Dr. James Snyder is the pastor of the Family of God Fellowship. [1] On March 19, 2024, The Port Lavaca Wave, a newspaper in Lavaca, Texas, published an article written by Dr. James Snyder in which he extolled all the virtues of worshiping on Sunday. It is almost certain that the goal of this propaganda piece was to elevate Sunday as a special day in the community.
The newspaper published the following about Sunday:
• “My favorite day of the week is Sunday. I enjoy attending church, fellowshipping with other Christians, and of course, the Sunday worship services. I enjoy Sunday morning and evening like no other time of the week.” [2]
• “Since I became a Christian about 65 years ago, I have only missed a Sunday service when I was sick or having some emergency. Sunday is the most important day of the week for me, and it has been for years. I don’t see it changing anytime soon.” [2]
• “As much as I love Sunday, I can’t say the same about Monday. Sunday is filled with joy and rejoicing and delightful fellowship. I get up each Sunday morning with great expectations. Monday is a different story, filled with gloom, doom, and a ‘What day is it?’ mentality.” [2]
• “I understand that Saturday is the day we prepare for Sunday. I get that, and I do it every week. There should be some kind of law making Monday a day to recover from Sunday’s activities and prepare for the week ahead.” [2]
Contrary to what the newspaper article states, Saturday is not the day of preparation for Sunday. Furthermore, no matter how much people write about it or wish it were, declaring Sunday to be the special day for worship does not make it so. Unfortunately, Sunday was falsely reported as such in the newspaper, and the lies about Sunday keep spreading across the country and the globe.
This message has been promoted by the news media for years in an effort to encourage people to get back into church on Sunday. Others are calling for Sunday closing laws in order to save our culture. It is undeniable that the movement for Sunday rest is becoming more and more popular, as is the effort to make everyone a sun worshipper.
This situation will only grow worse in the days ahead: “And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” Revelation 13:17.

Wow, things are moving quickly towards Sunday Legislation. Pr Snyder is wanting so called “Laws” to Enforce his will on non Church Goers in America and Elsewhere. However as far as God and His Ten Commandments are concerned what he desires is Unlawful in the eyes of God. Also the Laws he Desires to enforce on People are Nothing more than Commercial codes. Religious powers, allied to heaven by profession, and claiming to have the characteristics of a lamb, will show by their acts that they have the heart of a dragon and that they are instigated and controlled by Satan. The time is coming when God’s people will feel the hand of persecution because they keep holy the seventh day.
Satan has caused the change of the Sabbath in the hope of carrying out his purpose for the defeat of God’s plans. He seeks to make the commands of God of less force in the world than human laws. The man of sin, who thought to change times and laws, and who has always oppressed the people of God, will cause laws to be made enforcing the observance of the first day of the week. But God’s people are to stand firm for Him. And the Lord will work in their behalf, showing plainly that He is the God of gods.
Their envy and hatred against those who obey the fourth commandment will wax more and more bitter. But the people of God are not to hide their banner. They are not to ignore the commandments of God and, in order to have an easy time, go with the multitude to do evil. The Lord encourages all who seek Him with the whole heart. He gives them His Holy Spirit, the manifestation of His presence and favor. But those who forsake God in order to save their lives will be forsaken by Him.
