On August 22, 2023, we reported that Jared Hall, the self-proclaimed magician, was scheduled to perform at the Florida Conference 2023 High School Bible Retreat scheduled for October 5-8 at Camp Kulaqua. [1] The very next day, August 23, 2023, the Florida Conference Youth & Young Adult Ministries published the new line-up of special guests, and Jared Hall was replaced with someone else. [2]
On August 25, 2023, Baluarte reported the following:
“According to the Florida Conference, the decision (to cancel) was considered because Jared Hall was becoming the ‘center of attention’ of the camp and not because it is a complete attack on Biblical principles. ‘The invitation was becoming a distraction. And this weekend is much bigger than one person. But, in reality, Jared has a powerful ministry that no one understands if they don’t see it personally,’ the Florida Conference stated.” [3]
The truth is that Jared Hall was canceled because his magic shows are an abomination in the eyes of God and because of the protests from faithful church members. Unfortunately, the Florida Conference won’t publicly acknowledge that inviting this magician was a catastrophic mistake. Nevertheless, we praise the Lord for everyone who spoke up and let the church know about their concerns. It’s a good thing, my brothers and sisters, that Jared Hall has been cancelled.
“Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me. When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.” Ezekiel 3:17-19.
“The church as a whole is in a degree responsible for the wrongs of its individual members because they countenance the evil in not lifting up their voice against it” (Testimonies, Vol. 4, p. 490).

Praise the Lord for one cancellation but it doesn’t mean the youth will receive the true Seventh-Day Adventist message still. Look at the lineup of “present truth” speakers. Oh that the world would take our writings and compare us to the writings to see if we keep the commandments of God and have the faith of Jesus. We would recognize that we do not and we must repent and allow a reformation back to primitive godliness.
Still the spiritualists among the remnant should not be downcast I wouldn’t be surprised if Gesu Alex Bryant will have him do a presentation at the Crystal Palace NAD headquarters in Maryland.
Sad to say that they cancelled because the ‘invitation’ was becoming a ‘distraction.’ Have they not read Isaiah 33:15 and Psalms 101:3-4, 7?
Pharaoh called for the wise men and the sorcerers which included the magicians who used enchantments. Exodus 7:11. This is what Florida Conference called for.
Magic is a form of deceit. Period! And we are to have NOTHING TO DO WITH IT. Old Testament and New Testament believers were to not only have nothing to do with them but to also remove them from society. But now it is openly embraced and spoken well of. Deuteronomy 18:10-12
When the church uses worldly music, worldly dress, and worldly entertainment then they might as well not identify as a church but as a place of the world. Be honest in all things… provide things honest in the sight of men.
That which God calls an abomination should not be allowed in any church related event. Magic is a form of sorcery which God calls an abomination.
Everyone needs to read Revelation 18:23. The Great Whore uses magic even now with her shrines and bleeding madonnas etc.
Do not think that God will do neither good or evil … Zephaniah 1:12. He sees it for what it truly is: wickedness.
We are to call people out of her yet how can we when we partake of her methods and drink from her broken cisterns? Cry aloud and spare not!!! Isaiah 58:1
