“And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws.” Daniel 7:25.
Pope Francis has called for a Synod on Synodality, which is a three-year process in which bishops from around the world gather in a series of meetings with the Pope to advise him on how best to lead the Roman Catholic Church in the future. The final meeting is scheduled to take place at the Vatican from October 2–27, 2024. Catholic News Service reported on September 17, 2024, that the Vatican-led Synod of Bishops will begin with a “penitential liturgy,” which is a public confession of new sins that Rome wants you to repent of.
Catholic News Service reported the following:
• “The second session of the Synod of Bishops on synodality, set to bring 368 bishops, priests, religious and laypeople to the Vatican, will begin by asking forgiveness for various sins on behalf of all the baptized.” [1]
• “According to the Vatican, the sins confessed will include: sins against peace; sins against creation, sins against Indigenous populations and migrants; the sin of abuse; sins against women, family and youth; the sin of using doctrine as stones to be hurled, sins against poverty; and sins against synodality or the lack of listening and communion.” [1]
Once again, the Roman Catholic Church, through its leadership, is rejecting the 10 Commandments and is redefining what sin is. This is a distortion of God’s standard of truth and morality. Destroying the ecosystem is now a “sin” against God. Defying Rome’s authority or “sins against synodality” are the new transgressions that we must repent and confess. Using doctrine as stones to be hurled is the new immorality. The unwillingness to “listen” or be in “communion” with the Pope and his bishops are sins that must be atoned for.
The new Roman Catholic commandment is “Thou shalt not sin against our Synod.” Rome continues to hold the view that it has the power to define and alter moral law. In fact, they have already modified God’s Ten Commandments by removing idolatry from the Second Commandment and switching Saturday to Sunday in the Fourth Commandment.
The Bible alone, God’s Holy Word, defines sin and morality, and there is no such thing as a sin against poverty, as Jesus Himself was poor when He came to this earth. There is no such sin as the sin against creation or the sin of carbon emissions. Operating a car or aircraft powered by carbon fuels is not a sin; in fact, even the Vatican plane, which transports the Pope throughout the world, is polluting the air with CO2. Furthermore, opposing those in positions of authority when they promote error instead of truth is definitely not a sin. That is actually a virtue, not a vice. Rome wants to criminalize any voice of protest that speaks out against the errors of the Synod of Bishops.
It is remarkable that the “man of sin” is changing the definitions of sin so that we are not talking about his plan to promote lawlessness throughout the world (Revelation 18:3, 5). God alone can define sin, and by creating these new “sins,” the Vatican and the Pope are attempting to deflect attention from the real sins (changing of God’s law) that the Church is guilty of.
“Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.” 1 John 3:4.
“I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.” Romans 7:7.
“For where no law is, there is no transgression.” Romans 4:15.
