From June 6 to 8, 2022, the Summit of the Americas hosted an interfaith “face-to-face” discussion in Los Angeles, CA to address the “concern and needs” in the Western Hemisphere.” This interreligious forum produced a “document” with “common goals,” with “unity in religious diversity” as the primary objective. [1] The ecumenical gathering drew over 100 religious leaders from North, Central, and South America, as well as the Caribbean. [2]
Who were the people who gathered for three days to establish “unity in religious diversity?” The following participants were listed in the actual document produced by this interfaith forum:
“It is noteworthy that the participants included a diverse group of Catholics, Anglicans, Lutherans, Methodists, Reformed Christians, Baptists, Evangelicals, Adventists, Orthodox Christians, Latter-day Saints, Jews, Muslims, Bahá’ís, indigenous people, Afro-Latin American and Caribbean people, Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs, and others, including youth representatives, who came together to share their perspectives, values and concerns distinctive with respect to the needs of the western hemisphere, within the framework of cooperation interreligious community that inspires us to work together for peace, justice and solidarity.” [2]
Peace, cooperation, and support for Rome and all her fallen daughters (Revelation 17:5)? Are these the new depths to which our people wish to descend? What were the areas of cooperation and solidarity in which these churches, including Seventh-day Adventists, agreed to collaborate? The following information was revealed in the final document:
- The COVID-19 pandemic has demonstrated the need for urgent system reforms including addressing ongoing immunization issues, a trans-national preparation for future pandemic events, improvements to ensure equitable access and quality (covid vaccines), and the need to ensure that mental health services are comprehensive and comprehensive in health systems.
- Policies aimed at eliminating all unfair discrimination based on reasons of race, religion, gender, indigenous heritage and sexual orientation, ensuring they achieve equity for all.
- It is necessary to identify and implement comprehensive solutions to environmental challenges, including climate change and deforestation in the Amazon, taking into account the concerns of all interested parties, including loss and damage.
- Immigration
- Education and internet access to all
- Religious liberty [2]
The conscientiousness and focus of Seventh-day Adventists is changing as many begin to align their mission with the world’s. When we allow this to happen, it weakens our witness. We don’t have many missions; we only have one.
“In a special sense Seventh-day Adventists have been set in the world as watchmen and light bearers. To them has been entrusted the last warning for a perishing world. On them is shining wonderful light from the word of God. They have been given a work of the most solemn import—the proclamation of the first, second, and third angels’ messages. There is no other work of so great importance. They are to allow nothing else to absorb their attention” (Testimonies, Vol. 9, p. 19).
Our mission to the rest of the world has been clearly laid out for us in simple but straightforward terms. They are detailed in both the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy. Tragically, there is a concerted effort underway to reshape the work of the church by entangling us in social justice and political entanglements. We have been told not to get involved in political and social issues:
“Our people need to be silent upon questions which have no relation to the third angel’s message” (Selected Messages, Book 2, p. 336).
“The Lord designs that the proclamation of the third angel’s message shall be the highest, greatest work carried on in our world at this time” (Testimonies, Vol. 8, p. 180).
“God has not called His people to ignore present truth for these last days, and take up a work that so absorbs workers and means that the Lord is not represented as He would otherwise be” (Manuscript Release, Vol. 9, p. 84).
In a society that is increasingly turning away from God in favor of secular humanism and relativism, God’s church is called to bear witness to the certainty of His end-time truth, which is rooted in the Holy Scriptures. As the world moves towards globalism, we are to point people to the coming of the Lord and the Kingdom of God. Our mission is to provide people with the spiritual preparation that God desires in order for us to be ready for the return of Jesus.
Anything that diverts our attention away from this spiritual preparation is a deviation from our mission. Our message should be one of spiritual exhortation, encouraging people to live the Christian life and shine the light of Christ in this broken world. We are called to cultivate faith and discipleship and restore lives by reconciling them to Christ through the everlasting gospel of Revelation 14.
This is the unity of mission that God requires. During the closing work, we must be able to deliver God’s message, which is an invitation to join His commandment-keeping people. This is the assurance we need to instill on our dying planet. We must never allow secular interests to take precedence over God’s last-day warning. All of these interfaith, globalist events with Rome are intended to divert our attention and draw us away from our true mission. Unfortunately, this shift in purpose will also cause us to lose our souls.
“The Lord has made us the depositaries of His law; He has committed to us sacred and eternal truth, which is to be given to others in faithful warnings, reproofs, and encouragement” (Testimonies, Vol. 5, p. 381).
“The Lord gives a special truth for the people in an emergency. Who dare refuse to publish it? He commands his servants to present the last invitation of mercy to the world. They cannot remain silent, except at the peril of their souls. Christ’s ambassadors have nothing to do with consequences. They must perform their duty, and leave results with God” (Great Controversy, p. 609).

