“And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.” Revelation 9:19.
Prophecy tells us that the beast is gathering “together” an army to wage war against the truth, against God, and against His people. Pope Francis invited people to a great ecumenical gathering called “Together,” in which Protestants, Catholics, and Orthodox joined one another for prayer and worship and to get on the path to unity. This historic gathering took place on September 30, 2023, in Rome. [1] Pope Francis is working to unite all Christians together into one body. This is being done, which will fulfill Rome’s ultimate objective—to repudiate the Constitution and promote papal falsehoods.
“When Protestantism shall stretch her hand across the gulf to grasp the hand of the Roman power, when she shall reach over the abyss to clasp hands with spiritualism, when, under the influence of this threefold union, our country shall repudiate every principle of its Constitution as a Protestant and republican government, and shall make provision for the propagation of papal falsehoods and delusions, then we may know that the time has come for the marvelous working of Satan and that the end is near” (Testimonies, vol. 5, p. 451).
Here we see Pope Francis and Protestantism working together to usher in religious unity throughout the world. According to prophecy, this is exactly what will happen in the final days of human history.
“And he [Protestant America] exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast [Rome].” Revelation 13:12.
Hundreds of leaders from churches from all around the world came to Vatican City to pay homage to the man of sin. Rome’s concept of “together” is not designed to seek God’s will by searching the Scriptures, repentance, heart-searching confession, and putting away sin. No. These gatherings are designed to cover up and eliminate centuries-old doctrinal divisions between Protestants and Catholics. Their purpose is to obtain a mere external unity, not a unity in the truth. They came to pray, worship, and hear the Pope’s message.
Pope Francis expressed the following in his address to the ecumenical gathering:
“‘Together. Like the early Christian community on the Day of Pentecost. Like one flock, loved and gathered by one Shepherd, Jesus. Like the great crowd in the Book of Revelation we are here, brothers and sisters ‘from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages’ (Rev 7:9), from different communities and countries, daughters and sons of the same Father, inspired by the Spirit received in baptism, and called to the same hope.” [2]
“With great affection, I greet the Heads of Churches, the leaders and delegations of the different Christian traditions and all of you, especially the young people: thank you for coming to pray for us and with us, in Rome… let us walk together, not only Catholics, but all Christians, all of the baptized, the whole People of God, because only the whole can be the unity of all.” [2]
Below is the complete list [3] of participants representing Protestants, Evangelicals, Pentecostals, Orthodox, Jesuits, and all those who attended the ecumenical event in Rome. Despite the fact that the Seventh-day Adventist Church is not directly mentioned in the list of participating organizations, Adventists were represented by the ecumenical organizations listed below in red because we actively participate in those bodies.

“And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.” Revelation 16:16.
What is going on in the Protestant world today? Can we not see with our own eyes that this gathering together is a fulfillment of Bible prophecy? As Protestants turn back to join together with the “mother church” in Rome, it will soon bring us to the greatest crisis this world has ever seen.
“When the leading churches of the United States, uniting upon such points of doctrine as are held by them in common, shall influence the state to enforce their decrees and to sustain their institutions, then Protestant America will have formed an image of the Roman hierarchy, and the infliction of civil penalties upon dissenters will inevitably result” (The Great Controversy, p. 445).
Protestantism and Rome are working hand in hand for a closer and more intimate cooperation. Religious ecumenism seems to be the top priority for world leaders. What the world fails to see is that when all the churches begin to unite into one, these efforts to bring peace and harmony will result in tyranny and persecution. Pope Francis is creating a religious and political climate that will bring about the final scenes of earth’s history. Everyone seems to believe that the Pope’s ecumenical worship services are being done in order to make the world a safer and better place. What is actually being done is that the final scenes depicted in the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy are coming to pass.
“Those who honor the Bible Sabbath will be denounced as enemies of law and order, as breaking down the moral restraints of society, causing anarchy and corruption, and calling down the judgments of God upon the earth” (Great Controversy, p. 592).
“There will come a time when, because of our advocacy of Bible truth, we shall be treated as traitors” (Testimonies, Vol. 6, p. 394).
Because we are living in dangerous times, we thank God for the Three Angels’ Messages of Revelation 14 and for the blessed hope of the Lord’s soon coming. God’s prophetic word has warned us of man’s futile schemes and attempts at converting and uniting the world into one ecumenical body. But we know the end of such plans. The coming of the Lord is the only hope this world has. May we obey God’s commands and carry this final warning to all the world, and then Christ will come and put an end to sin and heal the universe.

Believe all SDA’s should make The history of the Waldenses their personal study,
They were blessed of God with Truth, were horribly persecuted, now they keep Sunday and join in with their ecumenical councils,
Sadly though so are Seventh Day Adventists.
