Paris Fashion Week is a semi-annual fashion industry event where designers present their latest brands and collections to buyers and the media. This year’s Autumn/Winter event took place between September 26 and October 4, 2022. This is a huge event for celebrities, models, and the world’s biggest fashion brands.
Kanye West, who recently renamed himself “Ye”, was no exception. The American rapper, songwriter, record producer, and fashion designer, who has millions of fans around the world, attended Paris Fashion Week. Kanye West walked the runway with other models wearing a T-shirt with the slogan “White Lives Matter” on the back and photos of Saint John Paul II on the front.

The images of Pope John Paul II also featured the words “Seguiremos Tu Ejemplo,” meaning “We Will Follow Your Example.” This shirt and message were part of Kanye’s “Yeezy Season 9 Collection.” During the unveiling of his new Pope John Paul II “We Will Follow Your Example” shirt, Kanye West said the following:
“We changed the look of fashion over the last 10 years. We are the streets. We are the culture,” Ye said during an extended preamble to the show. “And when it comes to the culture, I am Ye, and everyone knows I am the leader.” [1]
The entire world is truly “wondering after the beast” (Revelation 13:3). This includes the fashion industry as well. Rome has become fashionable. There is a reason why fashion is so important to our youth and culture. Apparel reflects the beliefs, customs, values, and morals of individuals and groups of people. Fashion is the ultimate form of self-expression through clothing. And the message conveyed by Kanye West’s new design is that we are with Rome, Rome is with us, and we will follow in Rome’s footsteps.
Our clothing establishes our sense of belonging and our place in society. Our garments help to establish our unity and identity. That is why God’s people must be wearing the robes of Christ’s perfect righteousness. These garments will be necessary in order to be ready to meet Jesus in the clouds of heaven.
“Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.” Revelation 19:7, 8.
Unfortunately, the garments glorifying popery do not glorify Jesus. They promote Satan’s masterpiece of deception, leading the fashion industry and the rest of society to worship the beast of Bible prophecy:
“Satan’s masterpiece of deception is popery; and while it has been demonstrated that a day of great intellectual darkness was favorable to Romanism, it will also be demonstrated that a day of great intellectual light is also favorable to its power; for the minds of men are concentrated on their own superiority, and do not like to retain God in their knowledge” (Signs of the Times, February 19, 1894).

Closed on Sunday, you’re my Chick-fil-A
Closed on Sunday, you my Chick-fil-A
Hold the selfies, put the ‘Gram away
Get your family, y’all hold hands and pray
When you got daughters, always keep ’em safe
Watch out for vipers, don’t let them indoctrinate
Closed on Sunday, you my Chick-fil-A
You’re my number one, with the lemonade
Raise our sons, train them in the faith
Through temptations, make sure they’re wide awake
Follow Jesus, listen and obey
No more livin’ for the culture, we nobody’s slave
IMAGINE!
