Pope Francis is working hard to bring the Christian world into unity, aligning everyone with the ecumenical vision of Vatican II. He is making a universal appeal to all churches to embrace fraternity, solidarity, and dialogue, urging Christians of all denominations to transcend divisions and work together for the common good. By advocating for a culture of encounter and a shared mission, Pope Francis is working to unite everyone into one global Christian community. Rome is on its prophetic track to end the historic divisions in Christianity and to bring Protestants and other Christians into full communion with her.
The Vatican Press Office reported on January 16, 2025, that Pope Francis received an interfaith audience at the Vatican and expressed the following to them:
• “Whenever religious leaders come together in a spirit of mutual esteem and commit themselves to the culture of encounter through dialogue, mutual understanding and cooperation, our hope for a better and more just world is renewed and confirmed.” [1]
• “I am confident that these bonds will grow ever stronger in the service of fraternity and peaceful coexistence between peoples. In these troubled times, all of us are called to reject the logic of violence and discord, in order to embrace the logic of encounter, friendship and collaboration in the pursuit of the common good.” [1]
• “Indeed, our religious convictions help us to embrace more clearly these fundamental values of our common humanity and thus allow our different voices to unite in creating a melody of sublime nobility and beauty” (Fratelli Tutti, 283). [1]
• “Despite the challenges of the present moment, interreligious dialogue has a unique role to play in the building of that future of reconciliation, justice and peace for which the world’s peoples, and especially the young, so ardently long.” [1]
We were warned that in the end times the Vatican would seek to unite the world under its influence, paving the way for global tyranny and the imposition of the mark of the beast. As the churches unite, this will only help the papacy to regain its influence and work to align itself with the political powers, leading to the establishment of a global system that imposes religious laws contrary to the commandments of God.
“Here the great crisis is coming upon the world. The Scriptures teach that popery is to regain its lost supremacy, and that the fires of persecution will be rekindled through the time serving concessions of the so-called Protestant world. In this time of peril we can stand only as we have the truth and the power of God” (1888 Materials, p. 901).
The Pope has a new agenda for the churches. He wants them to ignore important biblical truths and simply concentrate on working together on common ground, which will help everyone overcome any prejudices and misunderstandings. Let us not fool ourselves; these ecumenical gestures by the Pope are designed to change our feelings towards Rome and are an invitation for Protestants to end the protest. Inspiration tells us that any union with the Papacy will be based on the fact that Protestants will be the ones to give in and compromise the faith so that the deadly wound can be healed.
“There has been for years, in churches of the Protestant faith, a strong and growing sentiment in favor of a union based upon common points of doctrine. To secure such a union, the discussion of subjects upon which all were not agreed—however important they might be from a Bible standpoint—must necessarily be waived” (Great Controversy, p. 444).
