church partnership between Adventists and Catholics is an example of Fratelli Tutti in action. The universal brotherhood that Pope Francis is creating is leading the world to participate in these types of bridge-building exercises.
Various churches, including ours, are declaring their allegiance to Rome’s ecumenical movement, one by one. What about our loyalty to God? What about our commitment to God’s word as well as the Three Angels’ Messages? What about our mission to defend the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus in the world? We are certainly in a terrifying situation. Our people are being led down the path to desolation. Notice what inspiration says will happen if we continue down the road to perdition:
“The Protestant world will learn what the purposes of Rome really are, only when it is too late to escape the snare. She is silently growing into power. Her doctrines are exerting their influence in legislative halls, in the churches, and in the hearts of men. She is piling up her lofty and massive structures in the secret recesses of which her former persecutions will be repeated. Stealthily and unsuspectedly she is strengthening her forces to further her own ends when the time shall come for her to strike. All that she desires is vantage ground.” (Great Controversy, p. 581).
Our God has entrusted us with the mission of announcing to the world the everlasting gospel of Revelation 14:6–12. We must evangelize and stand firm in the preaching of this message. This is what society needs to hear right now. The Second Angel’s Message and the Loud Cry Message clearly call us to “come out” of Babylon. Instead, we build solidarity with them while denying our true foundation. When we reject the foundation of what makes us a people, we are left without faith and without purpose. We are helpless against the deadly temptations of Satan. We end up drifting towards Rome and relativism.
Sadly, many would rather give a non-threatening, non-controversial message that doesn’t address the great issues found in the Three Angels’ Messages. Unfortunately, we have not cast off the Laodicean condition that is paralyzing our true mission and message. But, thank God, not everyone will join these ecumenical partnerships. Some will fulfill the gospel commission and be used to finish the work. Truth will ultimately triumph, and we praise God that John the Revelator saw the victorious saints on the sea of glass in heaven (Revelation 15:2).

This is the falling away and the shaking happening at once. The ecumenical movement that is consuming God’s remnant church like a virus. But thank God for the Crimson flood that Jesus has covered us with that will share present truth in the three angel’s message. Pray for us and those who are repairers of the breach. Blessings.

These alliances will end in disaster, as was the case with ancient Israel.
