AdventHealth and North American Division President G. Alexander Bryant have commented on the church’s support of the Broadway production show “Wicked.” However, be careful not to get your hopes up. Tragically, nothing will change, no one will take responsibility, and the church’s sponsorship of this heinous show will go on in 2023.
Back on October 31, 2022, we published an exposé revealing how AdventHealth, a Seventh-day Adventist church-owned healthcare system, was financially sponsoring the blockbuster Broadway production “Wicked,” which includes witches, dragons, demons, wizards, and a goat teacher (Baphomet). [1] We also demonstrated how this blasphemous, demon-glorifying production is scheduled to be played both on Friday nights and Saturday afternoons at the Walt Disney Theater located inside the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. No matter how many excuses church leaders offer, God will never support our church’s decision to financially sponsor a show about witches and demons that people will be paying to see on the Sabbath.
President G. Alexander Bryant did respond to the many of you who wrote to him with your concerns. We will share with you what he said about it and the letter that AdventHealth shared with him outlining their justification for endorsing such an evil production.
The response that Maricel Pascual, Executive Assistant to the President of the North American Division, has been sending out is provided below. Maricel Pascual is sending these out on behalf of President G. Alexander Bryant. The message from President Brant will be displayed first, followed by the letter from AdventHealth that was sent as an attachment to the NAD’s email:

