On December 20, 2021, Pastor Andres Ploompuu, the President of the Adventist Church in Estonia, met with the President of the Republic of Estonia, Alar Karis, along with other “members” of the Estonian Council of Churches, which includes Lutherans, Methodists, Roman Catholics, Baptists, Orthodox, Pentecostals and Seventh-day Adventists. [1] [2] The Adventist President, Andres Ploompuu, offered the following observations concerning the meeting between the churches and the head of state:
“It was nice to hear all of the heads of different churches proclaim that we have good relationships while we all have our own mission. This kind of Council of Churches which we have in Estonia is not seen in many other places in the world,” added Ploompuu. “It was a day of building bridges. The president was exceedingly friendly and it was obvious that he really was interested in hearing about the role of churches in our society.” [3]

According to Estonia’s senior Seventh-day Adventist, all of Estonia’s churches have “good relations,” and the “president was exceedingly friendly” and “interested” in the role of religion in society. The Estonian Council of Churches, of which Adventists are “members,” sponsored this happy “bridge-building” event. Here is the big problem. This is the same Estonian Council of Churches that is working to build bridges with the Pope of Rome.
The member churches met with Pope Francis and expressed “gratitude on behalf of the Council of Estonian Churches.” They specifically reported that the Pope was “greeted by the leaders” of the “member churches.” During their meeting with Pope Francis, Roman Catholic Archbishop Andres Põder, President of the Estonian Council of Churches, gave the following remarks:
“It is a great joy, Holy Father, that meeting with you builds this living bridge between the past and the future, earthly and heavenly, and helps us to experience the unifying love and presence of Christ.” [4]
“The Council of Estonian Churches presented Pope Francis with a card entitled ‘Churches of Mary in Maryland,’ which was made in connection with the 800th anniversary of the dedication of Livonia and Estonia to the Virgin Mary.” [4]
Building bridges with the Pope of Rome and a dedication service to the Virgin Mary? How long will we continue to justify and defend the modern interfaith movement, as well as our active participation in it? According to prophecy, Rome will rise to the point where she will become the voice of the churches. There was a time when there was no sign that something like this could happen. However, God’s word still says that before our Lord’s return, the Papacy will rise in power until it becomes the world’s most influential player in political and religious affairs. And, regrettably, the apostate Protestant churches are playing a key role in ensuring the Papacy’s full and final restoration.
“When Protestantism shall stretch her hand across the gulf to grasp the hand of the Roman power, when she shall reach over the abyss to clasp hands with spiritualism, when, under the influence of this threefold union, our country shall repudiate every principle of its Constitution as a Protestant and republican government and shall make provision for the propagation of papal falsehoods and delusions, then we may know that the time has come for the marvelous working of Satan and that the end is near” (Testimonies for the Church, Vol., p. 451).
How will Protestantism be able to stretch across the gulf? How will it cross the chasm towards Rome? By bridge-building, as the President of the Estonian Adventist Church put it. We are building bridges to Rome and to the other churches. All this bridge-building we see in our world today is pointing to the fulfillment of Bible prophecy. The Roman Catholic Church is not only willing but ready to take up its role in international affairs, and all political and religious leaders are looking to Rome, hoping that such a powerful figure as the Pope will be able to navigate the current chaos. Everything seems to be in place for this religious and political power to fulfill her destiny.
Rome’s international status and power have grown throughout the current pandemic. Her rapid rise from defeat and near-political obscurity in 1798 to the position she enjoys now is unmatched in history. Soon, the “deadly wound” will be entirely healed, and “all the world” will go after her in “wonder” and admiration, as the Bible predicts (Revelation 13:3). For decades, Adventists have been proclaiming these prophetic truths. Our understanding of the Three Angels’ Messages of Revelation 14:6-10 and 18:1-4 has always included the restoration of Papal authority, culminating into a world-wide religious power, so there should be no ambiguity on our part in conveying these things.
The speed with which some of these prophecies are coming true should awaken us. Unfortunately, many of our people are being lulled to sleep by the ecumenical movement. Many people fail to recognize the significance of what is transpiring on the world stage. And it is possible to become so blinded that we join the enemy’s ranks and aid them in their efforts to impose the papal agenda. Jesus gave the following warning:
“And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.” Luke 21:34-36.
There has never been a better time for the presentation of the great prophecies of Revelation. Our own members, as well as the general public, need to know the meaning of the events we are witnessing. Jesus said to His disciples: “Many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them” (Matt. 13:17). “But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear” (verse 16). As witnesses of the soon coming King, we are given the following admonition:
“Those who stand before the people as teachers of truth are to grapple with great themes … We are to keep abreast of the times, bearing a clear, intelligent testimony, guided by the unction of the Holy Spirit” (Evangelism, p. 151).
May God help us to flee the assemblies of those who work to build bridges to Rome, and may we instead occupy ourselves with our God-given responsibilities.
“For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty … We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts.” 2 Peter 1:16, 19.

