There is a spectacularly amazing passage in the Bible that speaks specifically to the present age. It is found in the book of Revelation, which is essentially written in symbols. Though many erroneously claim that this portion of Scripture cannot be understood, God admonishes otherwise.
To begin with, the writer of the book, John, declares to us that he is about to reveal who truly is Jesus. John was the closest disciple of Jesus Christ. He informs us that Jesus appeared to him in his exiled, mountain prison of Patmos in the Aegean Sea. The beloved disciple then promises us, on the authority of Jesus Christ, that whosoever reads and understands the book’s contents will be blessed (Revelation 1:1-3).
Let’s reason together for a moment. Would you give your three-year-old child the keys to your newly purchased Lexus and tell him to take it on the highway? Of course not. That would not only be irresponsible but also downright criminal and patently stupid. How then can anyone conclude that our Creator gives us a revelation of Himself and pronounces a blessing on those who read and understand it, but then says that it is too difficult for us to understand? It makes absolutely no sense, doesn’t it? God is neither stupid nor irresponsible. He is reasonable.
Creator God wants us to understand the book of Revelation as it was written for the very time in which we live. The narrative traverses the whole of history and finally presents the summation of salvation. The Apocalypse is a portrait of contest and conflict. It reveals the church of God versus the bride of anti-Christ. John reports on the war in heaven and previews eternal peace on earth. He speaks of those who will be saved and those who will be lost. The law of God is uplifted, and the tradition of man is condemned. The Seal of God is presented in contrast to the Mark of the Beast. We see the harvest of God unto everlasting life triumphing over the reaping of the tares for eternal destruction. We hear the call of the man of sin to follow him, in contradiction to the loving appeal of the Creator God to worship Him.
The final scenes of the book are being played out before our very eyes. Just as John prophesied, we are witnessing the gathering together of all religions. Together with the organizing of all political powers under a single entity, the objective is to bring about better understanding among and tranquility in the human family.
But behind this good-sounding plan to bring unity and prosperity for the ‘common good’ lies the sinister agenda to make war against the God of the universe in the persons of those who do read, understand and keep the words of Revelation’s prophecy. John uncovers the conspiracy: “And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth … And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful” (Revelation 17:9,12-14).
Here’s how a newspaper columnist, quite representative of almost universal opinion, thinks of the head of the woman that sits on seven hills: “Perhaps the most influential political leader of our time is an unlikely figure — Pope Francis. People everywhere, non-Catholics, non-Christians, myself included, are listening admiringly for two reasons: a) his tone is imbued with humility, self-deprecation, humor, non sanctimony, non hypocrisy. And b), he has steered the Catholic Church’s emphasis away from sexual politics to issues of poverty and justice. He says the most damning things with a light touch, so he’s been aptly called a gentle radical. In a sense, he is the perfect pope for our time. We’re increasingly seeing that it is dangerous to leave politics solely to politicians” (Saritha Prabhu, The Tennessean, September 11, 2015).
The ten horns clearly represent the political and military powers that align themselves with the Papacy, subjecting their authority to it. Ten is a number of completeness, and in this context, it refers to the entire world. Unaware to most of the earth’s inhabitants, we live in a political climate where the United Nations and the Club of Rome divided up the entire world into ten economic districts in 1973. The identification of John’s ten horns as the political and military component of this massive alliance is profoundly appropriate. The Revelator is pointing us to a universal church/state union in which the church of Rome is ruling over the political and economic entities of the world. This is best evidenced by the gatherings of the world’s political powers at the COP Conferences to discuss and implement Francis’ solution for the climate crisis, Sunday sacredness. It’s a proposition that has gained worldwide favor.
Babylon the Great
Preceding John, the prophet Daniel, while in captivity in the Babylonian empire, prophesied of the empires that would rule the world and have an impact on God’s plan of redemption from the time of the Jewish captivity until the second coming of Jesus Christ to planet earth. Those entities, as history has proven, are Babylon, Media-Persia, Greece, and Imperial Rome. John then portrays a change in the nature of Imperial Rome from its militaristic character to one of a religious nature. Rome’s transformation from a world military might into the world’s most dominant religious entity is a matter of historical fact.
John the Revelator amplifies Daniel’s characterization of modern-day, spiritual Babylon: “And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet color, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication. And upon her forehead was the name written, MYSTERY BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration” (Revelation 17:4-6).