Subject: AdventHealth’s Sponsorship
To: [redacted]Dear Brother/Sister in Christ,
Thank you for reaching out to us and for your interest and concern regarding AdventHealth, headquartered in Orlando, Florida.
It is important to recognize that the North American Division does not have governance over any of the Adventist healthcare systems operating in the NAD, nor does the president of the NAD serve as the chairman of their Board of Trustees. This oversight is provided by the Unions in which the health systems operate.
Please be assured that the North American Division remains committed to the teachings and values of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and encourages all entities who carry our name to do the same. Let us continue to pray together that God’s Spirit will be poured out on His Church.
Below is a letter from AdventHealth to the members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church regarding the issue that you have cited.
Thank you for your continued commitment and support to the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Have a joyful and blessed holiday season!
Sincerely,
Alexander Bryant, DMin
President
North American Division of Seventh-day Adventists
Here we see the North American Division shifting all the responsibility for the church’s involvement with witches to the local Union. President Bryant basically says that it’s not his problem and that this situation is out of his jurisdiction, even though he is the top Seventh-day Adventist in North America. In other words, this witchcraft show that is being financially sponsored and promoted by the church here in North America is not his responsibility or concern. He tells people that they have to talk to the Union, not the Division, even though the Unions are under his jurisdiction.
So, according to President Bryant, he has nothing to do with what AdventHealth does. Really? Is AdventHealth not within his scope of governance? Does President Bryant really have nothing to do with AdventHealth, despite the fact that he recently visited AdventHealth’s headquarters and made a commitment to collaborate with them? The two organizations will team up on a “shared vision” for the future as a result of President Bryant’s recent “Together in Mission” alliance with AdventHealth. [2] But even so, President Bryant claims he is not really involved, so he can’t talk to us or do anything about AdventHealth.
That was his personal response to the witches’ program called “Wicked.” This, ladies and gentlemen, is coming from the man who is in charge of the work in North America. Brothers and sisters, no God-fearing pastor would make such a politically correct statement. That is what politicians do, not pastors. This is what you call “side-stepping the issue” and not being willing to get involved or do anything. Instead of saying what God says about witchcraft and Sabbath-breaking, he says he has nothing to do with AdventHealth. In God’s eyes, the cover-up is just as bad as the crime.
Why can’t our leaders simply state that witchcraft is against God’s will and that we shouldn’t participate in it? Why doesn’t President Bryant just come out and say that he doesn’t agree with these corporate sponsorships and that he will speak with AdventHealth about it given that he just met with the President of AdventHealth on October 6, 2022, and given that he just formed an alliance with AdventHealth for future mission unity? Why are church leaders unable to provide these assurances to church members?
President G. Alexander Bryant made the following statement:
“Please be assured that the North American Division remains committed to the teachings and values of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and encourages all entities who carry our name to do the same” (email above).
How exactly is the North American Division committed to teaching the values of the church? What exactly does that mean? When witchcraft is supported, funded, and promoted within the North American Division, what will the NAD actually do to uphold and defend our values? What is President Bryant going to do, besides merely saying that he will continue to uphold our church values? He just said he wasn’t going to do anything. He just said it was neither his obligation nor his responsibility. How is doing nothing upholding our values and encouraging others to do the same?
The letter from AdventHealth that G. Alexander Bryant is sending out isn’t any better.
AdventHealth’s Executive Director for External Communication, Garrett Caldwell, DMin prepared a statement for concerned members. The letter stated:
Dear Concerned Church member, Thank you for your inquiry regarding AdventHealth’s sponsorship of Broadway in Orlando series.
As the major healthcare provider in Central Florida, AdventHealth believes it is important to have a brand presence in the community where people live, work, and play. Our goal is to influence decisions that can impact health before community members come to us for medical treatment.
Community presence builds community trust. Therefore, it is very important for AdventHealth to be actively involved in a wide variety of community events that we do not control.
Sponsorship agreements do not empower AdventHealth to control schedules for activities taking place in those venues, nor should they be seen as an endorsement of the content.
AdventHealth is very clearly known to be a faith-based institution that provides care for the physical, mental, and spiritual health of our communities. We continue to solicit the prayerful support of our Seventh-day Adventist family worldwide as we carry forward our mission of Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ.
