Ted Wilson is pictured here with Dr. Casely Essamuach, the Secretary of the Global Christian Forum, a world-wide ecumenical group made up of Catholics and Protestants. Dr. Casely, Ted Wilson’s honored guest, is holding up his organization’s infamous book, “Let Mutual Love Continue” at the ecumenical luncheon he attended with Ted Wilson and Ganoune Diop during the 61st General Conference Session in St. Louis. Dr. Casely, Rome’s ecumenical agent, is obviously here to promote his book and his message, which calls for the reconciliation of Catholics and Protestants. We will examine the contents of this book.
Remember, this is the same Dr. Casely Essamuach who, along with Pope Francis, is working to bring Protestants and Catholics together in unity and common ground. In fact, on page 195 of his organization’s book, “Let Mutual Love Continue,” Dr. Casely Essamuach includes a papal greeting and a papal blessing from Pope Francis. [1] Don’t forget, this is the same book that Dr. Casely was holding up with Ted Wilson during their ecumenical lunch at the GC Sessions.
The book “Let Mutual Love Continue” praises the path of reconciliation that Protestants and Catholics are taking to end the old controversies of the past. This book highlights the changes that are taking place today, but not the changes in Rome. Rome never changes. It’s Protestantism that is changing. Let’s look at the contents of the book:
“Catholics and Protestants Coming Together”
Page 122: “Five centuries of conflict, rivalry and prejudice between Catholics and Protestants are being overcome, slowly but surely, through a profound conversion—a journey in the opposite direction—that allows the churches together to distance themselves from the mistakes and exaggerations that led to their separation and to discern and take up the gifts that God is giving to each” [1] (Let Mutual Love Continue, p. 122).
This is a call to distance ourselves from the five centuries of conflict and rivalry between Catholics and Protestants and to abandon the mistakes of the past.
“Acknowledge your Church Family”
Page 33: “Gathered from 24 different church families, we welcome one another. Please stand as we acknowledge your church family: African Initiated; Anglican; Baptist; Catholic; Church of Christ; Disciples of Christ; Evangelical; Holiness; Independent; Lutheran; Mennonite; Messianic Jew; Non-denominational; Old Catholic; Orthodox; Oriental Orthodox; Pentecostal; Quakers; Reformed and Presbyterian; Salvation Army; Seventh-day Adventists; United and Uniting; Waldensian.” [1] (Let Mutual Love Continue, p. 33).
This is a call to stand and acknowledge your church family, one big universal fraternity of Roman Catholics and Protestants.
More than just Observers
Ganoune Diop is the face of the Seventh-day Adventist Church to the world. He represents the church at ecumenical events. He is much more than just an observer; he’s an active participant, organizer, and sometimes chairs certain events along with the Pontifical Council for promoting Christian Unity and other Vatican officials. Diop’s name is found in the book “Let Mutual Love Continue.”
Page 403: The “Revd. Dr. Ganoune Diop” is listed as a Global Christian Forum Committee member who represents the “Seventh-day Adventist Church, USA.” [1] (Let Mutual Love Continue, p. 403).
Page 406: The “Revd. Dr. Ganoune Diop,” representing the Seventh-day Adventist Church, is listed as a member of the “Third Global Gathering Planning Group” for the Global Christian Forum. [1] (Let Mutual Love Continue, p. 403).
Page 202: Ganoune Diop plays his flute at the Global Christian Forum. [1] (Let Mutual Love Continue, p. 403).
On page 202 of the book “Let Mutual Love Continue,” you will find this picture of Ganoune Diop playing his flute for the Global Christian Forum ecumenical event. Ganounie Diop is featured in this diabolical book that is calling for all of Protestantism to unite with Rome. And this book was featured during the ecumenical luncheon at the GC Session. God’s word clearly says:
“For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle?” 1 Corinthians 14:8.
We have traded our trumpet for a flute! The failure on the part of many of our pastors and leaders to warn the church against the dangers of Rome is leaving us at the mercy of wolves, Rome’s ecumenical agents! The great interfaith deception, which is leading the whole world back to Rome, is being met with approval by almost everyone. This Rome-ward trend will only continue in the days ahead. That is why inspiration tells us to do the following:
“While the Protestant world is making concessions to Rome, and danger is increasing on every hand, let us arouse to comprehend the situation, and to see the contest before us in its true bearings. Let the watchmen lift up the voice, and give with clearness the message which is present truth for this time” (Signs of the Times, November 28, 1900).
Colonel Kenneth Johnson is the National Chief Secretary of The Salvation Army (left). Everton Jackson (right) is the Director of Integral Mission for the Baptist World Alliance. Their badges say “Indianapolis 2020” because the 61st GC Session was scheduled at the time. Because of the pandemic, it was delayed to 2022 and moved to St. Louis. However, all the badges worn by the delegates and guests had the old Indianapolis 2020 date and location. They are pictured here during the ecumenical lunch at the 61st General Conference Session.
