An Interview with the Creator of the new Sabbath Truth App, which is compatible with all Mobile Devices

We are blessed to have the opportunity to share the following interview we conducted with Pastor Aubrey Duncan. Pastor Duncan, a former drug addict who is now an author, evangelist, and pastor serving in Forsyth, Georgia, is a living testimony of the transformative power of God. Additionally, he founded and serves as the director of Advent Truth Ministries, which is devoted to spreading the truth about the Third Angel’s Message. He just recently released a simple-to-use mobile app called Sabbath Truth that serves as a resource for news and information about the seventh-day Sabbath. I can’t stress enough how important it is to maintain an evangelism-focused mindset in these last days, and this user-friendly smartphone app is a practical, modern, and effective tool for spreading the Three Angels’ Message. Andy Roman: Pastor Aubrey Duncan, you have had the privilege of sharing the special truths found in the Three Angels’ Message for many years, especially the Sabbath truth. Why is that so, and what is your most recent project?

Pastor Aubrey Duncan: Thanks very much for giving me the opportunity to talk with you and share with your readers. I became a Seventh-day Adventist some twenty-three years ago. I was not a member of any other church, nor did I grow up in a particularly Christian environment. It was amid a twelve-year plus addiction to crack cocaine that someone introduced me to Jesus Christ and Sabbath-keeping. After many years of struggle, the Lord won out and has given me not only victory over my crack cocaine habit, but has given me a deep passion for lifting up Jesus and sharing His end-time message with a doomed and dying world.

He has laid a special burden on my heart to share His Sabbath Truth. God has restored me from a twelve-year addiction that debilitated my mind. He has blessed me with the great privilege and opportunity to write a couple of books on His Sabbath and end-time events concerning the Sabbath/Sunday issue. Most recently, He has inspired me and provided the resources for me to develop THE SABBATH TRUTH app.

Andy Roman: I know that you stay current with the signs of the times. Tell us if you believe that a Sunday Law is on the horizon or if that claim is just sensationalism.

Pastor Aubrey Duncan: As we look at the current political, religious, and cultural events, not only here in the United States of America but also around the world, one is forced to conclude that something stupendous is about to take place on planet earth. As Christians, we know that that event is none other than the soon coming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. As Seventh-day Adventists, we also know that a great crisis of apocalyptic proportions will take place just before the glorious return of Jesus Christ to redeem those who have given their lives to Him. That crisis, as we can now discern its contours, will be the Sabbath/Sunday issue. The magnitude and severity of that crisis were foreshadowed by John the Revelator in the Book of Revelation. So important is his alarm that he pictures it as three angels flying in the midst of heaven, thus symbolizing a warning message to the entire world. This is not sensationalism, and it is most applicable to the times in which we live.

Andy Roman: Why should we not just focus on teaching about Jesus? Why are you determined to discuss biblical truth, particularly the Sabbath doctrine?

Pastor Aubrey Duncan: The erroneous belief that we can teach Jesus without calling men and women to keep His commandments is dangerous and deadly. It is a deception of the gravest nature. Jesus admonishes us, “If ye love Me, keep my commandments” (John 14:15). Those commandments include His Sabbath commandment. In fact, He is sending out a clarion call to all humanity to honor Him as Creator by keeping Holy His blessed Sabbath day. John again proclaims on behalf of our Creator, “Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters” (John 14:7). This is the message for our time and must go to the ends of the earth so that everyone will have the opportunity to make the right choice in the final battle of the Conflict of the Ages. We are reminded by God’s inspired messenger:

“The Sabbath will be the great test of loyalty, for it is the point of truth especially controverted. When the final test shall be brought to bear upon men, then the line of distinction will be drawn between those who serve God and those who serve Him not. While the observance of the false sabbath in compliance with the law of the state, contrary to the fourth commandment, will be an avowal of allegiance to a power that is in opposition to God, the keeping of the true Sabbath, in obedience to God’s law, is an evidence of loyalty to the Creator. While one class, by accepting the sign of submission to earthly powers, receive the mark of the beast, the other, choosing the token of allegiance to divine authority, receive the seal of God” (E.G. White, Great Controversy, Pg. 605.2).

God’s people can only put their salvation in jeopardy if they remain silent as the push for Sunday sacredness, under the cover of the climate change crisis, is being intensified at an alarming rate. The crisis is not the climate, but rebellion against the God of all creation.

Andy Roman: We firmly believe that having a resource with all the information and news regarding the Sabbath is crucial at this time. How can someone download your Sabbath app or donate to your cause? And is your new app compatible with both Android and iPhones?

Pastor Aubrey Duncan: The SABBAT TRUTH App is an excellent source of information, not only for those who already know about and keep God’s Holy Sabbath; but would be a tremendous blessing to those who are searching for answers on the Sabbath issue. The App talks about the blessings of God’s Sabbath to those who embrace it. It gives a compact history of the Sabbath from creation to redemption. One can learn about the attempted change from Sabbath to Sunday and read the boasts of the ecclesiastical entity that claims to have made that change. The App also provides information. The SABBATH TRUTH App is very interactive. A user can engage in conversation on the Sabbath by sharing their thoughts and asking questions. The Breaking News feature keeps users up to date on Sabbath/Sunday issues from around the world. Here’s what one user remarked, “The App’s multiple functions are user-friendly, easily accessible, and provide a veritable mountain of information concerning the Sabbath and Sunday issue” Every user has the opportunity to share their thoughts.