Sincerely,
Garrett Caldwell, DMin
Executive Director External Communications
AdventHealth
Financially sponsoring witchcraft should not be seen as an endorsement of the content? This statement defies belief. AdventHealth is paying a lot of money to be associated with these events, but we are not supposed to see this as an endorsement? That’s what sponsorships mean. This is an act of supporting an event or events with your money. In fact, when Disney and other worldly corporations take money from AdventHealth for these sponsorships, they use that money to continue funding their witchcraft productions. But somehow, the NAD is sending out a letter written by AdventHealth saying that when they financially sponsor witchcraft events, they are not actually endorsing those same events. This is beyond comprehension, unless, of course, they think we are all a bunch of ignorant imbeciles.
What a blatant attempt to grossly mislead concerned church members! What a desperate attempt at trying to protect their reputation! AdventHealth wants you to think that it is giving a lot of money so that their name can be associated with these witchcraft events, but we shouldn’t interpret this as an “endorsement” of what Disney and others are doing, even if the money is going to fund ongoing witchcraft productions.
How else are we supposed to interpret this? Why doesn’t AdventHealth just come out and publicly state that they oppose the witchcraft depicted in the Broadway show “Wicked”? They can’t say that because that’s what their sponsorship money is going to support. How do you fund something financially and then say, “We don’t support it”?
Then AdventHealth says, “Well, we don’t get to choose what kind of programming will be played at the Walt Disney Theater located inside the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts; we just pay to market our name brand at their events.” AdventHealth and Disney have been partners for more than 20 years, and they still don’t know Disney by now? Do they not know that Disney has a long history with witchcraft? Are they really in the dark? Is this a big surprise and shock for them? Of course it’s not. They know, and they are aware of much more than they are letting on. They just think that we are all a bunch of simpletons who are gullible enough to believe whatever excuses they can come up with for damage control.
AdventHealth concludes by asking, “How else will the community trust us if we don’t have a community presence?” That is how they describe their corporate partnerships to Seventh-day Adventist Church members. In other words, “How else can people trust us if we don’t sponsor witchcraft shows on God’s holy Sabbath hours?” This is complete nonsense because it implies that in order for the public to trust us, we must violate God’s Sabbath and promote spiritualism. Who are these men who would say such things?
The bottom line is that church and ministry leaders have a responsibility to set an example for the rest of the congregation. We need leaders who will also set an example for society. Young church members will see what AdventHealth is doing and say, “Well, if we want the community to trust us, let’s also have a community presence in the local nightclub, the bars, or the casinos.” The same “community presence” argument offered by AdventHealth can be used to defend entering any sinful establishment of pleasure anywhere in the world. Instead of inventing numerous justifications, the church should heed the following commands:
“And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.” Ephesians 5:11.
“Abstain from all appearance of evil.” 1 Thessalonians 5:22.
Witchcraft is not an appearance of evil; it is evil. And God’s word says, “No.” King Saul lost his life for having a “community presence” with witches (1 Samuel 28) and for participating in the same abomination that AdventHealth is committing. The North American Division and AdventHealth would be well advised to stop playing games and politics with this extremely dangerous issue. Adventists must refrain from sponsoring witchcraft in all its forms.
Witchcraft is evil. It is sin. It is a temptation. And millions will be lost because of this abomination that AdventHealth is involved in. Any church leader who acts hesitantly or ambiguously regarding witchcraft is not acting in a normal manner. Furthermore, making excuses for this grave error or turning a blind eye to this evil will have present, ongoing, and eternal consequences:
“While others try to throw a cloak over the existing evil, and excuse the great wickedness everywhere prevalent, those who have a zeal for God’s honor and a love for souls will not hold their peace to obtain favor of any. Their righteous souls are vexed day by day with the unholy works and conversation of the unrighteous. They are powerless to stop the rushing torrent of iniquity, and hence they are filled with grief and alarm. They mourn before God to see religion despised in the very homes of those who have had great light. They lament and afflict their souls because pride, avarice, selfishness, and deception of almost every kind are in the church. The Spirit of God, which prompts to reproof, is trampled underfoot, while the servants of Satan triumph. God is dishonored, the truth made of none effect” (Testimonies, vol. 5, p. 210).
“When existing evils are not met and checked, because men have too little courage to reprove wrong, or because they have too little interest or are too indolent to tax their own powers in putting forth earnest efforts to purify the family or the church of God, they are accountable for the evil which may result in consequence of neglect to do their duty” (Testimonies, vol. 4, p. 516).