Another sell out in the Adventist church.
Bernhard Ficker says
You are distorting and misrepresenting the situation. There is a major difference in being involved with ecumenism and making friends with other denominations. We must make friends with other churches if we want to share the third angels message with them. That is what EGW advises
Eugene says
Bernhard, problem is that no one shares the message at such meetings. What do you think there Adventists preach the message: “Come out my people from Babylon?

That is so wrong…. 🤔 Just read and think about what u just said okay.

Adventism is not the biblical faith it used to be. Makes me sad and I’ve only been in it for 20 years! :(……. I barely attend church anymore because so many SDA churches have congregations that have worldly dress, pastors, doctrines, and music. I stay home to listen to present truth videos. Come £ORD Jesus come!!

We have no business in these meetings. Egw says, ” GOD DOES NOTHING IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE DEVIL.”

Our people need to wake up and sever these connections and instead proclaim the message for this time, “Come out of her my people” (Revelation 18:4).

Aloha from the Island of Maui, SMK!
Another “Home Run!”
Keep on hitting ’em! Hopefully some will wake up!
The Lord’s Remnant Ecclesia of Living Stones stand with you, to give the Loud Cry of the 4th Angel’s Message to the whole world! This message includes and extends far beyond the confines of the Seventh Day Adventist Church religious system!
The scattered stones that the Lord has seeded throughout the earth, in this the Acharon (the terminal or last generation) are now being gathered together under the banner of Truth from all segments of human activity. And is replacing all lukewarm professed “Christians” so quickly that their heads will spin! For they have no oil in their lamps! Woe! Unto them that call evil good, and good evil;…!
May the Lord be with all who love and are preparing to meet their God! Hold on to the Rock of our Salvation, for it’s going to be a rough 2022!
Aloha, a peaceful Sabbath to all.
Your brother in Christ, Maka’ala Stone

Aloha Saints,
By the way, the Remnant Ecclesia of Living Stones, are in the business of ” burning our bridges behind us!”
So, ” you better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout, I’m telling you why, the Lord our God is coming to town! Ho! Ho! Ho!

Ridiculous. Apparently this Adventist Pastor knows nothing about the church doctrines. A representative from our church had no business being at that meeting. What was he thinking?? However, we shouldn’t be surprised, as Mrs. White said the church would come to this.
Four Angels Messages says
The Lord desires his servants to preserve their holy and peculiar character. “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers,” is his command; “for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? and what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, and will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.” {RH, February 1, 1906 par. 6}
Never was there a time in earth’s history when this warning was more appropriate than at the present time. Many professed Christians think, like Solomon, that they may unite with the ungodly, because their influence over those who are in the wrong will be beneficial; but too often they themselves, entrapped and overcome, yield their sacred faith, sacrifice principle, and separate themselves from God. One false step leads to another, till at last they place themselves where they can not hope to break the chains that bind them. {RH, February 1, 1906 par. 7}

What relationship does christ have with belial ; the leaders of general conference are dining with man of sin yet they know our obligation in the three angels message this is very sad. we are supposed to build walls with rome not bridges because it’s the man of sin who altered the law of God not to have any connection with the antichrist .We as seventh day Adventists are supposed to exalt christ and his moral law just the ancient israelites did and provoked wrath from God. Yet we are supposed to learn their fatal mistakes as admonition to us who are living in these last days.
