Amen Sister! The spirit of competition is the antithesis of the Spirit of Christ.
I highly recommend the book “Strange Fire” by Dr. Barry Harker. He has done much research into the matter and clearly shows that Olympism is a religion and was designed to be so. They lift up the glory of sports, of competition, and encourage the basest of character traits hid behind the false veil of “Sportsmanship.”

We should not even be in sports of any sort that is competitive. So many SDA’s have lost sight of why we are here on this earth. We are to be an example to the world of what a real Christian should be. This does not include competing in national sports of any kind.
