We live in a world that deceives us. Many fatal errors go unnoticed because they appear to be harmless. The most dangerous errors are those that appear in the guise of truth and righteousness after attempting to negate the truth of heaven. To use a more familiar figure, the worst of all wolves are those who come to us dressed as sheep.
On February 11, 2022, Pope Francis called for the need for a “new evangelization,” inviting the world to prepare for the coming Jubilee of 2025. Pope Francis noted that the “Jubilee” celebration has “always been an event of great spiritual, ecclesial, and social significance in the life of the Church.” [1] What is included in the Pope’s plans to prepare for this Jubilee? Ending historic divisions among Christians, promoting his universal fraternity, embarking on a “shared journey” with others through “harmonious diversity,” advancing the Second Vatican Council’s goals, and “building up the one Church.” [1]
These were some of the goals for the near future of our world. This is regrettably taking place right now in front of our eyes. These policies are in effect right now, and they will continue to receive increased attention in the days ahead. In part, Pope Francis said:
“The Great Jubilee of the year 2000 ushered the Church into the third millennium of her history. Saint John Paul II had long awaited and greatly looked forward to that event, in the hope that all Christians, putting behind their historical divisions, could celebrate together the two thousandth anniversary of the birth of Jesus Christ, the Saviour of humanity.”
“This will indeed be the case if we are capable of recovering a sense of universal fraternity.”
“In this regard, our pilgrimage towards the Jubilee will express and confirm the shared journey that the Church is called to make, in order to be ever more fully a sign and instrument of unity in harmonious diversity.”
“It will be important to foster a renewed awareness of the demands of the universal call to responsible participation by enhancing the charisms and ministries that the Holy Spirit never ceases to bestow for the building up of the one Church.”
“The four Constitutions of the Second Vatican Ecumenical Council, together with the Magisterium of these recent decades, will continue to provide direction and guidance to God’s holy people.”
“Promoting the new evangelization can help make this season of grace a significant stimulus to the pastoral outreach of the particular Churches.”
“As is customary, the Bull of Indiction, to be issued in due course, will contain the necessary guidelines for celebrating the Jubilee of 2025.” [1]
At first glance, asking for all religions to unite may appear admirable and honorable. On the other hand, aiding in the work of uniting what Christ is attempting to separate is actually going against God’s will. Any movement that contradicts the clear teaching of Scripture should not be supported or endorsed. There is no doubt that ignoring the truth, mixing the religions, and attempting to merge the churches with politics will only serve to further a negative and troubling future scenario.
This is, in fact, an attempt to hijack God’s faithful people by leading them into a movement that is contrary to God’s will. We know where the movement for church unity will lead. Those who refuse to worship the beast, his mark, and his image will be persecuted as a result of this. Pope Francis wants to build a unified religious society based on the enforcement of Babylon’s wine, or her false teachings.
“The great sin charged against Babylon is that she ‘made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.’ This cup of intoxication which she presents to the world, represents the false doctrines that she has accepted as the result of her unlawful connection with the great ones of the earth. Friendship with the world corrupts her faith, and in her turn she exerts a corrupting influence upon the world by teaching doctrines which are opposed to the plainest statements of Holy Writ” (Great Controversy, p. 388).
This system will be in opposition to the God of heaven, as described in Revelation 13, 17, and 18. The ultimate goal is to undo God’s work and thwart His plans to save humanity. The freedom to believe or follow one’s conscience will be violated by forced worship during the mark of the beast crisis, and people’s minds will be confused by drinking Rome’s spiritual wine. Those whose minds have been confused by human traditions, false principles, and worldly theories are in no way prepared to make decisions that affect their spiritual life and determine their eternal destiny.
In general, the watchmen on the walls of modern Zion have failed to sound the fearful warnings of Revelation 14, and the blood of lost souls will be required at their hands (Ezekiel 33:8). To all those who refuse to give the warning messages contained in Revelation, the following denunciation will apply:
“And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.” Revelation 22:19.
Thanks to the ecumenical movement, men and women are taking away from the words of the book of this prophecy by failing to proclaim the warning of the fall of modern Babylon and the need to come out. As a result, their names will be erased from the book of life and they will be denied access to the Holy City of God. It’s a terrible thing to ignore or reject any message from heaven:
“The greatest want of this age is the want of men,—men who will not be bought or sold; men who are true and honest in their inmost souls; men who will not fear to call sin by its right name, and to condemn it, in themselves or in others; men whose conscience is as true to duty as the needle to the pole; men who will stand for the right, though the heavens fall” (Signs of the Times, May 4, 1882).