Healing the “Broke-away Period” in the Body of Christ
Page 52: “The Global Christian Forum is the widening of the space that we all hoped for. I see it as a genuine and concerted effort to bring about healing, reconciliation and mutual love in the body of Christ. It is a move that broke away from the period of exclusion, superiority/inferiority complexes and name-calling.” [1] (Let Mutual Love Continue, p. 52).
This is a call to heal the period when the body of Christ “broke away” from each other. In other words, it’s time to heal the deadly wound (Revelation 13:3).
Celebrating Vatican II’s Decree on Ecumenism
This book, which is being held up next to Ted Wilson, is a celebration of Vatican II’s Decree on Ecumenism, Rome’s plan to unite Protestants and Catholics into one:
Page 121: “Unitatis redintegratio (Decree on Ecumenism) is acknowledgement meant that Catholics admitted that blame for the separation in the sixteenth century was not all on the other side, but on our side too. It opened the road to a deep and transforming purification of memory, going beyond the unilateral and self-centered way in which, for centuries, Catholics and Protestants had presented the Reformation.” [1] (Let Mutual Love Continue, p. 121).
Let’s not pretend Ted Wilson is unaware of the information contained in the book “Let Mutual Love Continue.” Ganoune Diop is mentioned 12 times in the book, which was published in 2018, along with heretical statements from Pope Francis and other ecumenical agents of Rome.
A Summary of the Global Christian Forum’s Book
Page 7: “We give thanks to God that the wind that blew in Bogotá continues to call churches together in collaboration and partnership, for the sake of the gospel, in response to our Lord’s prayer that all may be one, and in a world that so desperately needs reconciliation. Indeed, let mutual love continue. To God be the glory” [1] (Let Mutual Love Continue, p. 7).
President Ted Wilson stated during this interfaith gathering: “What a privilege for Seventh-Day Adventists and other Christians to be epistles of Christ, representatives of the highest Authority of the universe.” [2]
A friend from Australia said it best when he expressed the following about this ecumenical lunch during the 61st General Conference Session in St. Louis:
“Have our leaders no concept of what ‘Come out of her My people,’ actually means. Given your presentation here, I am convinced it is time for all Seventh-day Adventists to take spiritual stock of what we actually believe. We can no longer rely on what filters down from the top. We have to know for ourselves. Israel’s greatest sin was abandoning when God said ‘don’t,’ and if we are not careful, our fate will mirror theirs” (from Australia).
In response to the leadership’s unwillingness to be open and transparent about their ecumenical activities, a friend from Canada wrote the following to me:
“It reminds me of the duplicity surrounding the Martin-Barnhouse meetings, when Adventist leadership assured the evangelicals that Adventists were modifying their beliefs while assuring Adventists they were not. I imagine they’ll keep doing so until Seventh-day Adventists have a Vatican Union Conference office and members will be so acclimatized to it all that they won’t even notice that anything is amiss” (From Canada).
In case you are waiting for some unmistakable sign from God that the “Omega of Deadly Heresies” has arrived, wait no longer. There will probably not be a clearer indication than what we are seeing at the highest levels of the church today. These men are doing what Dr. Kellogg could only dream about, which was to introduce a system of philosophy that would neutralize the fundamental principles and landmarks of our faith. Today, we are witnessing the greatest push towards ecumenical unity with Rome. Everyone is on board, with the exception of the 7,000 who will never bow their knees to Rome. The Omega is not near; it’s here! And it is during this time that the faithful will stand up and lift up the banner of Christ that makes us a uniquely “distinctive people.” If not, we will be left out and go into utter darkness:
“The time is not far distant when the test will come to every soul. The mark of the beast will be urged upon us. Those who have step by step yielded to worldly demands and conformed to worldly customs will not find it a hard matter to yield to the powers that be, rather than subject themselves to derision, insult, threatened imprisonment, and death. The contest is between the commandments of God and the commandments of men. In this time the gold will be separated from the dross in the church. True godliness will be clearly distinguished from the appearance and tinsel of it. Many a star that we have admired for its brilliancy will then go out in darkness. Chaff like a cloud will be borne away on the wind, even from places where we see only floors of rich wheat.” (Testimonies, Vol. 5, p. 81).

