The Elizabethton Star, a newspaper published on the eastern side of Tennessee, has both a print and online edition. On March 28, 2023, Michael Klaus, Senior Pastor for the First Christian Church, published an article titled “The Lord’s Day.” In it, he thanked God for Sunday, which he claimed to be the Lord’s Day. The article said:
“Sunday is traditionally called ‘The Lord’s Day’ and Sunday 3/26/23 was given to the Lord in songs and singing from the heart. It was good to give all we had to the Lord without preferences and pleas. The Lord was honored by beautiful violin music by Lindsay Williams and then the congregation sang ‘Angus Dei’ (Lamb of God) to a beautiful acapella crescendo as ‘Amens’ rang out around the pews. We just finished a series called ‘Heavenly Worship’ and we got a taste of that with joy coming from all involved … First Christian Church of Elizabethton had a fundraising concert to benefit Restore Ukraine, a local nonprofit dedicated to humanitarian aid. The variety and quality of music was unmatched. I have been to concerts in large metro cities that were not as well performed. There was Classical music, Inspirational Gospel, Contemporary Christian and Traditional hymns all performed by Godly men and women who simply wanted to serve the Lord and help our brothers and sisters in war torn Ukraine. The highlight of the night for me was the community choir all dressed in royal purple singing ‘you are the source of my strength’ and then the congregation singing along. This Lord’s Day was filled with telling our joy to one another by worshiping God and by helping needy people in Ukraine. It is an amazing thing when we focus on worshiping God and loving others. Thank you, Lord, for a great day: The Lord’s Day. Michael Klaus, Sr. Minister, First Christian Church.” [1]
The responsibility of the secular media is to provide unbiased and factual reporting on current events, issues, and topics of interest to the general public. They are expected to present news objectively and fairly, regardless of their personal religious or political beliefs. That isn’t always the case, especially when discussing Sunday as the Lord’s Day and the day of rest. Many times this unbalance exists due to personal biases, financial incentives provided by certain advertisers, and even pressure from outside forces.
Whatever the reason, we know that the world is being made drunk on the wine of Babylon and that Sunday worship will become the Mark of the Beast when enforced by law. Keeping this day does not bring honor to God, as suggested by The Elizabethton Star. By observing Sunday, people pay homage to the Beast of Revelation, not to the Creator-God of the Universe. The three-fold message of Revelation 14 is God’s only and final solution for the last-day deceptions that will sweep the entire world. They place a strong emphasis on the seventh-day Sabbath and reveal the close relationship between obedience and faith. That is why the devil hates these messages because they expose his master plan of deception, which has entrapped the entire world.
The Lord’s true Sabbath day, Saturday, is a distinct, unmistakable, and eternal sign that honors God as both Creator and Redeemer. We know from Scripture that God created the world in six days and rested on the seventh day (Genesis 2:2). He then blessed and sanctified the Sabbath (Genesis 2:3). He gave it to us by commandment, written in His law (Exodus 20:8–11). While on earth, He kept the Sabbath (Luke 4:16) and instructed His disciples to do the same (Matthew 24:20). And throughout eternity, from Sabbath to Sabbath, we will all come to worship before the Lord (Isaiah 66:23). The Sabbath will never pass away (Psalms 89:34). We are to rejoice in His Sabbath (Isaiah 58:13), for it is a sign between God and His people (Ezekiel 20:20). It is also a sign to remind us that He is also our Redeemer who sanctifies us (Ezekiel 20:12). It is a monument of His love toward us (1 John 5:3, John 14:15). This Sabbath message is to be proclaimed to the entire world (Revelation 14:6–12).
In contrast, the Antichrist power of the last days believes that he is greater than our God (2 Thessalonians 2:4). This power speaks words against the Most High and has attempted to change times and laws, specifically the Sabbath commandment (Daniel 7:25). Sunday worship is considered an abomination to God (Ezekiel 8:16). Through “peace,” he is determined to destroy humanity (Daniel 8:25). It has the world captive and drunk on its false doctrines (Revelation 17:2). This is the abomination that will bring in the final desolation for the entire world (Matthew 24:15). Also known as the “man of sin, the son of perdition” (2 Thessalonians 2:3), this “beast” (Revelation 13:2) takes the name “Holy Father,” a name that belongs to God alone (John 17:11). He is compared to Christ and is served by the entire world (Revelation 13:3, 4). In the end, this power will be destroyed with the devil and all those who follow his falsehoods (Revelation 19:20 and 20:10). The Third Angel’s Message gives a world-wide warning against Sunday worship by law—the “mark of the beast” (Revelation 14:9–11).

Mark 2:27-28
And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: [28] Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.
Isaiah 58:13
If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the Lord, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:
Sunday as said is a Traditional day of worship and not the the day blessed and sanctified and hallowed by the God of Heaven and earth.