The various levels of the GCC, top down, have been calling good evil and evil good for many years now, either sending out auto response letters else ignoring the valid concerns of it’s membership and continuing to go their own way with their new foundation, new pillars, and their redefining of our Father God and His only begotten Son, Jesus. I left the modern day official organization years ago due to it’s course of rebellion to God’s Word. This is not the church I was led to believe it was. This is not my church. My church is that of the godly teachings of the pioneers of the SDA movement, and the saints that through the ages have walked in obedience to God and His commandments. Many people these days prefer to sit willfully ignorant in their pews ignoring the cries of the watchmen on the walls. Wake up, people.

I almost said to myself, “I can not believe what I am reading!” However, I can believe it! I have watched the church I joined 54 years ago become a church almost unrecognizable. We are no longer a distinct people. As I read the lame excuse from our NAD President and the one from Advent Health, I had to say, “The Church already appears as about to fall!” {LDE p 181} The good news is the Church will go through and those who profess the truth but don’t live it will be shaken out. God help the faithful to stand firm and not fail to call out the errors in the Church. If the Division has no jurisdiction and obviously the Unions and Conferences will not do anything, perhaps we need a complete overhaul of leadership.

The Sanhedrin never changed. Rome does not change. Anyone thinking that the SDA leaders will change has greater faith than me! Drama and greed
never change with some. That’s an amazing fact. It is sad when SDAs not only teach the state of the dead but practice it too! So who needs a resurrection
in all this nonsense? It should be a no-brainer.
Eric Doering says
Another thing that defies comprehension and belief is that upon coming into the knowledge of this endemic evil that pervades the SDA corporate system (which is no longer a church, but instead a business), that anyone would continue to associate themselves with the denomination. Is it not clear that the god which the Seventh-day Adventist church system serves is not the One True God of scripture? Can we not see the parallels between apostate Israel that served the false gods of the heathen nations surrounding them and the modern General Conference? Is it not painfully obvious that just as ancient Israel, and then later Judah, rejected the true God, then leaving Him no other choice than to reject them and leave their house desolate, that the very same thing has already happened again? Brother Andy Roman has presented the unending chain of apostacies and abominations being committed by the SDA denomination for years – isn’t clear yet that the SDA church has joined herself unto Babylon and has in fact now become a sister to Babylon. By continuing to faithfully present yourself every Sabbath at your local SDA denominational church, to pray for the church as the leadership requests, seeking for God to pour out his Holy Spirit upon her, can you not yet see that you are supporting the atrocities committed by the denomination merely by your presence? Read Early Writings 124.3
“I was shown the necessity of those who believe that we are having the last message of mercy, being separate from those who are daily imbibing new errors. I saw that neither young nor old should attend their meetings; for it is wrong to thus encourage them while they teach error that is a deadly poison to the soul and teach for doctrines the commandments of men. The influence of such gatherings is not good. If God has delivered us from such darkness and error, we should stand fast in the liberty wherewith He has set us free and rejoice in the truth. God is displeased with us when we go to listen to error, without being obliged to go; for unless He sends us to those meetings where error is forced home to the people by the power of the will, He will not keep us. The angels cease their watchful care over us, and we are left to the buffetings of the enemy, to be darkened and weakened by him and the power of his evil angels; and the light around us becomes contaminated with the darkness.” EW 124.3
Make no mistake – the only spirit that will be poured out upon an apostate people will be the spirit of the god they serve, Satan. We have been warned by Sister White of the false revivals (4SP Modern Revivals) that Satan will manifest just before the close of probation. If we dutifully follow the instructions given by the SDA denominational leadership, “stay in the ship, and pray for the church,” when the fruits are clearly showing the putrefied and unsalvageable state of the organization, then we will be deceived and will be caught up in the false revival.
It is past time to heed the call of the 2nd angel and come out of Babylon. Forsake the false god that the denomination serves and seek out the One True God of scripture, the same God that the founders of the Seventh-day Adventist movement served. Leave the corporate SDA denomination while opportunity still exists and become a true Seventh-day Adventist; the kind of Seventh-day Adventist that the founders were, who were led and instructed by the Holy Spirit of God the Father and his Son Jesus Christ. Become a member of the true church which is not made of bricks and mortar, nor of a tax exempt corporate entity, but is composed of the people that seek to keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
If instead of accepting the call to come out of this horrific, apostate, Babylonian mess, we instead choose to stay in Jerusalem (hopefully the parallel between Jerusalem of old and the modern SDA denomination is obvious – both were at one time God’s denominated people and both left him to serve another god), maybe with the seemingly virtuous intent of helping others understand the true condition of things and bring attention to the need for repentance and reformation, then please take the warning given by Sister White in the first chapter of the Spirit of Prophecy Volume 4 – The Destruction of Jerusalem, where she describes a man who for seven years gave the warning cry in the streets of Jerusalem of its eminent destruction, until finally he was destroyed together with all the other inhabitants at the siege of Titus. In contrast, the true followers of Christ, left Jerusalem during a moment of opportunity after they had witnessed the sign spoken of by Christ.
Brothers and Sisters, the abomination of desolation, or mixing of church and state, which is also to say the encompassing of Jerusalem (the church) by armies (state power), has already taken place in the spring of 2020. All churches in the world were forced by the government of this world to close down. Police and military were dispatched to ensure compliance and to haul away any that dared to defy the order. Most complied by virtue of their allegiance to the state power (SDA denomination as a case in point), while others complied out of fear of fines and reprisals. The effect was the same. If we refuse to recognize the sign and to flee, then regardless of how righteous your message may seem to be, you will be destroyed together with the apostate denomination because you failed to follow the instruction (commandments) given by God to come out of Babylon! I beg everyone to consider these points thoughtfully. We cannot know for a certainty when God’s judgement will follow, but note this point with care – three and one half years after the sign was given and the Christians fled from apostate Jerusalem, the second siege came. Then was the prophecy fulfilled that women would boil their own children for the great hunger in the land. Spring of 2020 (near Passover/Feast of Unleavened Bread) through the fall of 2023 (near the time of the holy convocations of Trumpets, Atonement, and Tabernacles) is three and one half years. Has the Lord given us warning? Undoubtedly. Have the warning events taken place? Very likely. Does the destruction of Jerusalem foreshadow an event to take place once again very near the close of time? We have been informed as such by Sister White. Does the timing of the first destruction inform us about the timing of the second? That’s for you to decide; what shouldn’t be in question is whether or not it will happen. I believe that it is upon us and that very soon, just as in the case of old Jerusalem, conditions will such that it may be very difficult to flee from Jerusalem. As noted before, this may come in the form of a false revival, or it may come in the form of some physical restraint – either way the time for escape will have passed.
God is permitting the signs to be made very clear to all who will look and then consider. What will your decision be? Obey God, or follow after men. I pray that all will choose obedience, for it is the only path to safety and salvation.
May the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ bless you and give you understanding to know what you must do in this time of great peril.