But now that you are aware
Hope you are hopping mad
The enemy of souls has sought to bring in the supposition that a great reformation was to take place among Seventh-day Adventists, and that this reformation would consist in giving up the doctrines which stand as the pillars of our faith, and engaging in a process of reorganization. Were this reformation to take place, what would result? The principles of truth that God in His wisdom has given to the remnant church, would be discarded. Our religion would be changed. The fundamental principles that have sustained the work for the last fifty years would be accounted as error. A new organization would be established. Books of a new order would be written. A system of intellectual philosophy would be introduced. The founders of this system would go into the cities, and do a wonderful work. The Sabbath of course, would be lightly regarded, as also the God who created it. Nothing would be allowed to stand in the way of the new movement. The leaders would teach that virtue is better than vice, but God being removed, they would place their dependence on human power, which, without God, is worthless. Their foundation would be built on the sand, and storm and tempest would sweep away the structure. – 1SM 204.2

The rulers of the nations need to plant their feet upon the platform of eternal truth. They should not be allowed, because of ignorance, to build their houses on the sand. These men are not to be worshiped as gods. They are accountable to God for their course of action. To Him they must answer if they become a savor of death unto death to those who are under their jurisdiction.—Letter 187, 1903. – Ev 561.1

This is truly a sad day for all of us! When did we start calling church members Reverend?????? Diop had to agree to how his name was inserted in that book! I fear for Ted Wilson and his salvation. He is taking a path down a slippery slope. We won’t have to wait for the left, liberal side of our denomination to try and destroy our church. I fear Ted Wilson is handling that quite well all by himself.
Linda says
I agree with all that you said!! This needs to stop, and here he was just re-elected! We must pray, pray, pray!! for a different leadership!

Thank you Linda for bringing Psalms 111:9 to our attention. Holy and Reverend is GOD’s NAME!!!

The small church I have attended has yet to fully see the church has fallen I have recently stepped away from it due to the Pastor to refuse to separate from the conference leadership I know it’s his livelihood God will lead him in the soon decisions that must be made God will deliver those who will hear his voice and his guidance I pray daily for him and the church family. Forgive me if I am speaking out against one of God anointed

Brother Rick, please read the following E. G. White quote.
“I asked the meaning of the shaking I had seen and was shown that it would be caused by the straight testimony called forth by the counsel of the True Witness to the Laodiceans. This will have its effect upon the heart of the receiver, and will lead him to exalt the standard and pour forth the straight truth. Some will not bear this straight testimony. They will rise up against it, and this is what will cause a shaking among God’s people. EW 270.2
I saw that the testimony of the True Witness has not been half heeded. The solemn testimony upon which the destiny of the church hangs has been lightly esteemed, if not entirely disregarded. This testimony must work deep repentance; all who truly receive it will obey it and be purified.” EW 270.3
The parable of the reaper and threshing out the grain: it is the chaff that leaves/blows away, the precious grain remains. Be patient and wait on the Lord.
“Satan will work his miracles to deceive; he will set up his power as supreme. The church may appear as about to fall, but it does not fall. It remains, while the sinners in Zion will be sifted out—the chaff separated from the precious wheat. This is a terrible ordeal, but nevertheless it must take place. None but those who have been overcoming by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony will be found with the loyal and true, without spot or stain of sin, without guile in their mouths. We must be divested of our self-righteousness and arrayed in the righteousness of Christ.” 2SM 380.2

I also attend a small “forgotten” SDA church. We can say pretty much what we want. We have some good discussions in our class. We also have a like-minded group that meets to discuss what’s really going on, and nothing is held back. God is leading and hiding us under the radar for now. If little inroads could be made in many congregations, God would multiply the results, and who knows? We are told that God is going to take charge of His flock Himself. I believe it. We can start at the bottom with the love of Christ, and work our way up. If God be in it, who can stop us?
Yes Ms Jane says
EGW’s writings are being fufilled before our eyes, here’s what she wrote about Spiritualism attempting to alter it’s appearance:
{But the Bible is interpreted in a manner that is pleasing to the unrenewed heart, while its solemn and vital truths are made of no effect.
Love is dwelt upon as the chief attribute of God,
but it is degraded to a weak sentimentalism,
making little distinction between good and evil.
God’s justice, His denunciations of sin, the requirements of His holy law, are all kept out of sight.
The people are taught to regard the Decalogue as a dead letter.
Pleasing, bewitching fables captivate the senses and lead men to reject the Bible as the foundation of their faith.
Christ is as verily denied as before; but Satan has so blinded the eyes of the people that the deception is not discerned….}
Elder Wilson isn’t ignorant of the 3 Angels messages, wherein it tells to separate from Babylon, He’s not ignorant of the SOP and how the other churches are fallen after 1844,
So the only conclusions that can be drawn are:
A) He’s a Plant, Spy or been Compromi$ed
B) He’s absolutely lost His mind.
C) He’s just a Politician attempting to please everyone and doesn’t really believe “Come out of Her my people” at all.
None of these options make Him trustworthy, He should step down as under Elder Wilson Apostasy has grown immensely.

