Chad Alec Ripperger is a Catholic priest and theologian from the Archdiocese of Denver in Colorado. In this video, he discusses Mary’s role in spiritual warfare. He refers to her as the “nuclear bomb of heaven,” and whenever she appears, the demons are forced to leave. He also makes the following claim: “If her (Mary’s) eyes are upon you, your salvation is assured. Now think about what that means. It means if she turns her gaze from you, you’re toast.”
When will people learn that we don’t need to look to another mediator to approach and find God? And we certainly don’t need to seek the living God through idols or dead people who can’t hear or help.
“Should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead?” Isaiah 8:19.
“Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.” Isaiah 45:22.
The doctrine of Mary is one of the most prominent beliefs in Catholicism. The church defends the immaculate conception of Mary, her ascension into heaven, her role as “Queen of Heaven,” and her intercessory work that they claim Mary does on behalf of sinners before God. These four doctrines make Mary another deity worthy of veneration. This is one of the central teachings of the Catholic faith.
These doctrines are deeply set against the clear teachings of scripture. Jesus is the only “mediator” between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5). Jesus is the only “advocate” with God whenever we sin (1 John 2:1). Jesus is the only one who is sitting at the “right hand” of God, “interceding” for us (Romans 8:34). It is Christ’s death on the cross and His heavenly intercession that are the most important works in the history of the universe. Christ alone is the only help, and He alone will receive this honor from the redeemed.
“Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing. And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honor, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.” Revelation 5:12, 13.
Mary was not slain for your sins, and she does not intercede for us when we sin. Nowhere in the Bible are we taught this. To ascribe to Mary the offices, titles, and roles that belong to Jesus is to rob Christ of the honor and glory that He alone possesses.
This is in fact a deception, and billions of people are being drawn into a snare by the enemy. The bewitching teachers of spiritualism have deceived the world with their fables, and this work is a fulfillment of prophecy:
“The doctrine of natural immortality, first borrowed from the pagan philosophy, and in the darkness of the great apostasy incorporated into the Christian faith, has supplanted the truth, so plainly taught in Scripture, that “the dead know not anything … The doctrine of man’s consciousness in death, especially the belief that the spirits of the dead return to minister to the living, has prepared the way for modern Spiritualism … Here is a channel regarded as sacred, through which Satan works for the accomplishment of his purposes. The fallen angels who do his bidding appear as messengers from the spirit world. While professing to bring the living into communication with the dead, the prince of evil exercises his bewitching influence upon their minds.” (Great Controversy, p. 551).
“Satan has long been preparing for his final effort to deceive the world. The foundation of his work was laid by the assurance given to Eve in Eden: ‘Ye shall not surely die.’ ‘In the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.’ Genesis 3:4, 5. Little by little he has prepared the way for his masterpiece of deception in the development of spiritualism. He has not yet reached the full accomplishment of his designs; but it will be reached in the last remnant of time. Says the prophet: ‘I saw three unclean spirits like frogs … They are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.’ Revelation 16:13, 14. Except those who are kept by the power of God, through faith in His word, the whole world will be swept into the ranks of this delusion” (Maranatha, p. 166).

When we believe in the Godhead, we are biblical believers.
When we believe in the Trinity and/or in a human nature of Christ distinct from our own, we are Catholic believers and worshipers of Mary.

Br. Andy,
If Jesus is our mediator, and I do believe he is, then who is the Holy Spirit? Is it not the Spirit of Christ? 1 Cor. 6:19 says the body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Do we not want Christ in Us the hope of glory Col. 1:27? Only the Son of God can bring us to the Father— he is our mediator and our Ladder back into the grace of God. The only being, the Son of God, being God himself like his Father, that could have been the sacrifice we humans needed for salvation.
Lifting up ‘another’ being, when thinking of the Trinity, is just as a heresy as uplifting Mary.
Jesus tells us him and his Father will come and make their abode in us John14. Jesus will come to us.

This article:
1. Fails to mention the key point that the Priest was simply getting at Mary being the Ark of the New Covenant,
2. Fails to mention this core doctrine which would have provided the reader with a proper understanding of what the Priest meant,
3. Puts forward a lying claim that being Christs earthly mother somehow makes Mary a goddess. Catholics teach she is NOT a goddess and Catholics teach that worship of Mary is a mortal sin,
4. Pointlessly talks about spirits since the Catholics believe Mary was bodily assumed into Heaven. The state of the dead is irrelevant.
This article is clearly a false witness hitjob against Catholic neighbours.