I couldn’t sleep Sabbath morning. The church I and my wife love, labored for and were cast out of in April due only to our 1889 Fundamental Principles belief of a true Father and a true Son with a correct interpretation of what a spirit is did actually begin becoming a daughter of the mother of harlots in 1980. We are becoming a creed bound church and therefore cannot receive the gifts of the spirit. I was at an Adventist church recently and it is being spoken from the pulpit to pray to the Holy Spirit! How far we have fallen! Please read all you can on the subject of who God is and who the Son of God is and what a Spirit is!!! This is the true gospel message.
Yes, even on Sabbath morning, I looked up the trademarked words/phrases on the Seventh-day Adventist Church and my brothers and sisters should know that in the same year (1980) the trinity was “voted” in during a General Conference in session replacing the One True God that defined us as an Adventist people, we also grasped the arm of flesh with the state. Ecumenism is always tied to the state. The triune god ties us to the fallen churches in ecumenical councils. I believe this US Patent and Trademark Office link should open for you. You must see for yourself. https://tmsearch.uspto.gov/bin/showfield?f=doc&state=4809:r2mppp.2.3
Seventh-day Adventists wake up! The shaking is here and where will you stand? Will you stand silent and “safe”? Or will you speak out against the sins in the camp? God’s church will come forth purified by truth.
Eric’s words are spot on! I scoffed when I first heard there were Adventists who didn’t believe in the trinity. But after fully studying it myself in the Bible, Spirit of Prophecy, early church history, Adventist church history, pagan sin worship, I am fully convinced our pioneer founders laid the correct foundation and we are supplying tithe to those tearing that foundation away. You must study and see that the omega is here and is of a most startling nature!!! Folks Satan is breathing his unholy spirit on the Corporate people!
The Holy Spirit of God has spoken through Eric… actually reverberated from the Father to the Son through the ministration of Angels through a man and to us, the church. Just like in Revelation 1. All things come from the Father through the Son.
May we all organize a true Seventh-day Adventist Church once again! Persecution is on the horizon so let’s not join hands with man this time. The church corporate is not going to reform. Ephraim is joined to idols, leave him alone.
I’m not so eloquent as Eric yet it is my prayer continually that God’s people will see that something is horribly wrong in the corporation and will evaluate carefully the root of our going astray. The people of this world deserve the right to a Loud Cry from a people with entire unanimity.

