As In the Days of Lot: 1 in 4 High School Students Identifies as LGBT+

God’s word describes very vividly the scenes that will take place just before the second coming of Jesus. The Lord has provided us with an accurate picture of the end times. The following words of the Saviour are being fulfilled before our eyes:

“Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.” Luke 17:28-30.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released a new report on April 27, 2023, estimating that one in four high school students identifies as LGBT+. [1] The following sobering statement was actually outlined in the CDC report:

“In 2021, a total of 75.5% of students self-identified as heterosexual, 3.2% as gay or lesbian, 12.1% as bisexual, 5.2% as questioning, and 3.9% as other (Table 2); 1.8% responded with “I do not know what this question is asking” (data not shown). The percentage of students with a sexual identity other than heterosexual has increased steadily, from 11% in 2015 to 26% in 2021 (Figure 5).” [2]

Welcome to the final generation that will see Jesus come. The above graph shows what six years (2015–2021) of Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, and other social media have done to our generation of young people. We are witnessing the downfall of society. It is also obvious that our school systems are not teaching math and history, but instead, the radical LGBT+ agenda is constantly being shoved in their faces, day in and day out. This alone should get you to start homeschooling your children.

As you look at Figure 5, published by the CDC, it is hard not to see Christ’s words coming to pass in Luke 17:28–30. The Saviour compared the days immediately preceding His coming in glory with the days of Lot. Of the days of Lot, it is recorded:

“But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the Lord exceedingly.” Genesis 13:13.

“And the Lord said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous.” Genesis 18:20.

The apostle Paul, speaking about the last days, said:

“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away … But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.” 2 Timothy 3:1-5, 13.

We know that Jesus is about to come again in the clouds of glory because the conditions depicted above perfectly describe what we are currently experiencing. In the darkest hour of earth’s history, when sorrow and suffering are at their highest, when the awful floodgate of sin appears to bring about a universal destruction upon the earth, then deliverance will come to the weary, waiting saints. Through a split in the dark, angry clouds, when great darkness shall cover the earth (Isaiah 60:2), we will catch a glimpse of glory streaming from heaven when our beloved Lord returns, and from all over the earth, men and women everywhere will see the most glorious event of the ages:

“For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.” Luke 17:24.

God has also given us a solemn work to do in the last days. May we be found as faithful missionaries, speedily giving the threefold messages of Revelation 14 to every nation, kindred, tongue, and people.
