“O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.” Psalm 96:9.
As Pentecostal-style worship practices fully replace the sacred and reverent atmosphere traditionally associated with Adventist worship, the situation in many Adventist churches has become deeply concerning. The bedlam of noise, shouting, and emotionally charged theatrics has replaced solemn, reverent, Holy Spirit-inspired worship with a spectacle that mirrors entertainment venues rather than houses of sacred devotion.
In the video, you will see the Sabbath morning worship service at the New Orleans East Seventh-day Adventist Church held on November 16, 2024. [1] This departure is a fulfillment of the following warning:
“Before the final visitation of God’s judgments upon the earth there will be among the people of the Lord such a revival of primitive godliness as has not been witnessed since apostolic times. The Spirit and power of God will be poured out upon His children … The enemy of souls desires to hinder this work; and before the time for such a movement shall come, he will endeavor to prevent it by introducing a counterfeit. In those churches which he can bring under his deceptive power he will make it appear that God’s special blessing is poured out; there will be manifest what is thought to be great religious interest. Multitudes will exult that God is working marvelously for them, when the work is that of another spirit. Under a religious guise, Satan will seek to extend his influence over the Christian world” (Great Controversy, p. 464).
Before the outpouring of the Latter Rain, Satan, with great success, seeks to confuse, deceive and lead our people into spiritual error so that we are left without receiving God’s blessing. This strategy undermines our connection with God and prevents His people from gaining the power that would allow us to take the gospel to the world, as the disciples did during the Early Rain.
In recent years, this troubling trend has emerged across the Adventist world as more and more churches are being transformed from houses of sacred worship into centers of entertainment. These so-called “entertainment churches” prioritize theatrics, elaborate performances, and emotionally driven spectacles over the reverent and meaningful worship of God.
“The things you have described as taking place in Indiana, the Lord has shown me would take place just before the close of probation. Every uncouth thing will be demonstrated. There will be shouting, with drums, music, and dancing. The senses of rational beings will become so confused that they cannot be trusted to make right decisions. And this is called the moving of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit never reveals itself in such methods, in such a bedlam of noise. This is an invention of Satan to cover up his ingenious methods for making of none effect the pure, sincere, elevating, ennobling, sanctifying truth for this time.” (Selected Messages, Vol. 2, p. 36).
If we wish to take part in the closing work, obtain the seal of God, and be protected during the seven last plagues, we cannot embrace Satan’s counterfeit and join his movement that grieves God’s Holy Spirit. At this very moment, let us seek to preserve holy worship, not transform it into a bedlam of confusion.
Don’t go to these churches. Find a present-truth church, even if you have to drive two hours. We must resist the temptation to conform to worldly trends and instead preserve the sacredness of worship, ensuring that our churches remain houses of prayer, reverence, and God-centered devotion.

It is so sad to see how openly the counsels given to us in the Testimonies are rejected. We are rejecting the light that will protect us from the devices of Satan.

This is not Adventism. It’s a New Orleans blues and jazz club.

No matter how many times these “Adventists” are called out and exposed in cyberspace ( and I’m sure many of them see these critiques of their rebellion) they just keep doing it.
