Rick Warren, a prominent figure and household name in evangelical Christianity, will be heading to the Asbury Revival to assist in bringing the movement to other college and university campuses across America. On February 23, 2023, Rick Warren and others who believe that the Asbury Revival is a powerful manifestation of God will host a Collegiate Day of Prayer at Asbury University.
The following announcement was made by the Collegiate Day of Prayer, a non-profit, interdenominational Christian organization:
“GOD IS ON THE MOVE AT ASBURY!! Spontaneous prayers, worship, praise, confession of sin, repentance and testimonies have been going on around the clock for over 120 hours now at Asbury University!! Students and visitors have been gathering and lingering in Hughes Auditorium with awe in the presence of God since a Wednesday morning chapel encountering Jesus, getting right with God, and having their faith renewed!” [1]
“We are believing that what God is birthing at Asbury will spread to campuses across America. Join believers across America as we unite our faith to FAST and PRAY over the next 10 days until Collegiate Day of Prayer on February 23 for 20 million students on 4,300 college campuses.” [1]
“Let’s ADOPT and saturate EVERY CAMPUS in America in prayer and join us on Feb 23 @ 8-10 pm ET as we stream LIVE from Asbury for Collegiate Day of Prayer with special guests Pastor Rick Warren, Francis Chan of Crazy Love, Allen Hood and worship leaders from International House of Prayer, Circuit Riders + Black Voices Movement and Met By Love Worship. Let’s believe God for REVIVAL amongst believers on college campuses and SPIRITUAL AWAKENING amongst the lost. Father, revive the saved and save the lost!!” (Collegiate Day of Prayer) [1]
Rick Warren, the Sunday-keeping, Southern Baptist mega-church pastor, is on his way to Asbury to help support the work of revival. This is the same popular preacher who is often associated with a more positive and smooth message that doesn’t emphasize heresy, apostasy, or call out the popular sins of the day. Rick Warren is the head of a ministry empire that is training thousands of pastors and millions of Christians across denominational lines with his purpose-driven seminars, which are based on his well-known bestselling book, The Purpose-Driven Life. The problem with Rick Warren’s book is that he downplays the significance of studying and preaching the Bible’s end-time prophecies.
Rick Warren says the following about the second coming of Jesus on pages 285 and 286 of his book, The Purpose-Driven Life:
“When the disciples wanted to talk about prophecy, Jesus quickly switched the conversation to evangelism. He wanted them to concentrate on their mission in the world. He said in essence, ‘The details of my return are none of your business. What is your business is the mission I’ve given you. Focus on that!’ … What we do know for sure is this: Jesus will not return until everyone God wants to hear the Good News has heard it. Jesus said, ‘The Good News about God’s kingdom will be preached in all the world, to every nation. Then the end will come.’ If you want Jesus to come back sooner, focus on fulfilling your mission, not figuring out prophecy.” [2]
Jesus never “switched” the conversation about prophecy to evangelism. The entire chapter of Matthew 24 is an extensive explanation that Jesus gave about the signs and fulfillments of prophecy in relation to His second coming. And Rick Warren, who doesn’t believe in emphasizing prophecy, has allied himself with Pope Francis, the Beast of Revelation 13. If Warren had been reading Revelation 13, 17, and 18, he would have known not to follow the “beast.” Consequently, in an interview with EWTN, a Catholic cable television network, Rick Warren said that Pope Francis was “our new Pope” and that in his capacity as Pope, he is “doing everything right.”
Rick Warren, an evangelical pastor who supports Pope Francis and his pro-ecumenical, non-doctrinal and non-prophetic message, will never give you a warning about the antichrist, the beast, the image of the beast, or the mark. In fact, he will take you straight into the arms of Rome and the World Economic Forum’s globalists. According to Rick Warren, the Christian churches are the true globalists and are necessary for the WEF to carry out their mission.
In the Bible, Jesus spoke about false prophets in the last days on several occasions. One of the best-known passages is found in Matthew 24, where Jesus describes the signs of the end of the world and warns his disciples to be on guard against false teachers who will come to deceive them:
“And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.” Matthew 24:4, 5.
“And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.” Matthew 24:11.
“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.” Matthew 24:24.
In this passage, Jesus warns that false teachers and prophets will arise, claiming to have a special message from God. He cautions his followers to be on guard against these deceivers and to remain faithful to the end. Other writers in the New Testament also issued warnings about false prophets who will deceive people and corrupt the true message of Jesus:
“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.” 1 John 4:1.
“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.” 2 Peter 2:1-3.
“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” 2 Timothy 4:3, 4.