This woman (church) is exceedingly rich in worldly goods. She promotes anti-Christian dogmas and doctrines while claiming to be the church of Christ. The Bible refers to her teachings as ‘wines of devils and abominations of the earth’. It is indeed a great mystery that so many are deceived by her. Her history of persecution of God’s people is undeniable.
The Protestant Reformers recognized the Roman entity to be exactly what the Bible declares it to be—the anti-Christ power of Bible prophecy. Martin Luther declared, “We here are of the conviction that the Papacy is the seat of the true and real anti-Christ…personally, I declare that I owe the pope no other obedience than that to anti-Christ” (Prophetic Faith of our Fathers, Vol. 2, pg. 121 by LeRoy Edwin Froom).
Her daughters are religious organizations, particularly apostate Protestantism, that teach and promote her dogmas and doctrines rather than proclaiming the truth of the gospel, as it is in Jesus Christ. Their agenda is set for political power, just like mama, rather than laboring for the restoration of the image of God in fallen humanity.
One noted historian writes: “When Christianity conquered Rome, the ecclesiastical structure of the pagan church, the title and vestments of the Pontifex Maximus, the worship of the Great Mother goddess and a multitude of comforting divinities… the joy and solemnity of old festivals, and the pageantry of immemorial ceremony, passed like maternal blood into the new religion, and captive Rome captured her conqueror. The reigns and skills of government were handed down by a dying empire to a virile Papacy. The lost power of the broken sword was re-won by the magic of the consoling word. The armies of the state were replaced by the missionaries of the church, moving in all directions along the Roman roads; and the revolted provinces, accepting Christianity, again acknowledged the sovereignty of Rome. The church with the shadow of the ancient authority behind it, was the only symbol left of imperial Rome. Its bishop, the pope of Rome, was the city’s only recourse for leadership and protection. The Roman Empire in Europe would be replaced by the spiritual empire, which came to be temporal as well, whose reigning seigneur was the bishop of Rome” (Will Durant, Caesar and Christ, page 672).
Have you ever heard the saying, “Europe is Catholicism, and Catholicism is Europe? That’s a living reality. This European Ecclesiastical Empire is reputed for its persecution of those who choose to believe in the word of Almighty God rather than being enveloped in its rites and sacraments. Contrary to her current public persona as a benefactor to humanity, the Church of Rome has not changed. She covers the iron hand of persecution and thirst for dominance with the velvet glove of piety and good works. Her spirit of religious intolerance and insatiable lust for world dominance are the underpinnings of her aims and purposes.
Another historian notes: “That the Church of Rome has shed more innocent blood than any other institution that have ever existed among mankind, will be questioned by no Protestant who has a competent knowledge of history… It is impossible to form a complete conception of the multitude of her victims, and it is quite certain that no powers of imagination can adequately realize their sufferings” (History of The Rise and Influence of The Spirit of Rationalism in Europe, W.E.H. Lecky, Volume 2, page 32, 1910 ed.).
Such actions characterized the church’s actions of old. There has never been any repudiation of the teachings and practices that led to such atrocities. Therefore, she will not hesitate to do likewise when vantage ground is granted to her. That vantage ground is being delivered to her on a golden platter called ‘Climate Change Crisis’.
In foretelling of the Roman church element relative to the second-coming of Jesus Christ, the apostle Paul warned: “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God” (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4).
John Paul II eloquently epitomized Paul’s assertion: “Confronted with the Pope, one must make a choice. The leader of the Catholic Church is defined by the faith as the Vicar of Jesus Christ (and is accepted as such by believers). The Pope is considered the man on earth who represents the Son of God, who “takes the place” of the Second Person of the omnipotent God of the Trinity” (Pope John Paul II, Threshold of Hope, pg. 3).
Theologian and historian Alexander Hislop, in his classic, Two Babylons, stated: “There has never been any difficulty in the mind of any enlightened Protestant in identifying the woman sitting on seven mountains and having on her forehead the name, “Mystery Babylon the Great,” with the Roman apostasy. No other city in the world has ever been celebrated, as the city of Rome has, for its situation on seven hills. Pagan poets and orators, who had not thought of elucidating prophecy, have alike characterized it as the ‘Seven Hilled City’. Thus, Virgil refers to it, ‘Rome has both the most beautiful city in the world, and alone has surrounded for herself seven heights with a wall.” (Alexander Hislop, Two Babylons, pg. 20).
