“The coming of Christ will take place in the darkest period of this earth’s history. The days of Noah and Lot pictured the condition of the world just before the coming of the Son of man … Not only is Satan leading the world captive, but his deceptions are leavening the professed churches of our Lord Jesus Christ. The great apostasy will develop into darkness deep as midnight” (Christ Object Lessons, p. 414).
There is a dangerous deception sweeping Adventism. Adventist education is modernizing its programs in an effort to attract young people. Worldliness, sensuality, and music are leavening the spirituality and godliness of every institution, and Seventh-day Adventists are no exception.
The Seventh-day Adventist Matriculation Higher Secondary School, located in Vepery, Chennai, is part of the educational system of the Southeast Indian Union of Seventh-day Adventists. [1] They recently celebrated their 55th Annual Day Celebration in 2024, which tragically included young boys dancing provocatively to worldly music.
In the video, you will see how the “minors” are moving their hips in a Seventh-day Adventist school. What’s even more disturbing is the joy and applause from the audience and all the smiles from the little children. Welcome to the future. This is what some envision for our young people, as our standards in entertainment and music have completely collapsed.
They are making a mockery of the God of Heaven by bringing all this into the church. If we do not instill in our young children a sense of moral values, if we do not mold pure characters in their lives to prepare them for heaven, then we will reap the bitterest reproaches from our children on the Day of Judgment:
“Parents were bitterly reproaching their children, and children their parents, brothers their sisters, and sisters their brothers. Loud, wailing cries were heard in every direction, ‘It was you who kept me from receiving the truth which would have saved me from this awful hour.’ The people turned upon their ministers with bitter hate and reproached them, saying, ‘You have not warned us. You told us that all the world was to be converted, and cried, Peace, peace, to quiet every fear that was aroused. You have not told us of this hour; and those who warned us of it you declared to be fanatics and evil men, who would ruin us’.” (Early Writings, p. 282).

Iniquitous practices had become so prevalent among all classes that the few who remained true to God were often tempted to lose heart and to give way to discouragement and despair. It seemed as if God’s purpose for Israel were about to fail and that the rebellious nation was to suffer a fate similar to that of Sodom and Gomorrah.{PK 306.2}