I am very sad to see how Ted Wilson deceived everyone. He knew he had an ecumenical lunch ahead but at the same time portrayed himself to be on the side of the church. I can’t trust him anymore.
Rose says
I guess Mr. Diop, and President Ted Wilson forgot 1 Corinthians 5:11. We are not to eat (sharing a meal in fellowship) with someone who claims to be a brother (which was the point of the luncheon: everyone coming together in Christian fellowship) if they are fornicators, covetous, idolaters, railers, drunkards, or extortioners. At least one in the group was representing an organization that did and still does the above.
The Bible Swagman says
What is Seen With Ted Wilson and an Ever Closing of the Gap Between the Professed Church and Babylon is The Result of the Laity Changing Leaders and Not Knowing it Nearly 70 years Ago. Seventh Day Adventists have Long Let a Few Men Decide What it Best for the Church as Though Every Word that Comes from them is From the Lord. Never was a Greater Mistake made. Few have Dared to Stand for the Right like Caleb. Today’s Generation of SDA’s It Seem have made the Same Mistake as their Forefathers almost Seventy Years Ago. Just Because men Like Leroy Froome are Elected by the People and Ted Wilson By Subterfuge Retains his Office does not Mean God Has Chosen these Men. Rather the Laity have allowed a Situation to Develop where a Few Men Conspire against God and His Chosen ones and the People Join in Rebellion as With Korah, Dathan and Abiram.
Here is are Quotes From Patriarchs and Prophets.
” They Had Been Flattered by Korah and His Company until they Believed themselves to Be Very Good People, and that they had Been Wronged and Abused by Moses. Should they Admit that Korah and His Company were Wrong, and Moses Right, then they Would be Compelled to receive as the word of God the Sentence that they Must Die in the Wilderness. They Were Not Willing to Submit to this, and they tried to Believe that Moses had Deceived them. They Fondly Hoped that a New Order of Things was to Be Established, and that Praise would be Substituted for Reproof, and ease for anxiety and Comfort.
It is Hardly Possible for Men to Offer Greater Insult to God than to Despise and Reject the Instrumentalities He Would use for their Salvation. They had not Only Done this, but had Purposed to Put Both Moses and Aaron to Death. Yet they Did not Realize the Necessity of Seeking Pardon from God for their Grievous Sin. That Night of Probation was was not Passed in Repentance and Confession, but in a way to Resist All Evidences that Showed them to be the Greatest of Sinners. They Still Cherish Hatred of the Men of Gods Appointment and Braced themselves to Resist their Authority. Satan was at Hand to Pervert their Judgement and Lead them Blindfold to Destruction”. [ Patriarchs and Prophets pp 401 & 402 ]
Is Ted Wilson Another Korah in the Camp?
“The Hebrews were not Willing to Submit to the Restrictions and Directions of the Lord. They were Restless Under Restraint and Unwilling to Receive Reproof. This was their Secret of Murmuring against Moses. Had they Been Left to Do as they Pleased there would have been fewer complaints against their Leader. All Through the History of the Church the Lords Servants have had the Same Spirit to meet.
It is by Sinful Indulgence that Men Give Satan Access to their Minds, and they Go From one Stage of Wickedness to Another. The Rejection of Light Darkens the Mind and Hardens the Heart, so its is easier for them to take the next step in Sin and Reject Still Clearer Light, until at last their habits of Wrongdoing Become Fixed. Sin Ceases to be Sinful to Them. He Who faithfully Preaches God’s Word, Thereby Condemning their Sins, too often Incurs their hatred. Unwilling to Endure the Pain and Sacrifice Necessary to Reform, They Turn upon the Lords Servant and Denounce his Reproofs as Uncalled for and Severe. Like Korah they Declare that the People are not at fault; it is the Re-prover that Causes all the Trouble. And Soothing their Consciences with this Deception, the Jealous and Disaffected Combine to so Discord in the Church and Weaken the hands who Would Build it Up.
Every Act made by those God has Called to Lead in his Work has Excited Suspicion; every act has been Misrepresented by the Jealous and Faultfinding. Thus it was in the time of Luther, Wesley and other Reformers. Thus it is Today”.
Does this Still Happen to the True Servants of the Lord today who warn of impending Danger?
Danilo says
Let Mutual Truth Continue. But apparently, they can’t.
Joan Wright says
“There is to be no compromise with those who make void the law of God. It is not safe to rely upon them as counselors. Our testimony is not to be less decided now than formerly; our real position is not to be cloaked in order to please the world’s great men. They may desire us to unite with them and accept their plans, and may make propositions in regard to our course of action which may give the enemy an advantage over us.” Selected Messages, Book 2, 372
John says
“Shall this power, whose record for a thousand years is written in the blood of the saints, be now acknowledged as a part of the church of Christ?” GC 571. According to all we are seeing, the church’s reply to this question is a resounding, yes, let mutual love continue.

