The present conflict that we are seeing develop daily around us is indeed becoming more and more terrible. Human life is being blotted out across racial and religious lines without any kind of regard for the dignity and sanctity of life. While worshipers were praying inside a Quebec City mosque gunmen entered and fired upon 40 people killing 6. Police have confirmed that the gunmen have been arrested.
“Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great whirlwind shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth” (Jeremiah 25:32).
This is the very condition outlined in prophecy that we are seeing today. People and responding by arming themselves. Gun sales are at record levels while nations are also preparing for conflict and war. There is no country or people who are not being affected by the war on terror. Unfortunately, many innocent people are becoming casualties in this conflict. It’s become world-wide and there is nowhere you can flee to escape.
“And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet” (Matthew 24:8).
All of these signs are telling us that we are entering the final crises-hour of the ages. During this time the souls of people will tried and tested. Prophecy is bing fulfilled and the destiny of every soul will soon be decided. Because life is so uncertain it is time to make our calling and election sure.
“Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand” (Daniel 12:10).