Further, in his well-researched and documented treatise, Hislop makes the striking comparison between ancient Babylon and the Roman Papacy. He documents the following attributes pertaining to both systems: Justification by works, Purgatory and prayers for the dead, Sacrifice of the Mass, Relic Worship, Offices of Priests, Monks and Nuns, forgiveness of sins by priests, the Rosary and the Worship of the Sacred Heart, the Supremacy of the Sovereign Pontiff.
Come Out of Her, My People
The world is rapidly speeding towards its appointment with destiny, just as the Great I Am predicted. His inspired servant John revealed to us almost 2,000 years ago that what we see taking place in the world today as the man of sin, through his appointed agents, is promising peace through the uniting of all the nations and all the world’s religions, will not result in peace but would rather bring a regime so cruel, so despotic, and so tyrannical such as never been seen in the annals of human history. Their vicious, demonic endeavors will be directed towards those who truly accept and embrace the Great I AM.
God’s servant, Daniel, prophesied more than twenty-six hundred years ago of the scene percolating on the horizon: “And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. (Daniel 12:1-2).
His last day prophet, a little old lady with a third grade education named Ellen White, sheds more light on the picture: “When the leading churches of the United States, uniting upon such points of doctrine as are held by them in common, shall influence the state to enforce their decrees and to sustain their institutions, then Protestant America will have formed an image of the Roman hierarchy, and the infliction of civil penalties upon dissenters will inevitably result” (GC 445). We are now there, and the corporate push to establish Sunday as a universal day of rest is accelerating at an alarming rate.
The attempt to change God’s Sabbath from the seventh day to the first, as Daniel prophesied, has always been the objective of the Roman church. She plainly states: “Sunday is our mark of authority … the church is above the Bible, and the transference of Sabbath is proof of that fact.” (Catholic R Record, Sept 1, 1923).
God says that His Sabbath is the seventh day of the week and not Sunday, the first. His Sabbath is His sign of His authority as Creator of the heavens and the earth and all that is in them. His inspired word reveals no concept of a Christian Sabbath named Sunday. The pope says Sunday is the mark of his authority. The question is: whom are you following? The plain fact is that only God can make a day holy. The day He has made holy is the seventh day, today called Saturday. It is the only holy Sabbath day, bequeathed at creation for all humanity.
The Final Calls
October 4th, 2023, marked the release of Pope Francis’ encyclical, Laudato Deum. This document is heralded as a follow-up to or part 2 of his previous encyclical, Laudato Si. In that exhortation, Francis put forth the urgent call for the world to honor Sunday, which he believes will reverse the climate crisis and provide relief for the poor. The entire world seems to be yielding to Francis’ call and is willingly accepting his program for the so-called ‘common good’.
And now, in Laudato Deum, he is urging the nations to act swiftly in that regard. Appealing to world leaders that would be participating in the Climate Conference, COP28, in November 2023 in the United Arab Emirates, Francis emphasized: “Once and for all, let us put an end to the irresponsible derision that would present this issue as something purely ecological, “green”, romantic, and frequently subject to ridicule by economic interests. Let us finally admit that it is a human and social problem on any number of levels. For this reason, it calls for involvement on the part of all. In conferences on the climate, the actions of groups negatively portrayed as “radicalized” tend to attract attention. But in reality, they are filling a space left empty by society as a whole, which ought to exercise a healthy “pressure”, since every family ought to realize that the future of their children is at stake” (Pope Francis, Laudato Deum. Sec. 58).
Francis makes this appeal within the context of what he sees as a failure on the part of national governments to implement the linchpin of the climate crisis solution, Sunday sacredness, as is presented in Laudato Si: “On Sunday, our participation in the Eucharist has special importance. Sunday, like the Jewish Sabbath, is meant to be a day that heals our relationships with God, with ourselves, with others, and with the world. Sunday is the day of the Resurrection, the “first day” of the new creation, whose first fruits are the Lord’s risen humanity, the pledge of the final transfiguration of all created reality. It also proclaims “man’s eternal rest in God” (Pope Francis, Laudato Si, Sec. 237).
The problem with this enterprise, however, is that it is contrary to and in opposition to the final call of the Creator God. Here’s His last appeal to a doomed and dying planet: “And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people (Revelation 14:6).
