What was once condemned as idolatrous and pagan is now being embraced by the ecumenical movement as part of God’s will for the universal human fraternity that is being created. On December 12, 2021, Saint Mary of the Lake Catholic Church in Chicago, Illinois, invited a group of dancers to portray the old pagan Aztec religion, which included worship of their many gods and goddesses. They offered incense in front of a picture of the Virgin Mary while invoking the spirits of the Aztec gods in the Roman Catholic Church.
According to Pope Francis, this is how ecumenism should work. Welcome to the new ecumenical movement, which is open to everyone. The “Document on Human Fraternity,” signed by Pope Francis and Sheikh Ahmed el-Tayed in Abu Dhabi, allows for participation in demonic worship. Rome’s Document on Human Fraternity says the following in paragraph 27:
“The pluralism and the diversity of religions, color, sex, race and language are willed by God in His wisdom, through which He created human beings. This divine wisdom is the source from which the right to freedom of belief and the freedom to be different derives.” [2]
This is a troubling statement, as it implies that God intentionally willed the “diversity of religions” to exist. This claims that idol worship and the invocation of demonic spirits are part of God’s plan for humanity. This is the message that Pope Francis and his ecumenical movement are promoting. This is why we are absolutely opposed to all interfaith gatherings that promote the idea that God wants people to worship false gods, embrace superstitions, believe in heresy and live in deception. This assertion contradicts the entire Bible’s theme, both in the Old and New Testaments.
The truth is that worshiping anyone or anything other than the Creator is a violation of the First and Second Commandments (Exodus 20:3, 4). Any participation in the worship of idols or of any other god is condemned. It is a serious sin, subject to God’s judgment. The apostle Paul made it clear that these prayers and offerings were not offered to God but to demons:
“What say I then? that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing? But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils. Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils. Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he?” 1 Corinthians 10:19-22.
“When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.” Deuteronomy 18:9.
“Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. For the customs of the people are vain.” Jeremiah 10:2, 3.
Thanks to ecumenism, the churches are imitating the abominations found in paganism and bringing them into the church. Paganism cannot honor God because it pays homage to demonic forces. Ecumenism is opening the door to the demonic desecration of the modern church through spiritualism. Roman Catholicism and spiritualism are working together, hand in hand, in full communion. Apostate Protestants are also working together and embracing the demonic worship of paganism. We are seeing the development of the “threefold union” take shape; it’s all part of the fulfillment of prophecy:
“Protestantism shall stretch her hand across the gulf to grasp the hand of the Roman power, when she shall reach over the abyss to clasp hands with spiritualism, when, under the influence of this threefold union, our country shall repudiate every principle of its Constitution” (Last Day Events, p. 131).
Why did God call Abraham out of idol-worshiping Babylon if idol worship was God’s will for mankind? Why did God give a 10 Commandment moral law that forbids the worship of other gods if it was God’s will that these gods be worshiped? Why did Jesus command His disciples to teach all nations and baptize them in His name if it wasn’t even God’s will for people to believe in His Son at all? And why would God give a final warning message in these last days to every nation and people (Revelation 14) if everyone is already living out God’s will?
Do you see how dangerous this ecumenical gospel is? It turns the God of heaven into a God of relativism. He becomes a God who doesn’t have any truth and who doesn’t care what people do or believe? The only logical conclusion to the ecumenical lie is that every religious faith system known to man, including nature worship and the worship of demons, is actively willed by God for the good and benefit of mankind. This completely undermines the entire plan of salvation and attributes Christ’s life, death, burial, resurrection and heavenly intercession as unnecessary.
“Satan determines to unite them in one body, and thus strengthen his cause by sweeping all into the ranks of Spiritualism … Papists, Protestants, and worldlings will alike accept the form of godliness without the power, and they will see in this union a grand movement for the conversion of the world, and the ushering in of the long-expected millennium.” (Great Controversy, pp. 588, 589).
This generation has become so blind that it cannot distinguish the holy from the profane? Ecumenism is incapable of differentiating between God and satanic idols. And how can Protestant churches, including many of our people, participate in a “fraternal” communion with demons in the modern ecumenical movement? It’s already happening. [3]
Don’t fall for that, and don’t believe their lies. The everlasting gospel is the only means by which we are saved (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). God has given His people the sacred duty of taking His gospel, in context of Revelation 14:6-12, to the entire world. This is how to prepare people for heaven. May we commit ourselves to spreading this final message to every nation, kindred, tongue and people. And may the following words stir our souls into action as we realize that multitudes of people across the world are trapped in the darkness of spiritualism and ecumenism, hoping to catch a glimpse of the gospel light:
“Oh, if our people would feel as they should the responsibility resting upon them to give the last message of mercy to the world, what a wonderful work would be done! Behold the cities, and their need of the gospel! The need of earnest laborers among the multitudes of the cities has been kept before me for more than twenty years. Who are carrying a burden for the large cities? A few have felt the burden, but in comparison with the great need and the many opportunities but little attention has been given to this work” (Testimonies, Vol. 9, p. 97).

We in America practice human sacrifice at a level that would shock the Aztecs. They sacrificed at certain times, we do every day of the week. At their peak, 5 to 6 million people, either by conquest or commerce were within the Aztec realm. Tenochtitlán at its height had more than 140,000 inhabitants, and was the most densely populated city ever to exist in Mesoamerica.
We have sacrificed through abortion more than 10 times their total population and we eliminate their largest city a little more than four times a year just in the United States.
Knowing today what happened to the Aztecs due to their practice of human sacrifice, we should fear our fate before the face of the Creator of all and cry out for mercy while we continue to battle the spirit of human sacrifice. See http://www.torah2life.org
