Adventist Health celebrated Ash Wednesday at two of its California hospitals on March 2, 2022. Adventist Health Bakersfield and Adventist Health Tehachapi brought in a spiritual health care team, which included a Roman Catholic priest, and offered “blessed ashes” to their patients and employees. Adventist Health proudly shared this “religious” event on social media for all to see.

Here is Catholic Priest Mark Maxon from the Saint Malachy Roman Catholic Church in Tehachapi, California. He is officiating during the celebration of Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent, at Adventist Health Tehachapi for patients and staff.
Seventh-day Adventists are supposed to place the Scriptures above tradition. We reject the idea of elevating the teachings of fallible man to the same level as God’s word. We used to disagree with Protestant and Catholic churches when they added or deleted from the Bible, misapplied God’s word, and glorified man-made traditions in the church. But thanks to 60 years of ecumenism, it seems that we are also guilty of doing the same.
Regrettably, Adventist institutions are commemorating Ash Wednesday, a Roman Catholic feast day and a man-made festival. There isn’t a single word or hint concerning Ash Wednesday in the entire Bible. These celebrations are on equal level with Sunday keeping, the immortality of the soul, and papal authority because Ash Wednesday is associated with Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday in Roman Catholic tradition.
According to Catholic tradition, on Ash Wednesday, “all the faithful” are exhorted to have a priest apply ashes to their foreheads. The ashes used in the ceremony are “made from the burning remains of the palms blessed on Palm Sunday of the previous year.” The ashes are mixed with “holy water” and blessed by the bishop or priest. Ash Wednesday, according to Catholic theology, is the first day that marks the beginning of Lent and takes place six and a half weeks before Easter Sunday. It is a celebration to prepare people for Easter Sunday. [2] Seventh-day Adventist institutions are now submitting to these human traditions. We call out the other churches that teach Sunday sacredness and accuse them of embracing tradition. However, we are doing the same while claiming to defend the Holy Scriptures. We say we are the “People of the Book.” Which book? The Holy Bible or the Catholic Catechism?
Too many of our pastors and leaders are dead asleep and stand silent as Rome’s propaganda, which has no place in any of our institutions, is being celebrated, published, and forced upon our people. Promoting Romanism only helps to heal her deadly wound. We are increasingly seeing more evidence of these activities as church leaders embrace the heathen interfaith fraternity that Pope Francis has been actively promoting in all the churches.
When Catholic beliefs and Catholic mysticism are introduced into our institutions, we should be shocked and dismayed. Why do they allow this to happen? This kind of work or mission did not originate with God. Ultimately, the Holy Scriptures are being replaced by Catholic traditions. Human teachings are a diversion from God’s true mission for us at this time in history, which is to proclaim the Three Angels’ Messages to the entire world.
God cannot condone any of this. The Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy do not approve of bringing Catholic priests into our institutions to perform their rituals. God’s sheep is being led astray by these administrators and their ecumenical clergy team. We become complicit if we keep silent. Silence in the face of the Omega of Apostasy is a form of apostasy in and of itself. Anyone who would accept or condone this action, or who dares to remain silent, should be ashamed.
“But God will have a people upon the earth to maintain the Bible, and the Bible only, as the standard of all doctrines, and the basis of all reforms. The opinions of learned men, the deductions of science, the creeds or decisions of ecclesiastical councils, as numerous and discordant as are the churches which they represent, the voice of the majority,—not one or all of these should be regarded as evidence for or against any point of religious faith. Before accepting any doctrine or precept, we should demand a plain ‘Thus saith the Lord’ in its support” (Great Controversy, p. 595).

People wear this “cross” like it is a badge of honor. The only one they are honoring is Satan! Biden wore his “cross” all day Wednesday for the world to see. I guess he thinks this makes him holy some how. By the end of the day, it looked like he just had a smudge of dirt on his forehead.
The Bible changes us, but from the inside out, not from the outside in. The Pharisee’s liked their flashy robes and the little boxes on their heads and on their wrist. Jesus put them in their place, just as he will put all those in their place, thinking that an ash cross on their foreheads is changing them on the inside!
I pity all those that believe that a cross on their forehead is doing anything to help in their salvation! Just like the mark of the beast, in their forehead or in their hand. Except, it will not be seen by the naked eye. It is what they think and what they do. I wonder what the priest and pastors are going to do with that one???
This is no surprise after the General Conference of 1980 stated that we now elevate traditions of men above the scriptures!

Am an Adventist, but to be honest, our church lost direction long time ago. Nowadays if you Worship..Go Worship God on sabbath through the name of the ramb jesus christ, not as a seventh day Adventist church worshipper or member.. its a worst of time.
We shouldn’t give these views a forum in our institutions or on our social media profiles since they contradict our beliefs. By doing so, we are just confirming our support for these teachings.
@Sonya , how will we know how far we have sunken and how will the global community know how to secure themselves against such apostasy. We are in no way agreeing with this, the Bible says in Eph 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove( expose) them.
Do not be shocked or surprised. The Bible and the SOP told of these inevitable events, the institutions of the SDA church under the GC are gone and are part of Satanic Babylon. It is now that the true remnant within the remnant call out the sins and carry on the work that the Dumb Dogs refuse to do. The true Church, The True Faithful Army of Christ will persevere and receive power and strength from God to give the loud cry. Pray for the SDA lost in error, but do not negate the work that each of us are called to do.

When is this type of fraternizing with the RCC in worship and tradition going to stop? Is God wasting His time by giving us the Three Angels’ Messages? Who needs to “come out of her my people,” they or us? Thank God he has told us beforehand that the church, our SDA church, will appear to fall, but He will take it through by the Remnant.

Many visitors to our Hospitals could be mistaken for believing they are in a Catholic institutions, some of them were straight up given to the Catholic Church,
Some have allowed their influence to be such that they are in a sense holding their hands saying everything we have is yours,
I know because I worked at San Hospital in Wahroonga Sydney Australia for 6+ years, most nearly every section is run by a Roman Catholic, Catholics are the majority staff member because Catholics Hire other Catholics,
I found pictures of Mary behind reception desks in the new building,
invitations to mass at the desk of Catheter lab,
A painting donated to the hospital near the main lifts depicts Catholic Hell on it,
The nurses Res had a prayer box on it with Catholic hands holding rosary beads,
The guy who sent out the Monday medical mission statements once published

On occasion Catholic priests in full regalia come to give the Rich Catholics last rites on their death beds…
They use to employ staff from Avondale university but whilst I was there I overheard the lady who hired new staff saying to another lady how “Catholics are the best”,
I then saw her wave in a busload of Catholic university students, in red and black t-shirts with Catholic University on their backs in giant letters, after a few weeks those shirts came off and nurses uniforms came on,
Then more and more bus loads of Catholic University students arrived, repeat-repeated and so on
Anyone who went their might be confused that it was a Papal hospital.
I sure was.

This sounds like an infiltration of the jesuits. This really looks like there is a take over of the administration within our institutions and when Revelation talks about frogs, this is a prime example of that. Where is Ted Wilson on this to shut this thing down? Whoever thought this was a good thing has really got to repent and turn from their wicked ways, flee the devil, resist him, and correct what was done to allow these workers to be marked with a Catholic ritual practice. Repent! This is really what it means when EGW spoke about our men and women turning away from the faith. Wow, I’m literally not shocked about this because these things are going to happen when our people don’t spend time in God’s word.
