After returning from his trip to Canada, Pope Francis resumed his general audiences at the Vatican on August 3, 2022. The Pope focused on his aims and accomplishments during his visit and once again asked for forgiveness “for the harm done” by Christians and “Catholics,” “priests, men and women, religious and laypeople” who engaged in behavior that is “unacceptable and also contrary to the Gospel.” [1]
The Pope then moved on to the most crucial component of his trip: promoting harmony with the planet and with every belief system. The Vatican made public the Pope’s remarks. The Pope said:
• Together we remembered: the good memory of the thousand-year history of these peoples, in harmony with their land. This is one of the most beautiful things about the indigenous peoples, their harmony with the land. They never mistreat creation, never. In harmony with the land. [1]
• It is therefore a matter of recovering a healthy balance, to recover harmony, which is more than balance, it is something else; to recover harmony between modernity and ancestral cultures, between secularization and spiritual values. And this directly addresses the mission of the Church, sent all over the world to bear witness to and “sow” a universal fraternity that respects and promotes the local dimension with its multiple riches (cf. Encyclical Letter Fratelli Tutti, 142-153). [1]
• May the fortitude and pacific action of the indigenous peoples of Canada be an example for all originary peoples not to close themselves up, but to offer their indispensable contribution for a more fraternal humanity, that knows how to love creation and the Creator, in harmony with creation, in harmony between you all. [1]
Harmony with the land; harmony with ancestral cultures; harmony with modernity; harmony with secularization; harmony with spiritual values; harmony with local dimensions; harmony with multiple riches. Does God want us to be in harmony with nature worship, paganism, and false gods? Is God calling us to unite the different religions, cultures, or contradictory schools of thought into one perfect harmony? Of course not. God has called us to evangelize and preach the everlasting gospel of Revelation 14 to every nation, kindred, tongue, and people.
The Pope’s remarks are sweet and enticing, yet they are laced with serious doctrinal error. The Pope’s message undermines our Christian faith and duty. All true believers must reject such teachings. Assuming that all faiths are in harmony and must be embraced is not only wrong, but it also invites Satan into the church. If Rome seeks harmony with all beliefs, then every other faith that joins Rome is also opening their doors to Satan. In fact, the Pope-led universal fraternity is leading people to the worship of the dragon, which is Satan:
“And they worshipped the dragon (Satan) which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?” Revelation 13:4
“And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world.” Revelation 12:9.
Why would any sincere Christian participate in the worship of the dragon through the Pope’s counterfeit worldwide communion, which combines truth and error, light and darkness, right and wrong, and Christ with devils? They are advocating for global harmony that extends beyond ideas, beliefs, and biblical teachings. Adventists have no justification for participating in this. Seventh-day Adventist leaders have been involved with the modern ecumenical movement for years, and it is becoming clearer by the day that Rome’s interfaith unity movement is committed to spreading diabolical heresies.
God’s response to all of this is contained in Revelation 14:8 and 18:4, 5. These are two wonderful messages that must be sounded from one end of the earth to the other:
“And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.” Revelation 14:8.
“And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.” Revelation 18:4, 5.
This is what God’s people must proclaim boldly. Rome’s global, political, and religious empire is broken and filled with error because they are intoxicating the world with the wine of Babylon, false doctrines. God will not accept this counterfeit worship because it contradicts His Holy Word.
“And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God: For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.” Revelation 19:1, 2.
