I appreciate Dr. Vine’s well researched, thorough and straightforward approach. I also believe that waiting for the dust to settle, then sweeping it under the rug when no one is looking in order to avoid further dust storms – is the right approach. So many church members, myself included, were personally affected by the “affirmation statement” in ways that go beyond being forced to take the vax to save a career. When the storm and all the noise settled down we began to pick up the pieces. Someone I love dearly will most likely never return to church let alone openly admit he is an SDA.
This “remnant church” we speak so often about, yes, it will live on and be present when Jesus come again. But it will look much different. Our administrative institutions and structures – it’s quite likely they will have dissipated or lost their efficacy due to the federal government, economic and societal pressures. Our brick and mortar churches with stain glass windows and majestic sounding organs – most will be boarded up or being used for Sunday services. Faithful Sabbath keeping Christians from all walks of life will meet quietly in undisclosed locations around the world, but not in churches.
Yes, there will be a remnant church that stands until the end. And while our church is imperfect in it’s administration at multiple levels, we are not
To turn our backs from prayerful, faithful support of the wider mission of our denomination – the spreading of the 3 Angels Message!
I once had a dear friend tell me I needed to get over a real frustration. I knew what was happening wasn’t right but there was nothing I could do about it except pray. And to be told that I “just needed to get over it” didn’t help. I remember responding with, “ I know I can’t do anything about it, but I don’t have to like it!” I feel like that a lot lately. There is a lot of things happening in the world that I don’t like, including within our own ranks. But giving up on the church at large (and little) is not the answer.
podria explicar hno :El adventismo comenzó como un movimiento y terminará como un movimiento. antemano gracias saludos par los hnos que producen estos temas y debemos compartir en cada iglesia que estamos en el mundo yo lo hago convertiendo en diapositas .
The alpha was 1903 the omega Dallas 1980.
You’re correct there will come a movement. A small group that give the testimony TO Laodicean church. All 10 virgins were sleeping. What woke them? What is this procession that is going by? Wake up brothers the corporate church is DEAD. The door was shut upon the foolish ones.
Probation closed.

Adventism began as a movement and it will end as a movement.

Can we know what it is that MR Vine is upset about?