I have a serious, serious problem with our denomination on leadership level. They don’t understand the seriousness of what they are doing by involving in interfaith movements and signing agreements contrary to our belief standards. One day it will hurt us when we must defend our belief in courts. The prosecutors may use against us that our church have agreed to this and that contrary to what we as members believe. What then? I was batized into a church that belive in the Trinity which is contrary to what I believe. My chuch is involved in ecumenism, contrary to my belief. I have only touched the surface. Must I leave the church to avoid being responsible for their false beliefs?

EGW tells us that it looks like the church is about to fall, but it does not! Don’t leave for any reason. It must get worse before it gets better. I have been in this church for 47 years, and have seen a lot of changes, some for the better, and a lot toward the worst! I will never leave it. Like Peter, I say, where else is there to go???
This IS the Remnant Church that was founded by God, and it will go through to the end! Like Walter Veith says, “Get you some glue, put it on your seat, and sit on it”. Not everyone in this church has bowed the knee to Bail….
As far as the Trinity goes, I am not sure what you mean. EGW clearly states in the book EVANGELISM that there are three person’s that make up the Godhead. Father, Son AND Holy Spirit. That is all I need to know about the Trinity. Don’t let these issues cloud your vision, and your mission! We are to preach the 3 Angels Messages of Revelation 14.

You have the wrong translation of what EWG wrote in her handwritten manuscript. Here is what she really wrote:
There are tree living personalities in the heavenly trio in which every soul repenting of their sins receiving Christ by a living faith to them who are baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost, their high dignified personalities.
Personalities is not beings/persons but characteristic pattern of thoughts, feelings and behaviours that make a person unique.
Bruce Willis says
You are wrong Roger. Read this and check the quote as she said:
There are three living persons of the heavenly trio; in the name of these three great powers–the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit– those who receive Christ by living faith are baptized, and these powers will co-operate with the obedient subjects of heaven in their efforts to live the new life in Christ. . . . {SpTB07 63.2}

Hello my brother, you have highlighted some of the major flaws of our church that have mushroomed over the years as raised in this blog post.
I for one believe that these flaws are in fulfilment of prophecy. The church may seem as if about to fall but it will not because those leading in apostasy will be weeded out. I think it’s high time we focused on our salvation especially as individuals.
This is the sealing time and we should expect such happenings. What matters is that we remain faithful and understand the times we are living in.
Every time I read Ezekiel 8 and 9, I tend to think we are the people these scriptures refer to.
Good day, God bless you!

I just joined the Seventh Day Adventist church. I was introduced to this church when a gas station worker in my town told me about Walther Veith’s videos. I could see the world falling apart. I’ve never read the Bible before, and never belonged to any church. From the time I was little, I would see the pope on TV, and in my mind I thought “That guy is the opposite of everything I know about Jesus. I don’t remember where I heard the story of Jesus. Long story short, I said in a joking way to the gas station attendant. Is the pope the anti-christ or what? He pointed me to Mr. Veith. Didn’t Ellen White say all of this strife would happen in the church? We shouldn’t be upset at what the “leaders” are doing. This is supposed to happen, right? To me the things going on prove Ellen White was right and the Seventh Day Adventist true message about the return of Jesus is really true, that God is real and if we Love and Worship Him, we have a chance. Keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. Awesome time to be alive.

Am very thankful for your testimony. Praise the Lord! Welcome! The Lord does not let just anyone come into this mess. You, obviously can take it!

Isaiah 1:8 And the daughter of Zion is left as a cottage in a vineyard, as a lodge in a garden of cucumbers, as a besieged city.
1:9 Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, [and] we should have been like unto Gomorrah.
Daniel says
The groundwork has been laid..within 2 years we will see Sunday Adventist Churches, along with a plethora of reasons why.
When Leroy Froom was allowed to change some of EGW’s writing and the GC changed and rearranged the original pillars of our movement and accepted the mark of the 501c3 the writing was on the wall so to speak.
It truly is a shame to see what man has done to what was once God’s end time remnant movement.
To all faithful and true Seventh-day Adventists I say Stand Strong for Christ.
We didn’t leave the Adventist Church, the 501c3 Corporate Adventist Church has left us

I don’t doubt it. You’re right, this apostasy has been around a long time. Also right, we haven’t left, they left.

The greatest want of the world is the want of men—men who will not be bought or sold, men who in their inmost souls are true and honest, men who do not fear to call sin by its right name, men whose conscience is as true to duty as the needle to the pole, men who will stand for the right though the heavens fall. – Ed 57.3

You have based an entire article and argument on the word “Adventists.” You are aware that other faith groups use the word Advent in their name? But let’s say they were Seventh-day Adventists…then who attended? Was it church leadership? If so, on what level? Or was it just a few pastors or members with misguided intentions? I can tell you the church leaders I rub elbows with would not attend such an event. Take care you do better research before writing this kind of an article.

Please watch / listen to Alex Ortega ( Second Advent Revival on YouTube ) on the Holy Spirit and his video : Seventh Day Adventism Before the Trinity Doctrine. If our pioneers were alive today they would be disfellowshipped EGW included.
