In this 2 minute video Pope Francis is promoting the coming “One-World Religion” in all its glory. Buddhism, Judaism, Roman Catholicism and Islam are all one because they are all the “children of God.” This is the message of Pope Francis. He places all four religions on equal footing. Four symbols representing each faith are presented together at the end of the Pope’s video.
To the modern interfaith movement this video is very appealing. However, there is absolutely no indication in the Pope’s message that Buddhists, Muslims or Jews need to embrace Jesus or accept His death on the cross and mediation in heaven as an atonement for sin. The impression left by Pope Francis is that these non-Christian faiths are basically good because they have “love” and that’s about all they need to meet the needs of fallen man.
This is the photo at the end of the Pope’s video. “And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols?” 2 Corinthians 6:16.
We shouldn’t needlessly offend or despise other peoples’ deeply held beliefs, but we also shouldn’t distort the gospel of Christ in an attempt to please the carnal hearts of sinful man. And whenever we talk about love – the most loving thing we can ever do is tell others about Jesus. We must reject this ecumenical, non-biblical notion that somehow people don’t need to be converted with the everlasting gospel of Jesus Christ.
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6.
“I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.” John 8:24.
“He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.” Mark 16:16.
“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.” John 3:36.
“You shall have no other gods before Me.” Exodus 20:3.
“Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.” Isaiah 45:22.
“And go not after other gods to serve them, and to worship them, and provoke me not to anger with the works of your hands; and I will do you no hurt.” Jeremiah 25:6.
“For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.” Psalm 96:5.
Tragically, the most important criteria is being rejected by the modern ecumenical movement. Jesus is God incarnate. Jesus is truth. Jesus is love. Jesus is peace. And Jesus is not the same God of the Jew, the Muslim or the Buddhist. He is the Lamb of God who was slain for our sins – by which those who receive Christ through faith are reconciled once again into the favor of God. This is the truth that the church of the living God is to transmit to the whole world (Matthew 24:14).
Make no mistake; this is no conspiracy theory. The above video is the promulgation of a “One World Religion.” This abominable, anti-gospel, anti-Christian spectacle is the working of Rome. This is exalting false deities to the same level of Jesus. This is what is being pushed upon the world through the false ecumenical spirit of “peace, love and unity.”