What say you Pastors of The Seventh Day Adventist Churches? Stand Up and Speak Up IN THE NAME OF JESUS !!!!!!
Teresa Hurd says
Amen!
Dee says
Our answer to this dilemma is found in the same book PP401.2 where it says “Yet God in His great mercy made a distinction between the leaders in rebellion and those whom they had led. The people who had permitted themselves to be deceived were still granted space for repentance….Jesus, the Angel who went before the Hebrews, sought to save them from destruction. Forgiveness was lingering for them. The judgment of God had come very near, and appealed to them to repent. A special, irresistible interference from heaven had arrested their rebellion. Now, if they would respond to the interposition of Gods providence, they might be saved.” The message of mercy given in 1888 applies today for each of us whether the issue involves religious groups or civil government leadership.

Is sad to read some of the phrases in this article and some of the phrases in the comments.
Some examples that reveal that we are jumping into conclusions:
“Let’s not pretend Ted Wilson is unaware of the information contained in the book “Let Mutual Love Continue.”
Maybe Ted has not read the book. Is a busy person and maybe is more worried about preaching the gospel and distributing the great controversy than reading this book. Moreover, maybe Casely Essamuach give him for the first time as a gift. I use the word maybe because I cannot affirm with infallibility anything. But the tone of the article is like you are infallible and know everything.
Let me tell you an experience: when I was in a youth congress in Poland many years ago, at the opening ceremony were invited the major of the city and other personalities, like two catholic priests. Then they received an Adventist book as a gift. So this events that you call ecumenical without base, can be an opportunity to spread our message.
In this article, we can read the phrase “ecumenical lunch”. It will be ecumenical if they are reunited to sign ecumenical agreements. For me, I think people of another faiths were invited to the opening ceremony and then they ate together. If you are eating with persons of other religions, that fact doesn’t convert you into an ecumenical person. What converts you into ecumenical is signing agreements that violate our fundamental beliefs. So calling this an ecumenical lunch is jumping again into conclusions.
You say also in the article “the leadership’s unwillingness to be open and transparent about their ecumenical activities”. I think they are being totally transparent in the sense that they don’t have had this lunch in secret. If taking lunch with a person from a different faith is an ecumenical activity I dare that even the writer of this article is ecumenical because at some point in his life he has shared a meal with friends or relatives from other faiths.
Finally i will share a quote from the comments that say: He knew he had an ecumenical lunch ahead but at the same time portrayed himself to be on the side of the church. I can’t trust him anymore.”
I repeat that is not an ecumenical lunch because they are not signing any agreement that violates our faith. This person is telling in other words that Ted Wilson is showing two faces. I tell this person that if Ted Wilson was really ecumenical, he wouldn’t advise us in his preachings about the emergent church or ecumenism and not distribute the great controversy as he has done and the general conference is planning to do in the following years. Please think before writing some kind of comments. You are not infallible.

My dear sister I agree that in certain areas the church has taken various stances in not pushing ecumenism but in other areas it has lapsed speaking between both sides of the mouth. In so doing they have placed us in a position of compromise.
We have to not see what is said but what has been done. The entire Old testament is full of proof that Israel kept apostatizing. Is it any different for us? Many times well intentioned leaders have caused many to ere. In the Great Controversy it tells us not to put trust in the leadership, in the chapter of “The Scriptures a Safeguard” Our salvation is only dependant on Christ. We must be wary and exercise discernment. Read Jeremiah 7. Be blessed beloved of Our heavenly Father and His most blessed son.
