“For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.” 2 Corinthians 11:13-14.
The Vatican’s interfaith movement is sweeping through churches and denominations worldwide. It is presented as a noble effort to promote cooperation and calls for Christians and even other faiths to unite. But beneath its surface lies a strategy rooted in deception, designed to mislead countless souls into a captivity called spiritualism—all under the control of Rome.
Vatican News published the Pope’s appeal on December 31, 2024, in which everyone is invited to embrace the same hope and vocation—to be pilgrims on the path to fraternity:
• “Pope Francis has led the Church in giving thanks to God for the blessings of 2024.” [1]
• “On the eve of 2025, the Holy Father recalled the extensive works that Rome has seen this past year in preparation for the Jubilee. These works, valuable in themselves, are especially significant insofar as they correspond to Rome’s particular vocation to welcome everyone so that everyone might recognize themselves as a son or daughter of God and as brothers and sisters of one another.” [1]
• “The hope of the world lies in fraternity,’ Pope Francis proclaimed, while expressing his joy that the City of Rome has in recent months been preparing to welcome men and women from all over the world, including not only Catholics but ‘other Christians; believers in every religion, and seekers of truth, freedom, justice, and peace – all pilgrims of hope and fraternity.” [1]
• “The Holy Father concluded his homily with the prayer that Mary, our holy Mother, might help us to walk together, as pilgrims of hope, on the path of fraternity.” [1]
Pope Francis uses the language of peace and love to appeal to our natural desire for harmony. However, the call for unity comes at the expense of doctrinal purity by calling people to allow Mary to help us walk together. He pressures Protestants to set aside biblical truths to embrace spiritualism, Sunday sacredness, the Eucharist, and other man-made traditions that are based on the authority of the Roman Catholic Church. This is not the unity of Christ; it is the false unity of Babylon.
For centuries, the Papacy has sought to dominate the religious and political powers of the world. From the days of the Holy Inquisition and the Council of Trent, the Vatican has used both force and diplomacy to bring all under its authority. Through the ecumenical movement, the same goal is still being pursued today under the guise of “fraternity.” Pope Francis, claiming to be the universal head of Christendom, invites all denominations to the table—but only on his terms. Rome seeks for all to give allegiance to its traditions and teachings, effectively making all participants subject to its rule.
The ultimate goal of the ecumenical movement is the reunification of all Christendom, something that Bible prophecy has already warned us about. In Revelation 17, a harlot woman is described as sitting on many waters, symbolizing a global religious system aligned with political power. The Vatican’s efforts to unite all religions under its influence are a fulfillment of this prophecy. Under the guise of peace and tolerance, the ecumenical movement is preparing the world for Rome’s one-world religion, where the true Gospel is distorted and the true followers of Christ are persecuted for denouncing the sins of Babylon and warning people to reject its teachings.
We must heed the warnings of Scripture and be vigilant against this deception. Unity is a beautiful thing when it is grounded in the truth of God’s Word, but the ecumenical movement is a counterfeit. It seeks to bring us under the control of a system that opposes the authority of Scripture and exalts man-made traditions over the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Let us stand firm, boldly proclaiming God’s truth and resisting the allure of false unity.
“And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.” Revelation 18:1-5.

The Pope is “the Dope of the World”, from what he wears to what he says and does. If Catholics would read the only Protestant Bible (the KJV) and
depend on the Holy Ghost as their teacher they would know this and leave this large cult. (This advice is also for the little cults like JWs, SDAs, Mormons, and more.) Catholicism is simply a false religion and everyone associated with it are deceived. (Again, the same can be said of the little cults.) They are blind (and often arrogant, as all cults are) because they refuse to see and use God-given common sense. The old saying is true, “You can lead a horse to water but you cannot make them drink”. It appears that disappointment in their teachings of last day events that do not come true may open the eyes of some, but many learn the hard way with much loss of time and money that could be used in promoting the true gospel worldwide. Famous last words for many will be, “I should have but I didn’t…” The devil laughs at the folly of all cult members because he knows they
are all deceived and don’t even know it. How sad and true! It’s time to wake up and follow Jesus and not the Pope, Ellen White, or false shepherds.
