AdventHealth has officially agreed to be the “Title Sponsor” of the Cure All-Star Football Game, which will feature the greatest high school football players from Lake and Osceola Counties in Florida. [1] The all-star game is set to take place on Friday night, December 9, 2022. [2]
How can we teach people about the sanctity of the Sabbath when we sign up to sponsor football games that violate its sacred hours? How can we communicate the sealing message, which is the keeping of the Sabbath during the mark of the beast, while church institutions openly promote the desecration of the Sabbath through worldly sports entertainment?
God clearly sees these “occasional” secular activities on His Sabbath day as equivalent to publicly and utterly rejecting His holy day:
“It is the grossest presumption for mortal man to venture upon a compromise with the Almighty in order to secure his own petty, temporal interests. It is as ruthless a violation of the law to occasionally use the Sabbath for secular business as to entirely reject it; for it is making the Lord’s commandments a matter of convenience. ‘I the Lord thy God am a jealous God,’ is thundered from Sinai. No partial obedience, no divided interest, is accepted by Him who declares that the iniquities of the fathers shall be visited upon the children to the third and fourth generation of them that hate Him, and that He will show mercy unto thousands of them that love Him and keep His commandments. It is not a small matter to rob a neighbor, and great is the stigma attached to one who is found guilty of such an act; yet he who would scorn to defraud his fellow man will without shame rob his heavenly Father of the time that He has blessed and set apart for a special purpose” (Testimonies, Vol. 4, p. 249).
What more fundamental principle does a Seventh-day Adventist have than to safeguard and keep holy God’s Sabbath?
“Those who would have the seal of God in their foreheads must keep the Sabbath of the fourth commandment. This is what distinguishes them from the disloyal, who have accepted a man-made institution in the place of the true Sabbath. The observance of God’s rest day is the mark of distinction between him that serveth God and him that serveth Him not” (Manuscript 27, 1899).
AdventHealth has become part of the secular sports culture as they are now promoting Sabbath football games instead of defending God’s law and teaching others about the Seventh-day Adventist faith. We are supposed to be encouraging others to keep the seventh-day Sabbath and not to encourage or sponsor sin, which is the breaking of God’s commandments (1 John 3:4).
This is not the time for the church to lower God’s moral standards; rather, it is time to raise them so that people might learn about God’s seventh-day Sabbath and His final warning message. In Selected Messages, Book 1, Chapter 24, we are told to oppose any revisions or deviations from the truth. “Meet it firmly,” is God’s command. Sin and apostasy should be dealt with swiftly and decisively:
“We must firmly refuse to be drawn away from the platform of eternal truth, which since 1844 has stood the test. I am instructed to speak plainly. ‘Meet it,’ is the word spoken to me. ‘Meet it firmly, and without delay’.” (Selected Messages, Book 1, pp. 199, 200).
If we don’t do anything about this situation, or if we continue with our “business as usual” approach, God tells us clearly what will happen if nothing changes. In the same book, Selected Messages, Book 1, Chapter 25, we are warned:
“The Sabbath of course, would be lightly regarded, as also the God who created it. Nothing would be allowed to stand in the way of the new movement. The leaders would teach that virtue is better than vice, but God being removed, they would place their dependence on human power, which, without God, is worthless. Their foundation would be built on the sand, and storm and tempest would sweep away the structure” (1 SM 204, 205).
AdventHealth is not only the leader of this “new movement” that has developed within the church; they are also the culmination of this Sabbath-breaking scandal, along with their partnership with the pro-LGBT+, pro-alcohol, and pro-spiritualism Disney Corporation. Remember, it was Dr. Kellogg and his medical work that introduced the Alpha of Apostasy into the church, and it is also the medical work that is helping to bring in the Omega now.

“Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and He will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.” It’s not pardon and forsake, but forsake then He pardons. Some will say not to judge because God sees the heart, that’s right and he God weighs the motifs of our hearts, because out of the abundance of the heart that the mouth speaks. The consistent actions seen by AdventHealth in supporting outright sin, how can anyone make excuse for them. Like the reaction at Weimar that would let one say it seems management may want to correct this taint. With adventhealth, it appears they are ensuring that the stain is plastered. The point you made re the alpha of apostasy and the omega, that’s spot on, pointed. Even with all the revelations with the current crisis, i see men of the world openly stating their regrets and confessing their ignorance. Will our leadership at different levels all across the world yet admit their blindness and supporting and promoting of Babylon’s potions? If we can’t admit that we went astray then certainly truth has fallen in the street, but God has a people who will stand. Ezekiel 2v5 comes to mind. Still praying for you and all God’s people everywhere that are not acquiesced. Cry aloud!