Brother Andy, thanks for calling evil, evil. This evil is so degrading to the SDA church. We must stand for what is right though the heavens fall. Many of our leaders are turning a blind eye to these atrocities. I will continue praying for our church and its leaders. It was not sorrow for sin, but fear of its penalty, that actuated the king of Israel as he entreated Samuel, “I pray thee, pardon my sin, and turn again with me, that I may worship the Lord.” If Saul had had true repentance, he would have made public confession of his sin; but it was his chief anxiety to maintain his authority and retain the allegiance of the people. Acts 19:1-20
And many that believed came, and confessed, and shewed their deeds. Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men. Acts 19:18, 19. CC 343.1
By burning their books on magic, the Ephesian converts showed that the things in which they had once delighted they now abhorred. It was by and through magic that they had especially offended God and imperiled their souls; and it was against magic that they showed such indignation…. By retaining these books the disciples would have exposed themselves to temptation; by selling them they would have placed temptation in the way of others. They had renounced the kingdom of darkness, and to destroy its power they did not hesitate at any sacrifice. Thus truth triumphed over men’s prejudices and their love of money…. The influence of what had taken place was more widespread than even Paul realized. From Ephesus the news was widely circulated, and a strong impetus was given to the cause of Christ. Long after the apostle himself had finished his course, these scenes lived in the memory of men and were the means of winning converts to the gospel. CC 343.2
It is fondly supposed that heathen superstitions have disappeared before the civilization of the twentieth century. But the word of God and the stern testimony of facts declare that sorcery is practiced in this age as verily as in the days of the old-time magicians. The ancient system of magic is, in reality, the same as what is now known as modern spiritualism. Satan is finding access to thousands of minds by presenting himself under the guise of departed friends…. CC 343.3
The magicians of heathen times have their counterpart in the spiritualistic mediums, the clairvoyants, and the fortunetellers of today…. Could the veil be lifted from before our eyes, we should see evil angels employing all their arts to deceive and to destroy. Wherever an influence is exerted to cause men to forget God, there Satan is exercising his bewitching power…. The apostle’s admonition to the Ephesian church should be heeded by the people of God today: “Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.”6 CC 343.4

I haven’t paid tithe to the church in about a year now.
This is one of many reasons that just remind of why. God gave me a brain and to give to an institution that has lost it’s way and is so out of touch with God, it’s mission and reality does not deserve it.
Suggestion to all of the pastors out there. I highly suggest that you learn a trade or something to make a living with before the systems come crashing down. God will provide for you but I have a funny feeling that the SDA Church is going to get a rude awaking here very soon and if that is your only income stream it going to be a rough ride.
Just my thoughts…..

I agree. I am praying about my personal continuous financial contribution to NAD. This is the only time I can do. Never do I want to associate with this.
Please continue spreading the word.

Seriously? Time to cancel it, who knows what they do with the tithes. I wonder if this is the first instance you’ve heard about, because there are several others. Time to Come Out!
The GC (or “GCC”, as they call themselves) is NOT God’s Church, it’s a corporation of big shots within the Seventh-day Adventist Church who have basically taken over & sidelined the Church’s mission (read “Pharisees”). I gave up on them 19 years ago & have sent tithes to independent ministries. I’m appalled yet grateful that we’re seeing some of their atrocious actions (don’t get me started on ecumenism). Ellen White finally had enough of them; nothing has changed.

I personally support Secrets Unsealed Ministry and Amazing Facts with my tithe. My local conference supports ordination of women which the world church has voted against. After much prayer and Bible study I did not find any admonition for the ordination of women elders and pastors. I do find Joel saying God’s spirit will be poured out on young maidens as well as others before the coming of our precious Lord and Savior.

These are leaders that care more for the fleece than the flock.

This reminds me of Pilate when he washed his hands to try to proclaim his innocence. There’s not enough water in the world to wash away the guilt of these leaders. Only public repentance in sackcloth and ashes will do.

Adventism is being overrun with CEOs and politicians instead of real pastors, whose job is to safeguard the church.

This is truly heartbreaking that the church will continue to sponsor this program.

I personally would NEVER return my tithes or contribute in any way to an organization that upholds this practice.
