We have a black America, a white America, a brown America and an every other America. We no longer have a United States of America. Greed, selfishness, racism, corruption is destroying the soul of our country. Our system is broken and how can it ever be fixed? We certainly appreciate all that our statesmen and stateswoman are doing in Washington D. C. to try to help our country, but God has spoken plainly on how we can truly have lasting solutions for peace of prosperity for our nation.
“If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them…And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make [you] afraid…For I will have respect unto you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and establish my covenant with you.” Leviticus 26:3, 6, 9.
We must have godly leaders that will manifest humility and respect to the sacred trusts given them. They are accountable to God for the policies and principles they use to administer the nation. Principles of truth, honesty, mercy, love, justice, law, respect, transparency, accountability and righteousness are principles outlined in God’s word that will bring His blessings.
Lies, selfishness, greed, injustice, lawlessness, iniquity, hate and sin will only cause society to become more and more unsafe. God’s word tells us this: “And if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, [but] that ye break my covenant: I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.” Leviticus 26:15, 16.
Disobedience to God’s moral principles that define right from wrong behavior has been our problem. “God bless America” are the words displayed on so many banners and placards, sung in many songs and expressed by politicians during this past election year. But how can we ask God to bless a crises that man is creating through sin and disobedience?
“Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid [his] face from you, that he will not hear.” Isaiah 59:1, 2.
The lack of spirituality and the unwillingness to seek God’s counsel in our nation’s decisions is what’s responsible for the rise of evil, strife and distrust that we are see daily. The more we move away from God’s law the more secular we become and the more careless we become with our relationships with each other.
The prevailing attitude is “every man for himself.” We have a “me” mentality and mindset that continues to divided our nation. God’s word reveals that we are all God’s children. Everyone is loved equally by our Creator and He desire to transform our minds and hearts through the power of His gospel. Only when we truly accept God’s redeeming love into our lives can we even begin to keep God’s commandments and love our neighbors.
If America doesn’t move towards this experience and if we don’t start supporting and taking care of each other then we will be swept into complete anarchy and there will be more death, riots, terrorism, shootings and troubles.
We want God to truly bless America; but we also want God to make each one of us and our political leaders a blessing to each other, to ourselves and to our God.
The truth is that we are all God’s children. We are all equally loved by our Creator, and He desires to transform our lives and renew our minds through the gospel. It is only through the redeeming power of God’s grace that we will be able to love God, keep His commandments and love our neighbor as well. When this happens then will we become our brother’s keeper.
If this experience doesn’t happen and if we do not start supporting each other as God has commanded us then what we are seeing with the riots, the protests, the shootings and the killings will continue to happen until every major city in America is swept into anarchy.
The iniquity, sin and disobedience to God’s law is the problem. We love to sing the song “God Bless America” at our national events but how can we ask God to bless a crisis that man has created through sin and disobedience? The lack of spirituality and the lack of seeking God’s will for our lives is responsible for the rise of evil that we see happening daily. There is no doubt about it. God’s word is crystal clear when speaking about this subject. Anyone can see just by looking at the last ten years of our nation’s history that the more secular and godless this nation becomes the more careless and indifferent we become in our relationship with each other.
