Our World is in Serious Trouble when the Church Can No Longer Define What a Woman Is

Many churches have fallen victim to the culture wars. We are seeing the death of western civilization as one church after another chooses to echo the message of the world. The church has a God-given responsibility to be the conscience of the nations. We are to present biblical truth and solutions to the current countercultural revolution. But instead, a lot of people are spiraling downward and are rapidly compromising their morals. Jesus predicted that this faith crisis would take place at the end of the world. Jesus prophesied that many would give up and stop demonstrating genuine faith. He asked the following question as a warning for our day:

“Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?” Luke 18:8.

The Church of England (Anglican Church) can no longer tell you what a woman is. They have gone on record to say that they do not have an “official definition” of what a woman is. One Christian group described this crisis in the following way:

The issue of defining what a woman is came up when Adam Kendry, a lay member of the General Synod, the church’s legislative body, and a representative of the Royal Navy, asked: “What is the Church of England’s definition of a woman?” The question reflects the ongoing push by LGBTQ activists on British politics and society, an agenda that is also unfolding on a broad scale in the U.S. as well. In his written response, Dr. Robert Innes, the church’s Bishop in Europe since 2014, said: “There is no official definition, which reflects the fact that until fairly recently definitions of this kind were thought to be self-evident, as reflected in the marriage liturgy.” But Innes added that there are now “complexities associated with gender identity” and pointed to the need for “additional care” even though the church continues its opposition to same-sex weddings.  As CBN News has previously reported, the Church of England has allowed women to serve as bishops since 2014. [1]

 This is what occurs when churches choose worldly popularity over remaining true to their mission. The Church of England used to know what a woman was because it began ordaining women. Now, all of a sudden, they no longer know what a woman is. They are saying this in order to appease the radical LGBT+ movement. What has become of our churches when they are afraid to state the obvious?

This demonstrates that this generation rejects not only the biblical account of creation but also God’s original plan for men and women. According to Genesis 1:27, God made two sexes, “male and female.” Then, in Genesis 2:22–24, God made a “woman” and gave her to “the man” to be his “wife.” Later, in Genesis 3:16, God told the “woman” that her pain in “childbearing” would be increased.

So, according to the Bible, a woman is a biological adult female whose sex is determined by her anatomy, chromosomes, and capacity for pregnancy and childbearing. A man is an adult biological male who is her opposite and whose sex is also based on anatomy, chromosomes, and the ability to impregnate a woman. The fact that these sexes cannot be reversed or changed means that a man cannot get pregnant and a woman cannot impregnate a man. Biology, science, and reality played a role in sex when God created man and woman.

On the other hand, gender identity is a new human social construct and it is based on personal perception and is subject to change depending on how people feel at the time. Currently, in the ever growing list of genders, there are over 100 gender identities. [2] “Transgender” is a dissatisfaction with the biological sex people were born with. So they choose to identify differently. Now we are being told that your feelings determine your identity. If you feel like a man, then you are a man, and vice versa. Others are saying that there are no differences between male and female, and if there were, it wouldn’t matter anyway. Whenever the definition of men and women are determined by self-perception, this means that they can change from one day to the next.

We don’t want those who embrace the radical gender theory to work in our plumbing, electrical, energy, construction, infrastructure, or sewage industries because they wouldn’t know what to do about male and female pipes and fittings. In fact, those who support the LGBT+ agenda and urge us to reject the binary biblical view of male and female, believe in and support the male (pin) and female (hole) connectors frequently used to plug in electronic devices like iPhones. You embrace the male/female connection system each time you plug something into an outlet or recharge your smartphone battery. Any socket with holes is referred to as a “female connector,” and any plug with prongs at the end is referred to as a “male connector.” Our world, including nature, uses a binary system. It is not fluid, changing, or based on perception. Two female connectors will not recharge your iPhone. Even our children know that.

The Church of England has embraced this insane, deranged ideological poison, as have many other organizations that claim to be Christian. They are denying God’s truth to their churches and communities, which implies that God can no longer use them or anyone else who is too afraid to stand up for truth.

Our entire society has been affected by this insanity, as have many churches. The church does not have the right to embrace the message of the world. However, churches are tragically compromising their moral principles in order to appease influential cultural and lobby groups. To avoid having to stand against the corrupt culture of our day, they submit to the wealthy and powerful.

“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron.” 1 Timothy 4:1, 2.

When a purportedly Christian organization that claims to believe in the Bible starts to argue that it has no definition of a woman, what they are really saying is that they are not going to say because they are too afraid of offending LGBT+ activists and being labeled as bigots. Because they don’t want any controversy, they support the transgender ideology that has become so pervasive.

“I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” 2 Timothy 4:1-4.
