MAGA—Make Antichrist Great Again

Not only is the prophetic record clear and concise, but its fulfillment is undeniable and is being played out before our eyes.

God’s prophets always get it right. Daniel had foretold the rise of the Roman Papacy and the role it would play when it ascended the world stage. Under the inspiration of God’s Holy Spirit, he penned, “And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time” (Daniel 7:25).

In foretelling the rise and fall of world empires from his time in Babylonian captivity to the second coming of Jesus Christ, Daniel identified those imperial powers as Babylon, Media/Persia, Greece, and Rome; first in its Pagan form and then in its Papal form. Those powers were likened unto ferocious beasts contending for world dominion (Daniel 7:17).

John the Revelator picks up the story and expands upon the role of the Papal power. He prophesied, “And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast” (Revelation 13:1-3).

As John chronicled the demise and resurgence of this massive religious/political behemoth, God’s servant introduced the emergence of a new nation outside of the Papal confederacy. He prophesied, “He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints. And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon” (Revelation 13:10-11).

That lamb-like beast with two horns is aptly representative of the United States of America with its two centers of power, Republicanism and Protestantism. The one, Republicanism, symbolizes the form of government established by the founding fathers—a government of the people, for the people, and by the people, bereft of a king or monarch suppressing the people and unilaterally directing the course of the nation.

Together with the other horn cited, Protestantism, they constitute the source of Americans’ power. Protestantism, the separation of church and state, especially a church without a pope, allows the citizens to worship God according to the dictates of their own consciences. These revolutionary ideas are best expressed in the first amendment of the United States Constitution: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances”.

But John foretold of a time when America would make a U-turn of apocalyptic proportion back to the Roman apostasy. He directs our attention to the day when the nation would not only repudiate every principle of its constitution and Republican (not the Republican party) form of government but will unite with the Papal power to institute a regime of tyranny and repression that has never before been seen in the history of the nations: “And he [America] exerciseth all the power of the first beast [Roman Catholicism] before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.” (Revelation 13:12).

With the election of America’s latest president, that process has been manifestly accelerated. His promise to give more power to the churches signals the onset of the time of persecution of which God’s prophets testified when America fully unites with the Papacy. We are seeing that drama unfold in real time and in living color. Most of the world watched, with great amazement and heartfelt dismay, as America, under the long-held tradition of free transfer of presidential power, handed over its seat of power to someone who not only disregards that principle but openly expressed his disdain for the same by inciting a violent protest/riot to decimate the American Experiment less than four years ago.

Take, for example, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth. Most experts agree that he totally lacks the experience, expertise, and temperament to manage an organization of that size and vitally crucial to maintaining the security of the nation. His only qualification, besides fealty to Donald Trump, is being an avowed Christian Nationalist whose underlying philosophy is the unification of church and state, a repudiation of the First Amendment of the US Constitution. This group constitutes the most formidable pillar of the new president’s political base. In payment for their unrelenting support, he has vowed to give them more power.

Besides Hagseth, Donald Trump has instructed his attorney general, Pam Bondi, also a fervent Christian Nationalist, to create a task force to unite our country again as “One Nation Under God”. Central to his order are instructions to “eradicate anti-Christian bias’ within the United States and prosecute instances of “anti-Christian violence and vandalism.” In plain language, what is openly advocated is the persecution, even unto death, of anyone who does not accept and submit to their religious dogmas and doctrines. John the Revelator refers to this state of affairs as America becoming the image, a mirror reflection of the Roman power: “And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed” (Revelation 13:14).

Reflections on John’s First Beast

Of that first beast, the Papal power, noted historian and Bible scholar H. Grattan Guinness writes, “The true character of heathen Rome was never concealed. On the other hand, Christian Rome is a mystery; it is not what it seems. In profession, it is Divine; in character, satanic.” (H. Grattan Guinness, Romanism and the Reformation, pg. 88).

He continues, “What a record! What a world of tyranny and intolerable anguish compressed into that one word—the Inquisition! Tyranny over the conscience! Men in the name of Jesus Christ stretching and straining, maiming and mangling their fellow men, to compel them to call light darkness and darkness light; to call the Gospel of Christ a lie, and the lie of Satan truth; to confess that wrong is right, and acknowledge right is wrong.; to bow down to man and worship him as God; to call the teachings of Christ heresy, and the teachings of antichrist Divine. Tremendous was the power of that dread tribunal (H. Grattan Guinness, Romanism and the Reformation, pg. 90-91).

The history of the church of Rome testifies to its vehement obscuring and perverting the fact that salvation is found in Jesus Christ, and Him alone. It long ago declared, “Consequently, we declare, state, define, and pronounce that it is altogether necessary to salvation for every human creature to be subject to the Roman pontiff” (Boniface VIII, Unam Sanctam, 1302). In place of Christ’s full and complete atonement for the redemption of all humanity, she imposes herself. In place of salvation from sin as Jesus teaches, she offers salvation in sin, which is obtainable through penance and indulgences.

Under Rome’s influence, the Ecumenical Movement, formerly Protestants, is allowing culture and their political objectives to override clear Biblical teachings. They have all but exchanged sola Scriptura for the traditions of the Church of Rome. A severe case of biblical and historical amnesia has become their lot. Eradicated is their memory of why they were called Protestants and what distinguished them from Catholicism. In their self-imposed stupor, they are unwittingly fulfilling God’s prophecy regarding the roles of America and the Roman papacy in these closing scenes of earth’s history. That prophecy is as clear as it is real; America will make the Papacy great again. The current president and his MAGA movement can be rebranded to mean Make Antichrist Great Again.