Since God wants us to understand and be blessed by His revelations to us, then unlike the naysayers, we can easily analyze the symbols employed and arrive at the correct interpretation of what they represent. Assuming that most of you reading this post are not Greek scholars (I am not either), I will give the simplest interpretation of what God is trying to help us understand.
The word ‘angel’ comes from the Ancient Greek ἄγγελος (ángelos) meaning messenger. The angel therefore signifies God’s people, representing Him in these last days. God’s servants then characterize the messenger as ‘having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people’. The question of what the everlasting gospel is must first be answered. And that is the message of salvation by God’s grace through faith in His Son and our Savior, Jesus Christ. John confirms that that message existed before the foundation of the world. In fact, he states that when all the world is yielding to the call to keep Sunday in order to save the planet, God will have a people that will be boldly proclaiming that salvation is through Jesus Christ and Him alone: “And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him [the Papal power], whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world” (Revelation 13:8).
Jesus Christ foretold of this world-wide proclamation of His true Gospel, the everlasting Gospel of the messengers of Revelation 14:6: “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come (Matthew 24:14).
In addition to displaying the power of that everlasting gospel by the purification of their characters, and displaying it to all they come into contact with; these messengers, empowered by God’s Holy Spirit, will be sounding God’s final call to keep God’s holy, seventh-day Sabbath, honoring Him as their Creator and Sustainer: “Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters” (Revelation 14:7).
Jesus was careful to warn against that other call that would be proclaimed in opposition to His true Gospel: “When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) “ (Matthew 24:15). That abomination of desolation is currently being manifested in the call for Sunday sacredness to save the planet, in opposition to the loving appeal of Creator God to honor Him by keeping His holy and blessed Sabbath day. In fact, so perverse is the abomination that it is being promoted as the Sabbath and is accepted by the vast majority of humanity.
But the fact that the majority accepts the false gospel does not make it right or true. Jesus warned: “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it” (Matthew 7:13-14).
The broad gate leads to Papal dominance, ultimate destruction, and eternal separation from Jehovah God: “For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies (Isn’t this what we are seeing today?). And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double” (Revelation 18:3-6).
Universal Sunday sacredness, the chief wine of the wrath of her fornication, will not lead to a better world. Instead, the prophetic word reveals that it is the path to the pit of perdition and eternal damnation. But our loving Creator, who is also our Only Redeemer, beckons you: “COME OUT OF HER MY PEOPLE”. He is the narrow way that is paved to salvation and eternal life. He says: “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow Me” (John 10:27).
The question is, ‘are you one of His sheep? What will be your response? You have only one of two choices—salvation in Jesus Christ with His Seventh-day Sabbath or the man of sin with his Sunday sacredness. There is no middle ground.

Br. Marcus says
It’s not just about what day you worship but about what God you serve.
What good does it do to keep the 7th day Sabbath if you worship a 3-in-1 Deity?
The RCC prides itself in my theological principles, and yes, Sunday sacredness is one of them, but so is the Trinity. And before I get the flood of comments regarding the differences between the RCC Trinity and the SDA Godhead, take a moment to research two things: 1. Where did the concept of a triune god originate 2. Does the SDA church believe the concept is found in the Bible or as BRI says “you have to believe in this concept in faith because it’s not found in the Bible”.
My brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, please get ready get ready get ready! The 10 virgin parable is coming to fruition. The bridegroom cometh. We all have the truth but are we filled with Gods Holy Spirit? Are your lamps trimmed and full of oil? The procession is giving the loud cry while the church slumbers.
Please love the beautiful PLAIN truths the Bible present: God had a literal son whom he sent to die for us sinners because he LOVES us.
“And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.”
Revelation 14:8 KJV
Babylon cannot be the RCC because the angel proclaims it is fallen and the Catholic Church was never in a position to fall as it had always been a habitation of devils.
Babylon signifies the Universal church (not the Catholic Church although I do see the name similarities). These are the Protestant churches that have departed from the teachings of Christ. They teach false doctrines. And now the SDA church has drank of that cup.
The little flock will remain but the corporate church is fallen. The church which Sr. White speaks of when she says it looks as if it will fall but perseveres (paraphrase) is not a church as what we think (Adventism) but a church as in what the Bible says is a church (people). Gods little flock will make it.
So please, pray and let His Spirit guide you to truth and the love for that truth.
