‘The Remnant Church Versus the Relevant Church’ is a Sabbath sermon about two churches that exist in our day. The Remnant Church is a people who have a special relationship with God. The Relevant Church is a people who have a special relationship with the world. One remains faithful to our prophetic message and to our historical mission, regardless of culture or consequences. The other does not want to offend anyone, hurt people’s feelings and is more concerned with what others think about them.
“The Lord gives a special truth for the people in an emergency. Who dare refuse to publish it? He commands His servants to present the last invitation of mercy to the world. They cannot remain silent, except at the peril of their souls. Christ’s ambassadors have nothing to do with consequences. They must perform their duty and leave results with God.” (Great Controversy, pp. 609, 610).
