According to a shocking new survey on church attendance only 20% of millennials (those under 30 years old) give any value to church attendance. And 35% of young adults are anti-church and antagonistic towards religion. The numbers in this survey is truly sobering and prophetic. This is telling us that an entire generation of young people is basically lost.
Jesus predicted that this faith crises would take place at the end of the world. Jesus prophesied that many would give up and would stop exercising true faith. This is why He made this question as a warning for our day:
“Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?” Luke 18:8.
Jesus was looking down to final generation, the one that would see Him return in the clouds of glory, and He wondered if there would be any true genuine faith on the earth when He returned for the second time.
This fulfillment has come to pass. The church in America is in a state of crisis as we are losing our Christian religion and identity. This problem is compounded because most churches are asleep and just continue on with a “business and usual” attitude as if nothing was wrong. The religion of Christ is under assault and we cannot keep doing the same things we’ve been doing.
This generation of believers needs to start trusting in God again. We need to be persistent and immovable in our belief in Him regardless of our surrounding circumstances. In this wicked age of unbelief, where so many doubts arise at every turn, we need to sincerely and wholeheartedly persist in the faith. Only those who remain steadfast with a living, vibrant faith will be saved.
“But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” Matthew 24:13.
The fate of our country and the world literally hangs in the balance. It is high time for the church to arise with a renewed sense of urgency and fulfill its gospel commission. Why? Because the signs of the times and seasons declare that we are at the END of the time of the end.
“And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.” Romans 13:11.