While claiming to be the church of Christ on earth, the European Ecclesiastical Establishment, in its doctrines and practice, is anything but Christian. Ellen White, who the Smithsonian magazine recognizes as one of the ten most influential religious figures of all time, enlightens us, “The Protestant churches are in great darkness, or they would discern the signs of the times. The Roman Church is employing every device to extend her influence and increase her power in preparation for a fierce and determined conflict to regain control of the world, to re-establish persecution, and undo all that Protestantism has done” (The Great Controversy, 565-566, Ellen G. White). The prized profit of the Protestant Reformation is the American Experiment.

The prophetic record identifies the Roman church system as the Antichrist power of Bible prophecy. The Protestant Reformers of the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries recognized that fact. It is written of Martin Luther (1483-1546): “Luther proved, by the revelations of Daniel and St. John, by the epistles of St. Paul, St. Peter, and St. Jude, that the reign of Antichrist, predicted and described in the Bible, was the papacy” (History of the Reformation of the Sixteenth Century, J.H. Merle D’Aubigné, Book vi, Chapter xii, pg. 215).

John Calvin (1509-1564) joined the chorus: “Some persons think us too severe and censorious when we call the Roman Pontiff, Antichrist. But those who are of that opinion do not consider that they bring the same charge of presumption against Paul himself, after whom we speak and whose language we adopt. I will briefly show Paul’s words in 2nd Thessalonians 2 are not capable of any other interpretation than that which applies to the Papacy” (Institutes of the Christian Religion, John Calvin).

Charles Chiniquy, a Roman Catholic priest, turned Protestant, in his 19th-century classic, Fifty Years In The Church Of Rome, relates the instructions of his superiors as they planned the takedown and control of what is often referred to as the Greatest Experiment in Human Civilization. He writes, “We will not only elect the President, but will fill and command the armies, man the navies, and hold the keys of the public treasury. It will then be time for our faithful Irish people to give up their grog shops, in order to become the judges and governors of the land … then, yes, then, we will rule the United States, and lay them at the feet of the Vicar of Christ, that he may put an end to their godless system of education, and impious laws of liberty of conscience which are an insult to God and man.”( Charles Chiniquy, Fifty Years in the Church of Rome, Page 282).

Through the two-plus centuries since the formation of the American Republic, the focused goal of the Church of Rome has been the destruction of that system that has as its foundation liberty of conscience. Chiniiquy’s superiors, perhaps unknowingly, were confirming the Biblical prophecy relative to America and the Roman Papacy. To date, the prophetic record has been impeccable. Though it does not identify the president or political party of the United States who would orchestrate the final merging of the Republic with the Papacy, it emphatically reveals that deadly union. That process has been progressive, most notably under former president Ronald Reagan, who appointed the first US ambassador to the Vatican. Undoubtedly, the future of America and the Papacy is written in the indelible record of Bible prophecy.

As the pendulum of freedom continues its rapid swing from democracy to autocracy, the Church of Rome is peculiarly left out of the public conversation. But this will soon change, for the Bible predicts it. One historian poignantly observed: “The Roman church is a hybrid, a monster of ecclesiastical and political power (The Pope and The Jesuits). Its political thought is totalitarian, and whenever it has the opportunity to apply its principles, the result has been bloody repression … The Roman church/state in the 20th century, however, is an institution recovering from a mortal wound. If and when it regains its full power and authority, it will impose a regime more sinister than any the planet has ever seen” (Dr. John W. Robbins, Ecclesiastical Megalomania, pg. 195).

We are well on our way to that end. The Heritage Foundation, for which Dr. Robbins worked from 1975-1976, is essentially a Papal front organization. Its strategic plans for Rome’s final takedown of the United States are plainly laid out in the now-famous document, Project 2025. Its plans are currently being implemented with lightning speed under the smokescreen of President Trump’s Executive Orders. This Roman Catholic-run institution is the very organization that had stealthily engineered the selection of the majority right-wing Roman Catholic justices on the Supreme Court. With Donald Trump in their view, it’s that court that ruled that the president of the United States has unlimited power, tantamount to that of ancient European monarchs, functioning always at the mercy of the church.

As the nation experiences increasing natural disasters, political strife, cultural conflict, and economic turbulence, Rome will propose, and the nation will accept, its panacea for the unmitigated crisis, which is being framed in a spiritual context. That supposedly cure-all is percolating on the horizon. It’s Sunday sacredness, which Rome claims as her mark of authority.

Unfortunately for most Americans today, this thought is totally foreign and perhaps somewhat repulsive. But the agents of Rome, who occupy the highest positions of leadership in all aspects of American society, are keenly aware of this awesome fact. As sworn and committed servants of their church, their interest in America’s survival is superseded by their loyalty to their church and its central aim to be the unchallenged and undisputed leader of the whole world. This is and always has been the ultimate goal of the Church of Rome. In this effort, she is aided by her Jesuits and their coadjutors, who occupy the highest seats in government and politics, not only in America but around the world. America is her final obstacle to overcome.

Ellen White again educates us, “Under various disguises the Jesuits worked their way into offices of state, climbing up to be the counselors of kings, and shaping the policy of nations. They became servants to act as spies upon their masters. (Ellen G. White, The Great Controversy, pg. 235.1)

This is exactly what is happening in the so-called program called MAGA. For all intents and purposes, it’s not making America Great Again; but in fact and indeed, Making Antichrist Great Again; just as that much-despised ancient book predicted more than two thousand years ago.