Thank you so much for this article… I came into the SDA beliefs 3 year ago… I guess you would say a part of end time shaking… been a Christian since 16 year old … now 66 years old…. I have been….mentored beautifully in the history of the faith of the forefathers of our church…. Many different denominations coming together for the great purpose of understanding prophecy and true obedience to God’s commands…. We are living in the last days before his return of this I am sure …. So with that in mind I want to not be deceived as our Lord said in Matthew… be a watchman even in this happening in Asbury… but this just does not set right with me but I will not criticize them… the Lord can expose things if he chooses… I heard someone say are you going to Asbury? Their response was I just left church and participated in communion … I have my revival… I think we can all have revival everyday if we will confess and be accountable to our Lord… also I don’t like repetition over and over … that bothers me…concerns me… but most of all the wrong right getting involved like Warren and Chan and many others… I think we are going to see a shift to something in the name of Christianity to a belief it is the right everyone is looking for but it will be the wrong right… just how all this impresses me…

“Yea MUST be born again”. Jesus himself told Nicodemus that very word when he ask Jesus “what must I do to be saved?” John 3:2-21
3 There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. 2 This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.”
3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
4 Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”
5 Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
9 Nicodemus answered and said to Him, “How can these things be?”
10 Jesus answered and said to him, “Are you the teacher of Israel, and do not know these things? 11 Most assuredly, I say to you, We speak what We know and testify what We have seen, and you do not receive Our witness. 12 If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things? 13 No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven. 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. 21 But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”

Is it possible that an admirer of the beast is able to bring about an awakening of true piety???
« I saw that God has honest children among the nominal Adventists and the fallen churches, and before the plagues shall be poured out, ministers and people will be called out from these churches and will gladly receive the truth. Satan knows this; and before the loud cry of the third angel is given, he raises an excitement in these religious bodies, that those who have rejected the truth may think that God is with them. »

As soon as I heard that Rick Warren was going, I knew it was of the devil. No one thinks of Isaiah 8:20!!! It is all about love, love, love. Love will not get you into heaven. Truth in God’s word, and a relationship with Jesus Christ will get you into heaven. We are to be wise as serpents and gentle as doves. Beware of false prophets, and false gatherings!
I am just wondering if Diope will attend??? Will the GC back this gathering as they pushed Vaccines on all Adventists??? I sure hope not!

My thoughts are as yours….we just need to pray God will open many many eyes through all this, that they may see clearly who Jesus is, was and always will be.
The atonement on the cross….Jesus paid it All…all who invite Jesus into their heart/life will be cleansed by the blood which was shed, that we can be redeemed from all sin, saved and have an eternal life with Jesus.
Watch who you follow…beware of deception….follow Jesus
To God be the Glory!!!

I think the Asbury movement started by sincere God-seeking individuals. All the hallmarks of true revival. Prayer meeting. How many people show up for those unless sincerely seeking God? Not planned. No formal program.
Which is easy pickings for someone that wants to hi-jack it and steer it for their purpose.

The author of this piece is wrong. The Revelation has already happened. When John wrote these words from prison, he was describing what was happening at the time, politically and symbolically. The 7 headed monster is symbolic for the 7 kings, or 7 governments in the political system. The 10 horns represent solemn states. The political situation at the time was horrific, and Jesus spoke much more about Heaven than He ever did about hell. What is important is living for Jesus, walking in His footsteps, fulfilling His mission and His orders to spread the Word. If you live in fear of hell and with a lack of understanding that causes you to think there are really monsters, then you have missed the message of Jesus and the meaning of this life. The meaning is to find God’s Will for your life, His purpose for you, and help others to find The Way. The God I worship is love and He is our comfort and salvation. He doesn’t send people to hell, yet they choose hell over a life walking with Jesus. Focus on leading people to Christ because of the wonderful life and eternity that awaits them rather than misleading them with uninformed fear.
