On May 30, 2024, Donald Trump became the first former US president to be found guilty of felony crimes in New York by a Democratic Judge, a majority-led Democratic Jury, and a Democratic Prosecutor. Republicans are now advocating for the legal prosecution of Democrats in Republican states and in courts where the majority of the population is Republican. We are beginning to witness the kind of civil unrest and political corruption that we were warned about in God’s word.

“Courts of justice are corrupt. Rulers are actuated by desire for gain, and love of sensual pleasure. Intemperance has beclouded the faculties of many, so that Satan has almost complete control of them. Jurists are perverted, bribed, deluded. Drunkenness and revelry, passion, envy, dishonesty of every sort, are represented among those who administer the laws” (Great Controversy, p. 586).

“Show me the man, and I’ll show you the crime” is a phrase attributed to Lavrentiy Beria, the head of the Soviet secret police under Joseph Stalin, reflecting the abusive practices of authoritarian regimes where the legal system is weaponized against perceived enemies. This idea, known as lawfare, encapsulates the practice of selective prosecution, or the misuse of legal authority to target individuals. It suggests that if a person is chosen for scrutiny, authorities can always find some law or regulation they have violated, thereby manufacturing a basis for prosecution.
If you’re a Republican running for office, you can just go ahead and throw away all of your elegant little policy proposals for this or that corporate exclusion or tax subsidy. Give me a list of which Democrat officials you’re going to put in prison, or get lost.
There’s only…

Lawfare is particularly dangerous and unconstitutional because it implies that laws can be enforced arbitrarily and selectively, undermining the principle of justice, which should apply equally to all. When legal systems are used in this manner, it poses a significant threat to civil liberties and the rule of law, leading to the erosion of our civil and religious freedoms.
I don’t care if they jaywalked 10 years ago–arrest DEMOCRATS!

For example, Hilary Clinton, Joe Biden, and Donald Trump were all caught with classified documents. But only Trump was indicted. Either it’s a crime for all of them or none of them. All of the arguments about the quantity of documents or obstruction are distractions to justify a double standard.

“The unbelieving world will soon have something to think of besides their dress and appearance; and as their minds are torn from these things by distress and perplexity, they will have nothing to turn to.” (Testimonies, Vol. 1, p. 268).
I don’t want to hear elected Republicans complaining. I don’t need to see their tweets and statements condemning the verdict. The only thing I want to hear from these people is which Democrats they will have arrested. Don’t tell us that you’re sad about the verdict. We don’t give…

People do not understand human nature or the word of God. The biblical doctrine of sin and the increasing depravity of human nature reveal that our world will only get worse, not better:
“But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.” 2 Timothy 3:13.
The Bible does not teach us that a perfect utopian society will be formed in this world of sin. Instead, evil will abound:
“And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.” 1 John 5:19.
Anarchy prevails:
“And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.” Matthew 24:12.
Distress of nations will be seen:
“And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring.” Luke 21:25.
The perils of the last days are upon us:
“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent (no self-control), fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God.” 2 Timothy 3:1-4.
God’s word makes it abundantly clear that society has descended into lawlessness, from the top to the bottom. The episodes of rage and frustration have steadily been increasing across the nation, and the acts of injustice, anarchy and violence are only going to get worse. The number of crimes, riots, looting, and shootings, unfortunately, will only increase. Bible prophecy has been warning that these things are coming for a long time, and now they are starting to unfold before our very eyes:
“Once more the inhabitants of the earth were presented before me; and again everything was in the utmost confusion. Strife, war, and bloodshed, with famine and pestilence, raged everywhere. Other nations were engaged in this war and confusion. War caused famine. Want and bloodshed caused pestilence. And then men’s hearts failed them for fear, ‘and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth’.” (Testimonies, Vol. 1, p. 268).
“The time of trouble has already begun. We hear continually of riots and accidents, of murders and robberies. Human life is no longer safe unless under the protection of God.” (Manuscript Release, Vol. 21, p. 101).
So, do we have any hope? There is, indeed, but God requires effort on our part:
“A storm is coming, relentless in its fury. Are we prepared to meet it? We need not say: The perils of the last days are soon to come upon us. Already they have come. We need now the sword of the Lord to cut to the very soul and marrow of fleshly lusts, appetites, and passions … Now is the time to put forth earnest effort to overcome the natural tendencies of the carnal heart. Our efforts, our self-denial, our perseverance, must be proportionate to the infinite value of the object of which we are in pursuit. Only by overcoming as Christ overcame shall we win the crown of life” (Testimonies, Vol. 8, p. 315).
Sam says
The legal system is corrupt, and to imply that every action is without any merit shows a bias. This modern day Babylon is corrupted on both or all sides of equation and God’s Remnant are to disassociate or come out of the system or they will ultimately share in her plagues.
