Amazon is selling the new Holy Spirit Board for $29.95, which claims that you and your friends can communicate directly with Jesus if you sit together in a dimly lit room, holding hands or forming a circle. It’s the “Christian” version of the Ouija board, in which participants receive spelled out messages and answers to their questions from spirits or other so-called supernatural entities. This is pure divination and is typical of what is done in occult rituals. However, Amazon promises that you will not hear messages from any demon, only from Jesus. Amazon states the following in their promotional material:
- The Holy Spirit Board by Holy Spirit Games – Christian Religious Talking Board for Séance with Planchette.
- GET THE ANSWERS YOU NEED! – The Holy Spirit Board can answer all of life’s most important questions, straight from the man himself!
- Huge 12×18” game board with beautiful artwork featuring the crucifixion and the angels of heaven.
- Beautiful golden Magic Cross planchette with metallic mirrored finish.
- Perfect for churches, prayer groups or just getting together with friends.
- Unlike other spirit boards, this one will NEVER contact evil ghosts or demons, so you can ask your questions with an assured sense of safety. [1]
Here we see the “Holy Spirit” board game being marketed as a way to receive communications from Jesus. No, this is not a game but a deception from Satan. There is no substitute for reading the Holy Scriptures. We cannot get our messages from God through a board game. We have to go to the Holy Scriptures, the real source of truth. In fact, if Christians were actually reading their Bibles, they would run away from these shameful inventions because God’s word warns us about these very deceptions:
“But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him … For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.” 2 Corinthians 11:3, 4, 13, 14.
Satan doesn’t care if he uses a religious board game to seduce us. He will use whatever he can to ensnare us. One thing is certain: Satan will use spiritualism wrapped up in a “Christian guise” in order to deceive the masses.
“It is true that spiritualism is now changing its form and, veiling some of its more objectionable features, is assuming a Christian guise. But its utterances from the platform and the press have been before the public for many years, and in these its real character stands revealed. These teachings cannot be denied or hidden. Even in its present form, so far from being more worthy of toleration than formerly, it is really a more dangerous, because a more subtle, deception. While it formerly denounced Christ and the Bible, it now professes to accept both” (Great Controversy, p. 577).
The world is rapidly being swept away by spiritualism. Today, you can find spiritualism practically everywhere. It’s found in religion, politics, the entertainment industry, sports, and even in our own homes. Unfortunately, the world prefers to communicate with spirits rather than with God and through His word, and many people are oblivious to this end-time deception. Of all people, Seventh-day Adventists should know this, and we should be giving a warning to the world to reject any attempt to communicate with the spirit world by reaching “over the abyss to clasp hands with spiritualism” (Last Day Event, p. 131).
“Yet none need be deceived. In the light of God’s Word it is not difficult to determine the nature of these movements. Wherever men neglect the testimony of the Bible, turning away from those plain, soul-testing truths which require self-denial and renunciation of the world, there we may be sure that God’s blessing is not bestowed” (Great Controversy, p. 646).

Evil presenting itself not as a devil with a fork as the world has come to believe, but Satan disguising as an angel of light. Watch! And Pray.

Perhaps this will awaken our very own church that Spiritual Formation is none other than Spiritualism with a new name. The format is much the same. So many of our church pastors are following this and the sheep in the pews are not awake (Laodicea) enough to recognize this. They are not even aware of the name of Spiritual Formation – but it is “The Emergent Church.” God forgive us and wake us up.

Before I became a Seventh-day Adventist Christian I played around with a regular Ouija board. It was back in the early 70’s. Let me warn everyone, it is of the devil. It told me things that were going to happen, and they did happen!!! No one knows these things but God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, and Satan and his evil angels.
This board is purely of the devil….DO NOT GET NEAR IT!!!
